My wife and travel back and forth to Oxford to visit my wife's Aunt and on occasion we will return to Buck It Pub and Grill. T he food is great, the service is great and they have a great selection of beers and specialty drinks. However, my recent visit to Buck It just as they opened for the lunch hour during the week was less than satisfying. The waitress, who appeared to be young, was more concerned with talking with the one customer at the bar than to keep an eye on our table. She was quick to take our drink order, but after she dropped them off, we didn't see her for a good 5+ minutes when we placed our food order. After the food was delivered, we never saw the girl until she brought us our check. The majority of the time you could hear her out back talking to the kitchen staff and then she would return to the bar and chat with the one person. At no point did she ever check on us to see how the meal was. Now to the food. My wife had the steak tips with fries and I had the bourbon chicken tips. The chicken was cooked well and had a BBQ sauce it was tossed in. Rice was very bland, but with some salt, pepper and BBQ sauce it was alive again. My wife's tips were cooked very well, but seriously under seasoned. A little salt can go a long way on steak. I was going to sample a smoked whiskey drink they had, but since the bartender was no where to be found, I settled on my soda. It's a good thing we didn't run out of drink, because we would have needed glow wands and flags to get the attention of the bartender. It's too bad because I had high praise for Buck It and the service it what drives my review from a 5-start to a 2-star. Customer service is what makes this a great place, but the younger generation don't understand the first thing about interaction and customer service unless it's through a phone or social media app. It's too bad. Keep the seasoned employees on during lunch if you want to interact with the staff. read more

Apple picking with the g babies (pre-teens) this weekend. Stopped on our way home. I initially thought the prices were a little high but, honestly, what isn't today? The burgers were hand-made, not pre-pressed patties. Mushroom Swiss and cheeseburger both tasted great. There's a lot of cheese, and a decent amount of meat. Fries were crispy - just the way I like them. Chicken tenders came with several large tenders: good portion. Hand breaded. Real chicken. Our waitress was nice. There's free popcorn. While I can't verify this, my grandson said "it was the cleanest bathroom of any restaurant." He was impressed. Lol. Seriously. read more

You wouldn't think this little shack on the side of the road in practically the middle of nowhere would have THE best chicken tenders you've ever tasted, but it's true. It's damn true. They melt in your mouth. There's always a fun atmosphere, a great spot for locals to play open mic, and amazing grub. read more

Great place! Two women were working at the bar when we came in on a Friday night. They were so sweet and friendly! We had some beers and watched the baseball game. The food was pretty good too. We had the taco quesadilla and bourbon chicken tips. Great portion sizes. The owner of the bar was there and came over to introduce himself. Very fun place. read more

Was working late near this place, as an out-of-towner. End of October, cold out, and the pizza was delicious!! Didn't mean to call so late to close as the hours showed at 1 AM, but they kindly confirmed 11 PM and still took my order. Super nice and really great pizza! Definitely stop in, might just be a bar and grill, but even a small pizza Hawaiian was seriously very good. And I don't put that too lightly. Great choice and definitely worth a bite and a beer. I'm not kidding you when I tell you that the cook literally makes the best burgers around and their pizza is to die for! Drinks are made right, beer is always varied, and there's a huge cooler full of bottles and various non beers. There's always something going on on the weekends, and their open mic's one of the best around. The bar is full of lots of regulars all the time and the owner is usually there to strike up a conversation and shoot the breeze. Really great people there. Highly, highly recommend! read more

My veggie fajita was served all on the same plate with 3 flour tortillas, room temp, and small portion of onion, green pepper, mushrooms and steamed broccoli- no seasoning, very bland. I've never had a bad meal here. Food is top notch. I especially like the chicken fingers, but it's all great food. Generous portions. Definitely a noisy, pub atmosphere, but that's what they advertise. Friendly staff. Not a long wait for the food. Take-out is an option, as well. read more
