Kids love the garlic knots, mozzarella sticks and pizza. This is our go to stop when we are looking for a thicker crust.

Today we came for a warm bowl of soup and fireplace , since it's chilly and raining outside. The clam chowder is a must ! It's honestly the best clam chowder I've ever tasted. It has a lot of the clam juice in it , so it's very flavorful and not overly thick like most clam chowders . It's perfectly balanced and full of clams. We also got the French onion soup. I really enjoyed their version of this classic. It has bourbon in it and has a very unique flavor. It's rich and has plenty of onions and broiled cheese on top. It has a flavor of its own , so don't come expecting your typical French onion soup! My hubby ordered the Maine lobster roll with a side salad, Instead of fries. I ordered the fish and chips remembering how tasty it was last summer! I'd probably skip the fish n chips. I didn't particularly love the taste of the fried fish. ( maybe because I am seed oil free! I'm not saying they cook with seed oils , I would just choose something else, next time ,because there are so many delicious choices ! ) Definitely check out my food pics attached! The lobster roll on their warm buttery roll is delicious! It's A nice size, too. His side salad was super fresh. The service here is excellent! Bradford was very friendly and helpful. We would've never discovered the ridiculously delicious clam chowder had he not recommended it! My only disappointment was that the fireplace wasn't burning. They said they only turn it on in the evening. They tried to clean it and get it going for us, though, so I really appreciate the effort ! They have a great staff , beautiful ambiance and a wide, delicious choice of food on their menu! If the owners read this review, perhaps they could compromise on cold rainy days and provide the fire place. I promise it will encourage more people to come in ! Pleasant surprise- they got the fireplace going as we were finishing our lunch so we moved to the chairs in front of the fireplace and just sat and enjoyed it for a few moments afterwards. Such a cozy spot.

The Bavarian pretzels were good (although not quite what I expected when ordering). For beer, there were only a few options I could tell were on house draft. Even though it's seasonal, I I'm not a fan of pumpkin beers and that constituted basically two out of four options. I tried their blood orange wheat beer, which had great citrus flavor but basically no real beer flavor (It would be great for someone who wakes up farmhouse style wheat beer, which is not me). I ended up ordering the IPA, which was fine but nothing spectacular/special. The ambiance was good; was there for lunch and was seated outside. There were some families with kids, but no one was too rambunctious. The service was ok, and is the only aspect where I'm docking a star on my rating; service was fairly slow and only really came when it was getting to the "where are they" stage. The actual serving was fine, but we didn't really see the wait staff enough to check in (or order a second drink). There is definitely room for improvement. I'd definitely come back, but mostly for the food!

Just delicious and well executed. *Onion rings are truly battered perfectly and well seasoned. *French Fries without personality and plain. Nothing special about these.

Being from New England, I'd seen the Sea Dog brand for years, but didn't know they had a brewery/restaurant. Service was a bit slow, but our server was awesome. Very friendly and had good banter. I ordered the haddock sandwich, blackened (haddock is a must in Maine) and my partner ordered the hummus wrap. I enjoyed the sandwich; nothing too special but really hit the spot. Plus the fries were perfect. My partner thought the wrap was hearty and filling. It's not the best spot for vegetarians, but there are decent options. I don't drink beer but was happy that they had my favorite regional cider available: Downeast. My partner really enjoyed his local beer. Worth a stop while you're looking for a meal with a view!

You can be polite, you can be a tip well, you can be loud or you can sit here with an empty glass and not say a word. Doesn't matter. Because the waitresses, who are physically 4' from you, won't make eye contact because they're too occupied making some junior high school whispers to their mate.
