Nice place! Good staff, decent bar food and great drinks! Karaoke is fun as well as watching the games! It's a great place to hang out!

Paul's bistro has the best food in town! We came the other night for dinner but I will post about…read morethat yumminess in another review! Today we came for a warm bowl of soup and fireplace , since it's chilly and raining outside. The clam chowder is a must ! It's honestly the best clam chowder I've ever tasted. It has a lot of the clam juice in it , so it's very flavorful and not overly thick like most clam chowders . It's perfectly balanced and full of clams. We also got the French onion soup. I really enjoyed their version of this classic. It has bourbon in it and has a very unique flavor. It's rich and has plenty of onions and broiled cheese on top. It has a flavor of its own , so don't come expecting your typical French onion soup! My hubby ordered the Maine lobster roll with a side salad, Instead of fries. I ordered the fish and chips remembering how tasty it was last summer! I'd probably skip the fish n chips. I didn't particularly love the taste of the fried fish. ( maybe because I am seed oil free! I'm not saying they cook with seed oils , I would just choose something else, next time ,because there are so many delicious choices ! ) Definitely check out my food pics attached! The lobster roll on their warm buttery roll is delicious! It's A nice size, too. His side salad was super fresh. The service here is excellent! Bradford was very friendly and helpful. We would've never discovered the ridiculously delicious clam chowder had he not recommended it! My only disappointment was that the fireplace wasn't burning. They said they only turn it on in the evening. They tried to clean it and get it going for us, though, so I really appreciate the effort ! They have a great staff , beautiful ambiance and a wide, delicious choice of food on their menu! If the owners read this review, perhaps they could compromise on cold rainy days and provide the fire place. I promise it will encourage more people to come in ! Pleasant surprise- they got the fireplace going as we were finishing our lunch so we moved to the chairs in front of the fireplace and just sat and enjoyed it for a few moments afterwards. Such a cozy spot.

My husband and I were in the area and decided to try lunch here. When you walk in, you immediately…read morethink dive bar, and you're right, but that's not a bad thing! It was Blues Jam on Sunday and an older crowd of locals. Great music from several bands each playing a set. The waitstaff was friendly and helpful with drink orders and food choices. If you like cider, go for the Downeast Cider on draft - delicious and not overly sweet. Special on Sunday of $9 Bud Light pitchers. We mainly came in for lunch more so than for drinks. Another Sunday special is $.95 apiece wings. We got 8 extra crispy with the sweet chili sauce. Highly recommend! Main entree was a cheeseburger with grilled onions, mushrooms, and peppers with side of onion rings, and hubby had a Reuben with sweet potato fries. The burger was small but really good. Onion rings were crispy and not greasy. The Reuben was crisp on outside with good flavor. Although the portions weren't huge, you couldn't beat the price at $9.95 per meal. Everything is made to order by Ron in the back. If you are in a hurry for your meal and not planning to sit around and drink for the afternoon, just tell your waitress and I'm sure things will come out faster for you. Would come back again!
