The wings were spot on as they usually are. The Fiesta Lime Chicken was tasty as it should be. Got a brownie bite to top it off, yum. This Applebee's is by far the worst restaurant I've ever had to deal with. The whole staff is extremely rude. They advertise they have certain entrees which they don't really have and hang up on you when your trying to place your order. On May 16, 2021, I and my wife decided to go to Appleby's, on KMD, in Waterville, Me. We arrived about 2:00Pm in time for the lunch menu. I must admit that it was at the time. We were seated, ordered drinks, and our food as we knew what we wanted. I had a side salad that was very good, and a 6oz. steak with mashed potato. When I received my order, the steak was very burnt and dry, and also 1 1/2' wide. Now I've had a lot of steaks in my day, but never anything that looked like this. I did cut into it and popped a piece in my mouth, and it was almost gristle. Needles to say, I asked my waitress for another, and she graciously took it back. Half hour later, she brought back the preplacement. It was cooked well and looked normal. But this one was tough as nails. Rather than create a problem, I paid my bill and left. Now I can tell you that I won't be back, however, I know I will because it's close by and I have never had a problem there. But a heads up to the manager there, I would check out my cooks as it appears shouldn't have been cooking that day. read more

Tried the curbside to go again...... What the h. e. double hockey sticks is wrong with this? Every time we eat in, the food is fine. Every time we get curbside to go, it's sh#t. I had a very unsettling customer service experience at the Waterville location when I ordered lunch through the Applebee's App and was delivered by DoorDash. I spoke to a lady who randomly sent me to a man to talk to when I called Applebee's to get a refund for the bacon that I never received. I didn't complain. I just wanted a refund for the item that I never received. No big deal. The man gave me more attitude than my 7 year old niece. I was a big inconvenience to him at this point. He then said to me "WOW...so you want a refund for $2? Um okkk. Ok I guess I am putting in a credit for you for $2!" I know that may seem small to a lot of people and stupid, but I find that completely rude and the worst customer service experience I've ever had with Applebee's. People should never be treated like that especially by someone in customer service. Not impressed at all and I'm a huge Applebee's fan so it's very unfortunate. read more

I am from out of state and its almost worth a visit just to see the wonderful staff here, from the hostess to the manager I was taken back by how incredibly friendly they all were. In september, i went to Waterville Applebee's restaurant with a group of ppl. I wrote a review and for some reason it was removed. I thought Yelp was a website where you can tell your experience and rate the company so that ppl can be wary of businesses with bad reputation. Anyway, I will never go there again. I left without being waited after waiting for 20 minutes at the table that we were placed/given. It's gotten worse and worse over the last few years that I don't eat here any more unless I'm with a group and not part of the decision making any more. If I could revoke stars, I would. The customer service was atrocious. I came in with some of my friends for drinks and we all showed our id's. My friend's were approved but mine wasn't--even though mine was issued by immigration services, which is legally authorized by the US government. Plus, I have been using the Id everywhere...even this specific location every time I have been here. The server was extensively confused and called the manager who was extremely impolite and made racially insensitive remarks, such as implying the ID was fake. Then, I requested a different authority. He couldn't do anything and repeatedly mentioned he couldn't do anything. It is very disappointing for such a popular franchise to treat their customers in this way. This used to be one of my favorite places to out to eat. They have changed their menu now and I don't like any of it. Most of it is pasta and they don't have many affordable options any more. Went for the infamous half price apps after nine pm and for some dollar margaritas as they are usually pretty good. Our waitress was the bar tender who didn't really acknowledge us sitting at the bar. Our margaritas were good but i noticed they fill the cup up with ice to the top and use a glass that barley holds more than a double shot size of liquid.
