Just stopped in for an appetizer and drink because of a meeting in the area. We got a small onion ring and some frozen pickles and each got a beer. The white stuff are really terrific, but I do have to say this place is very very noisy. I really need to sound proof where the bar is. We were OK with it, but if you had had another couple people with us, we would not have been able to hear each other talk I can try some of the other food because it did look past the table and ring and pickles were pickles were good read more

If you love a loud environment, this is the place for you. The bar is next to the dining area and the atmosphere is not relaxing at all. Maybe they should work on their acoustics. The food was also subpar at best. The bright spot was the wait staff, she was awesome and really attentive! The two stars is because of the server! read more

So, I like this place and it probably would be five stars/ great to just come for a drink. My food experiences so far have been okay, but not great, with the exception of the amazing onion rings. Next time we're trying pizza so I'll update after that. read more

The server was very nice but the food is not worth the stop. Chicken quesadilla was greasy on the bottom and lack luster in taste. Chicken nuggets dry and over cooked. Steak sandwich had no flavor. Welp the waitress was a breath of fresh air and the beer cheese for pretzels was the best part of our meal. I wouldn't recommend the chicken Caesar salad wrap the croutons were unfortunately mushy the dressing was very odd for what you would think it should taste like. The pasta salad side I was told had chopped up veggies and Italian dressing but it lacked veggies once again the dressing was odd. My partner got the blackened chicken salad from the looks of things it could be made better with fresh greens homegrown tomatoes and croutons as they did not put any on the salad the house made blue cheese dressing was a great touch. Amazing spot with great food and awesome service. The pizzas are the best around and the sandwiches are killer. Their breakfast is a favorite of mine too with amazing homemade corned beef hash. The steak and cheese (pictured here) is one of the best I've ever had anywhere. They shave prime rib thin to make this on delicious and soft locally made that bread isn't dense at all. I've ordered from this place twice, and they've left items out both times. The first time, I didn't realize that I was missing two side salads until I got home, and it wasn't worth my time or gas money to go back. The second time, I pointed out the omission (different scenario) and they argued that we were using the wrong establishment's menu. The only reason for 2 Start was the waitress who was alone and took great pride it serving everyone. Hands down the worse pizza we ever had we ordered a cheese pizza well done. It took 45 minutes which was fine with us as we were enjoying some good cocktails. When the so called pizza came out it was not well done and cold!! How is this possible after waiting 45min? Absolutely gross!! Poor service. Chunky BBQ sauce that tasted nothing like bbq sauce. Baked beans that were sour and chicken fingers and sweet potato fries that were burnt to a crisp. Rude waitress. We were sent to TJs by a Nursery nearby for breakfast. The Pizzeria part threw us off a little bit. Don't be dissuaded - they have real breakfast. I ordered the eggs with biscuits & sausage gravy and my husband ordered the country breakfast, which included Hashbrowns, and sausage, along with eggs, biscuits and gravy. I thought biscuits and gravy was a southern thing. I didn't know they could make it here in Maine. First, the gravy was a cream gravy, full of sausage bits and chunks, with deep sausage flavor. Perfectly seasoned, salty and peppery, this was an excellent sausage gravy. But, THE BISCUIT! THE BISCUIT! Homemade from a local bakery right in town, the biscuit was absolutely incredible. Fluffy, tender, yet a little moist, slightly sweet and salty, it was perfect. The perfect biscuit. The biscuits and gravy were a most gratifying experience. The service was attentive and friendly. The only drawback, which was minor, was that my eggs were a little overdone. My husband sincerely appreciated the display of military heroes on the wall of the restaurant with photos and medals. T.J.s is a local hangout with the type of food you'd expect at a mid-range local eatery. The staff is consistently friendly, and seem happy to be working there. We used to go for breakfast a lot, but it seemed that the portions kept shrinking, so we don't go very often anymore. And my favorite is the homemade corned beef hash, but you have to get there quite early, before they run out. Wing night specials include more flavors of varying heat than you can shake a stick at. The fries are excellent - my go-to dinner is the fish and chips, which are usually fresh and crispy. My husband usually orders the cheesesteak or cheeseburger sub - LOTS of bread so be prepared. I've never had the pizza, and there are no gluten free items on the menu, unless you want salad. There's always a beautiful dessert on the counter as well! read more

Stopped here on our way to Monmouth theatre. Staff is pleasant and attentive and service is quick. I ordered the fish and chips and was perfectly satisfied. My sister had the fish sandwich which also was fine. Cole slaw was so so and maybe needed some celery seed! The variety of pizza offerings looked interesting. Theres not much for non meat eaters, however. This clearly is a place where locals gather so it has a home town flavor. If in the neighborhood stop in! read more

The staff were friendly despite the full house. The pulled pork pizza was delicious and flavorful and topped with cole slaw. The crust was delightful thin but not too crunchy. They had an excellent selection of sandwhiches appetizers and pizza. This is worth the little drive out of town. Always a favorite! We all love TJ's. It's a small place with a very hometown feel. Their food is always super delicious, and they have a good selection of beer on tap. They have a great selection of foods too, from apps, sandwiches and salads to pizzas to homemade dinners. The waitstaff and owners are always friendly and caring, and they are quick to change/fix anything you could possibly have issues with. They also have entertainment at times including live bands. Based on the reviews, we ventured out. Showed up on a Sunday night--place was very busy with one waitress. ONE waitress. We waited for 15 minutes before getting service, waited another 10 for our beer--placed our order right away and waited..waited..waited. Two tables who came in after us got their food before us. We complained and learned the kitchen messed the order of the slips....ok. We did not get our food until an hour after showing up. Then they "forgot" one of the meals--they did cook it right away, but really?? I understand they were understaffed...but inexcusable that they lost our order and shorted us a meal.
