OMG!! We love this place!! Nice people and such AMAZING Pizza! We'll be back again and again and AGAIN!

I was born, raised and lived 57 years of my 62 years in Connecticut. I have been a Pepe's Apizza from New Haven guy since 1970 and although, Modern Apizza caught up to Pepe's in the past decade, nothing beats New Haven Apizza. As I've moved up to Aroostook County, Maine, ive had some of the worst pizza ive ever had up there so on a recent trip back from CT, I searched out "New Haven style pizza in Maine" and "Fire & Ice Maine popped up so I tried it today! The service and people working there could not be nicer and when they knew I was from Connecticut, we really got into the nuances of what makes it great. I actually met the owner on my way out and he could not be nicer, telling me all of the places he's been to and worked at in the New Haven pizza area of Wooster Street. So I got in my car and opened up the box and was pleasantly surprised to finally see a pizza even look like New Haven. After biting into it, it was addicting! No flop, an "8" on the undercarriage and cooked right on top! The sauce was very close and it was crispy too! The only thing off and this is REALLY being picky was the chewiness but again, this is really being picky! Overall, a 4.8 on a 5 star scale and THEE BEST NEW HAVEN APIZZA is. MAINE to date! I would drive 2 hours to get this pie! Great service, great pizza and the price was reasonable too! read more

Everybodys been saying I have to check this place out and they were not incorrect. This is mainly a take out place - theres only a few places to sit (3 or 4 tables)- and they do close a little early for dinner (6). Their pizza was SO good though- I grew up in CT and love pizza. I like a good classic new haven Cheese pie and this was IT. My husband got pepperoni and said it was spicy but it is pepperoni. WE got there at about 430 and it did take a while as they had so many pizzas to make but they have a few beers on tap and in cans if youre looking to eat in. We didn't get ice cream but a few people did and seemed to enjoy it. If youre in Windham, or even if youre not and just want a good pizza this should be on your radar. read more

I've visited this place a few times for just the pizza (not ice cream). Each pizza, the largest size available, can feed 2-3 people at most and are thin and crispy. In my opinion, they offer the best pizza in the Windham area compared to Pat's and Portland Pie Co, but be prepared to pay a lot more. During my last visit, the interior was extremely smoky due to ventilation issues? so I recommend getting it to go. Staff is friendly! read more

Pizza was very good though hear when they say they cook it to "well done." This does NOT mean burnt however! Tomato sauce was very tasty, toppings were fresh. Very thin crust so beware of that intention too if you prefer thicker or deep dish. I would order pizza from here again. The website is still a bit wonky with a menu that is hard to read and is listed as "current menu" but is dated January 2, 2025 which makes you uncertain that the menu listed is in fact "current". There is also an "order online" button, but it does not work, you need to call in your order. Very sparse seating if you want to eat there, space not particularly enticing, consider mostly as a take-out option. read more

I have been dying to get up to Windham to try Fire & Ice. Finally made it up last weekend. Super engaging fun crew working. Ordered a pep no extra char. So so good! "South shore bar pizza"....as if. Pizza is overcooked, and not in the good way. Posted on their facebook page a photo of the one pizza they sold the entire day (I wonder why) and when you disagree with it being compared to south shore pizza, you get blocked . They delete negative comments / reviews so don't let the 4 stars fool ya. Plenty of other restaurants to give your money too. read more

We are from the Midwest and have been looking for a Chicago tavern style pizza. Yours has come the closest to what we are used to and love it. We just found the place a month ago and I think we have ordered 5 times and we live in the Poland area. Keep up the great work. read more

Fire & Ice Maine - Sausage pepperoni and mushroom. - Pizza Near Me - Windham, Maine

We've ordered pizzas from Fire & Ice three times this summer - excellent every time. Normally we'll just grill our own pizzas in the summer and they are good, but the lure of stopping by and ordering a few pizzas while running errands in Windham is just too strong. We order the thin variety, regular char and we've had cheese, veggies and pepperoni. The pepperoni cups exactly as a good pizza pepperoni should, but my favorite is a green pepper and onion pizza. With the crisp crust and the veggies, the pizza feels light and delicious and very summer-y. This place can get slammed, definitely order ahead if you can. One time I stopped by, ordered, got quoted 25-30 minutes, went down to Hannaford's to shop and got back to Fire & Ice a few minutes early. While I was waiting (still just 30 minutes, they got me my pie on time), they were getting constant calls and pick up was stretching out to an hour. Glad they're doing well, love a real local business. read more

Pizza is pretty good, but even for a thin crust style it's a bit too much like a cracker. Would give 4 stars but the owner is constantly bickering with people online. Pretty much stopped going there after a couple of times because of that. read more

So we went on a Sunday adventure and we landed at Fire and Ice , a relatively new place in Windham.We came in just in time we ordered rolled ice cream choc for me and my wife had Strawberry the ice cream was AWESOME We had to wait 15 minutes so we ordered a 12" Pepperoni and a cheese!! The service is GREAT, the boss lady was so so nice and we watched it all getting made,the staff was awesome and they all are focused in their areas! We had the rolled ice cream- dangerous! It is so good, so filling, one has to take home the pizza for later. Service great, people congenial and inviting. Is this the best pizza in Maine? My family happened upon this little gem and had lunch here two days in a row as we loved it so much. The pizza is delicious and would be incredibly dangerous if we lived closer. Thin, perfectly sauced and topped, and so flavorful. If Dave Portnoy had visited on his trip to Maine, I'm not sure Monte's would have taken the top score in the state. Finally got to try this place for take out. Great pizza that's New Haven style. We got cheese, pepperoni, and sausage/peppers. All were great. Nice thin crust with a good char. So glad this place is here. The pepperonis were the perfect little cups of oil that they should be. read more

I love this place! Took a while for us to try their pizza but my-oh-my was it ever worth the wait. And the owners lovely and a real asset to the Windham dining scene. Super nice people and great food!! My only suggestion is that they offer (eventually, as they grow) an eat-in area. I'd love to stay and try their ice cream this summer. LH read more

The best pizza in the world is made in, of all places, New Haven, CT (I know I wouldn't have thought that either, until I had it). When I saw the listing of Fire & Ice Maine indicating New Haven style, I went there immediately (as, let's face it, pizza in Maine is mostly abysmal). I ordered the New Haven-style Meat pizza, which is Sausage, Pepperoni, Bacon, and Ham. All pizzas come with Char, but you can order extra char. The crust is very thin, the sauce was spot on and the meats were of a good quality. The crust ends have a coal char and are amazing. I really enjoyed the pizza, and I will be back more often than I should. Highly recommended! read more

Based on the reviews, I decided to get our dinner from Fire & Ice Maine. To begin with, Waze took me through roads that had no connection to the place, I sent them a trouble report. The store is rather small with no signage to find them. There's a few tables and chairs, that's ok, most people want take out. The menu was very limited, but had PIZZA, yeah. I was asked if I wanted it cooked crispy, I said yes, but it was slightly burnt. The pizza was so so so salty that we ate 2 pieces each (starving) and couldn't eat anymore, Salt was the overpowering taste. I normally don't drink with my meal, but had to down a ginger ale. I'm sorry to leave a bad review but for $27.00, I could have done a lot better than that! read more

As a CT pizza lover, after living in Maine for 5 years I gave up trying to find anything even close to home. Moved to Windham recently, and can honestly say Fire and Ice ranks top 5 pizzas i've ever had!!! So crispy and delicious, perfect amount of sauce and cheese. I hope they don't change things up!!! First time coming here and it was nice. It was a little tricky as we had to keep a look out for which building it was. They don't have a sign up front making it clear yet. Other than the word Pizza posted up front. There is a small parking lot and a narrow dining way you can sit in and eat. When you order, they ask you what kind of style (New Haven or Sicilian) you would like and what size (12in, 14in, 20in). Also how you would like it cooked (regular or charred). I honestly have no clue off the top of my head, what style is what. Kind of wish there was a breakdown somewhere between the differences. I asked for a 14in Bacon/Pineapple New Haven cooked regularly, which came out perfect. It was served straight from the oven, so I had to wait for a little bit to cool off. I was excited to eat it right away and everything was so hot it started sliding off. This place just opened up recently and know they're working hard to do their best. Tiny little hole in the wall building, with amazing Apizza!! Everything was delicious!! They make their own sauce and crust! Ohhhh the crust!!! Sooo thin, yet still crispy, and foldable...the sauce to crust ratio was perfection... Might be one of Windham's more discreet delicacies. Everyone working there were very kind and helpful, I can't wait to try the rolled ice cream and grab some more apizza! Is it more expensive than the chain restaurants in town? Yes, absolutely. Pizza Nazzi! Owner is arrogant and obnoxious. He needs to understand that when enough people say that his customer service is bad and his ordering process is terrible, something is wrong with his model. I think he just likes to argue and have the last word. When he sells out he acts like it is a major accomplishment. May be he needs to set his bar higher. read more

Where to begin. you really need to try some to realize how good this pizza is. The dough is great and cooked to perfection!! That sauce. Much different than most, and it has an amazing flavor. The cheese used is really good and bring it all together for an unbelievable Apizza. the char is the best!! People are great and you can see they love what they are doing. The only problem I have found with the pizza is I usually only have a slice or two left by the time I get home from the pickup. Highly recommend read more
