I wouldn't normally leave a review for Applebee's but had to make this for the amazing service we received. The manager was hostessing and apologized to us for our wait time (which was not long at all) and shared that they were unfortunately understaffed tonight. Despite the stress on the only servers there, our server Chelsea was incredibly wonderful. There was a very very small misunderstanding with our order and she went above and beyond to fix that for us. She was very attentive, kind, and had a wonderful attitude. I can also say the same for Malik who we spoke to and he had a great, upbeat attitude as well. Definitely will return based on our awesome experience! read more

Food was fine, nothing special but i appreciate the half price apps in the evenings and on some weekdays. The service was super slow for the restaurant being practically empty. I enjoyed our visit to the Windham Applebee's. Our server was very kind, courteous, and took our orders with no errors. I had the breaded shrimp, and when I asked for a small melted butter, she brought it right over with no problems at all. The food was good and hot. Mixed on this one. The drinks and appetizer - Buffalo wings were good. We ordered baby back ribs, which were over cooked. The fries were salty, steak was also very dry. Our waitress was oblivious to us. She brings the food over, doesn't bother to ask us if we needed anything. I needed a spoon for the applesauce and A1 sauce for the steak. Finally got her attention. One of my favorite places to eat. We eat at the Windham one almost every Friday night. This last Friday night was a little different. Ordered grilled chicken with a stuffed pasta dish. The stuffed pasta was rubbery which can happen. She offered to replace with something else, but I declined. The chicken was enough and delicious. The manager came over and insisted making it right. I got alfredo fettuccine to go. He came back with a dinner serving instead of a side and a dessert of my choice and comped my meal. I was so impressed. Very good grilled chicken Caesar salad. My wife enjoyed her chicken fajita roll up. I was impressed by customer service. When the manager asked if we were happy, I mentioned placement of hanging advertisements were blocking the Patriots game. Don't get me wrong, I swear by this Applebee's. Always friendly staff and usually short wait times. However, things are usually missing from to go orders. Clearly printed on my receipt was an appetizer of spinach and artichoke dip. I work in the food service as well and we always double check and make sure that all of the items are there. It seems like this Applebee's doesn't care about getting to go orders correct considering they're not in person serving. I just wish they were more cautious so I don't have to waste my time traveling back and forth. read more

Applebee's is consistently the same wherever you go. The neighborhood restaurant is now revamping for the younger clientele. The new nachos are ok but the regular menu is still available. The service was decent, the prices were ok, the food....well, we both had a salad. Different types, one of us had the southwestern salad with balsamic instead of the cilantro dressing. It cam with a small portion of steak that had a cilantro rub on it. Well, I didn't want the cilantro dressing so I definitely didn't want cilantro on my meat. Easily wiped off. Eating in is usually fine but id highly advise not getting carside to go. There are only two parking spots for the carside to go service and they are always taken up by dine in customers. Therefore you have to park far away and walk into the store to let them know you are there which in turn defeats the purpose of "carside" to go. Also the food definitely doesnt taste as good to go. Went to Applebee's tonight with another couple for date night. We made a really bad choice for going here! All the food was over cooked only one meal was good. Waitress was very slow but was not busy. She was off talking at the bar not paying any attention to her tables. Took forever to get sauce, refills And boxes. We have always enjoyed meeting our kids here on weekend visits to Maine! Food is good, and all of the younger servers are great! Only complaint; the A/C is always working overtime, like they're cooling the place to make sure the always moving employees are comfy, and not the paying customers that are sitting still and shivering trying to enjoy their meals. Went to Applebee's with my husband late yesterday afternoon for an early dinner. And I just should have know. We went a few weeks ago and at that time I order the shrimp and steak parm cheese. The green beans came out and were clearly old and had been reheated a few times. I didn't eat them. The mash potatoes were watery and runny so basically I ate the shrimp and steak and a little of the potatoes. They took $5.00 off my meal which was okay but I went there to eat and didn't leave full. And I should have known after that experience but we went back! This time I ordered a burger and fries. Wasn't going to have a vegetable with potatoes again. Ordered the burger WELL done. It took awhile to get the food but I did order my burger WELL done. The middle of the burger was pink. I ate around the pink as best I could. I even ate the onion rings which came with the burger. I don't really like onion rings but I was hungry. Isn't that why you got to a restaurant is you're hungry??? EACH time we have gone to Applebee's we have spent over $50.00. And each time the meal is crap!! Doesn't anyone in the kitchen care how the food is prepared and sent out to the customer??? Guess I know the answer. I WON'T be going back. The wait staff was friendly and timely. Heres where the problem is for me: I shit my guts out....in my pants....on the ride home. I literally filled my jeans with liquid shit.
