I had their burger that came with brisket, the bacon Mac n cheese was tasty too. Prices definitely match the food quality and the service was good. We opted to sit in the bar area and if I had a smaller group I recommend sitting at the bar, it was rather loud with the speakers and other parties so dining room is probably a better option if you want to enjoy good conversations.

We've driven a bazillion times by Deck House Tavern, and every time we say, "Look at that spot! The…read moreview must be amazing. Let's go one day!" Well, we finally made it happen, and we loved it! I seriously can't wait to go back. Located in Windham and next to a go-kart + mini-golfing spot, odds are you've also driven by this restaurant. The views from the deck are spectacular, and I can't wait to go back during the fall foliage season. The indoor space is also lovely -- it feels like a giant cabin! We loved the vibe: it's cozy, lowkey, and casual, which is precisely what we were looking for. The service was excellent from the minute we walked inside. The hostess was accommodating when we asked to sit at a different table (better views!), and our waitress was kind and constantly checking on us. The menu was more extensive than we expected. They have it all -- an impressive starters section, plenty of pub/tavern food, and even dinner plates. They also had a full cocktail menu (all reasonably priced), plenty of local beers, and wines. We had the strawberry margarita with jalapeño-infused tequila ($10), and it was delicious (albeit a bit small for a marg, but it was also only ten bucks). Our burgers ($18) were great, but unfortunately, a bit overcooked. The fries were just okay, nothing to write home about, and portion-wise, smaller than what we expected. We also ordered their four-cheese macaroni as a starter, and that was delicious! Overall, however, we enjoyed our time and can't wait to return!

I will also say knowing this is a sports bar like spot I didn't have the highest expectations to begin with. Which I appreciate when a spot surprises me and blows those expectations out of the water. That did not occur here! It was our second choice for dinner tonight due to our first spot having a wait. So firstly for a positive I will say Deck House does have ample parking and lots of space for people to eat so that's a plus. Also if you are looking for a classic sports bar vibes with many tvs on the walls and plenty of bar seats this may be your spot to catch a game with friends. Overall for our experience service was slow, they were friendly it just took a long time for food and other tables received their food much faster after shorter waits. My wife got the Braised Beef Short Rib and it was cooked well and was extremely tender, she enjoyed it very much. I got the Lobster Mac which was good but much smaller than I expected and some lobster pieces were tough due to their large size. Our meals and then two margaritas which were decent were almost $100. We did get some of the more expensive meals off the menu but I do believe for the price we could get better food elsewhere. I'm glad we tried it but nothing would be worth revisiting for. Hopefully if you visit you have a better experience!

We had a really BAD service experience and here's why: ever since we got inside and sat down, our waitress was NOT attentive to our needs while we were in your establishment. My mom asked for lemon with her water, and she NEVER got it at all, we waited like 30mins for a simple lemon so i had to give her my lemon! We did the 3-course meal which we do almost every time and the waitress didn't tell us what the choices were like at all! She didn't check on us, tell us why our meal wasn't coming out but she brought EVERYONE else's food in front/round/behind us or ask if we/i wanted a refill on my mango iced tea! we ordered our meal like 5:45 and waited till like 6:10 and it felt way longer than that cause I saw our waitress bringing everyone's food like i said above. we had to ask a manger for our meal and all we got was " we're backed up", like seriously? You're backed up but our waitress can deliver everyone else food and NOT ours?! The manager didn't even comp our meals for the service at all. My mom and I just wanted a really good service and good meal, but we weren't given that at ALL! I didn't get to eat my meal as i was hoping to and mom had one of her tacos and didn't finish since we had BAD service! Before we left and my mom was given the check, our waitress finally came and apologized but she showed lack of customer service! She would've gotten a tip if she was more attentive to our needs. Every time she was delivering everyone else's meals and not ours, i kept feeling like we were invisible. Mom also had to the bar since we were sitting next to it and we were being ignored the whole time by our waitress to take mom's money and the women at the bar said she couldn't help my mom so mom said " well, someone needs to take my money!" and the manager on duty had to bring our orders, anything we wanted to our table and had to cash us out! My mom as a veteran shouldn't had to be treated like this like AT ALL!

No wait when we arrived but a large amount of parties waiting inside and out when we left. The ambiance/vibes are basically what you'd expect from a chain steakhouse, nothing to wow you but nice enough. I got their Buttermilk Fired Chicken Sandwich and it was good, but think I would choose something else next time. The fries were nothing special honestly. My wife went with their French Onion Soup and a Loaded Baked Potato. She really enjoyed the baked potato but did think the soup was more cold than hot. The taste of the soup was enjoyable though!

This caused some frustration among staff, and perhaps the few other patrons. One table next to us had two very unruly children and one teenager who was like us, quiet and polite and simply trying to get through the experience. Had it been any of the four of us adults we'd have taken our food to go to get those kids out of there. Sadly, management didn't suggest they leave. We nearly had one of our three children melt down because she's sensitive to those situations. As I said, six of our seven meals were good, but it was Father's Day and the one dad in our group didn't care for mustard BBQ. We paid for it and got a different style to take home, but that ended up being a disappointment too (too much garlic to suit his taste). Again, our server did the best she could given the circumstances, but we were only in town for a few days and can't commit to trying them again.

The biggest surprise was being charged $18 for bread and butter without being told there was a charge. Seriously--$18 for bread and butter should absolutely be communicated beforehand. This felt like robbery. Service also needs improvement. Our water and wine glasses sat empty for much of the meal, and the attentiveness just wasn't there. At a steakhouse at this price point, keeping drinks filled and checking on the table should be a given. Overall, good food, but the service and surprise charges really took away from the experience.
