I never finish my ice cream. But I finished my sundae today. I had a hot fudge sundae, with pumpkin ice cream. A+

They LOVE going for ice cream anywhere, but this is one of the best locations!

This is such a great place to get ice cream! They are seasonal, like most in the area are, but during the peak of the season, they are open 11am to 11pm! There are obviously peak times for business, especially when camp counselors get a chance to get away! Or families are headed home from boating or a beach day. With so many summer rentals nearby, it's the perfect after dinner activity. We went twice in a matter of 5 days. The first time was late evening 9:30ish and it had a line of about 7 ahead of us. That's not bad. I've seen it MUCH longer! They are quite efficient at keeping the line moving smoothly though... hopefully it's not tooo crazy hot and humid, nor a mosquito laden night, though! There is plenty of outside seating, ...in the shade or sun, (depending upon the time of day!) They also have a screened in area with a few tables and chairs. I love the character and colors of the place... it's always keep neat and tidy, but feels awesomely campy! My go to flavor is Red Raspberry Revolution, but they have sooo many choices!

Every single time. Take it from a bona fide ice cream connoisseur. My favorite offerings are Needham, Coffee Oreo, Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup, Pistachio and Indian Pudding (molasses) to name a few. The servings are huge and the prices are great. The help is friendly and enthusiastic and was as equally excited about their Easter opening date this year as I was (not as easy feat!). In addition to hard serve ice cream, there is a staggering multitude of soft serve flavors. You can get floats, milkshakes, Sundays, Italian ice and more. The last day of the year depends upon weather I suppose. Columbus Day or before as I recall. And though sad day, the fact that you can get half-price pints and quarts does make me a bit happier. And wish that I had a deep freezer to stock up carry me through the winter.

There was two people in our group, the dairy ice cream came out within minutes while I stood and waited as the rest of the line (10+ people) all received their various ice creams. No one else's order wrong. One lady who ordered after us even mentioned I had not received mine as she was getting hers, I had to go up to the window a second time after 5+ mins had passed (on top of the 10 I had spent waiting AFTER the other person in my party got their ice cream, 15 mins total by that point) and no one had updated me or brought my order. They finally told me they were "working on it sorry" and it came out multiple mins later, wrong size and not in a cone like I ordered. It's nice to see inclusivity with non dairy but maybe should be more upfront about how long you'll be waiting for it ...

The concept…read moresounded so unique, and a flight of ice cream is basically my dream way to eat ice cream--I always struggle to choose just one flavor. The shop makes tiny-batch ice cream from scratch up in the White Mountains, and it shows in the quality. I went for the egg-carton flight, which came with six flavors: Slopeside Mint Chip, Trillium Coffee, Single Origin Chocolate, Honeycomb, Mount Cabot Maple, and one more I can't quite remember. Each scoop had its own personality--bright mint, bold coffee, rich chocolate, and the maple and honeycomb were especially standout. The space itself is a fun little spot, perfect for a hot day. Portions aren't huge, which I actually liked because it felt more like a treat or snack rather than an overload. My only gripe is that the flavors aren't labeled on the carton, so it can be a bit of a guessing game figuring out what you're tasting. Overall though, between the creativity, the locally inspired flavors, and the chance to try a bunch at once, it's absolutely worth the stop if you're in the area.

My favorite regular flavor is Cheesecake w/ Raspberry & Graham Crust, but I'm also crazy about the vegan Coffee w/ Chocolate Cookie Crumble + Caramel Swirl. I like to boat over and have ice cream at lunch time on the weekdays, so hopefully at least one of those will come on the rotation before I head home! They used to have an option where you could get your ice cream on a brioche--it would be cool to see that return someday. Creative, delicious flavors, creamy texture, and tons of vegan options. I had a scoop of their signature Honey Bee and a scoop of Cherry Pie (vegan). Both were amazing. I ordered it on a sugar cone and was told no--they only serve two scoops on a cake cone so I got a dish, which used to come with a little pizzelle, but doesn't anymore. These were just the start of the "NOs" at Bresca and The Honey Bee. This place is *loaded* with signs telling you "NO"! A lot of it is what you would expect: NO smoking, NO vaping, NO open flames, NO going to the beach without paying, and also NO using the paddle boats without paying. Some of it is appears to be in response to specific, and infrequent bad behavior: NO throwing rocks, NO feeding the ducks, NO pushing on the dock, NO jumping off the slide, various rules about diapers on babies, NO unaccompanied children under 16? (this is an ice cream shack and swimming hole?), etc. Either way, the visual bombardment of the posted "NO -----" signs makes this place seem like they've missed the mark in creating a welcoming place people go to have fun and enjoy delicious ice cream. The signs with dozens and dozens of "NO" messages makes the place seem hostile. Despite feeling like we might somehow slip up and they might kick us out or call the cops, we did enjoy our ice cream and then upon throwing the cup out, were confronted with a "small trash only--NO pizza boxes" sign on the trash. What the heck?!

As I've moved up to Aroostook County, Maine, ive had some of the worst pizza ive ever had up there so on a recent trip back from CT, I searched out "New Haven style pizza in Maine" and "Fire & Ice Maine popped up so I tried it today! The service and people working there could not be nicer and when they knew I was from Connecticut, we really got into the nuances of what makes it great. I actually met the owner on my way out and he could not be nicer, telling me all of the places he's been to and worked at in the New Haven pizza area of Wooster Street. So I got in my car and opened up the box and was pleasantly surprised to finally see a pizza even look like New Haven. After biting into it, it was addicting! No flop, an "8" on the undercarriage and cooked right on top! The sauce was very close and it was crispy too! The only thing off and this is REALLY being picky was the chewiness but again, this is really being picky! Overall, a 4.8 on a 5 star scale and THEE BEST NEW HAVEN APIZZA is. MAINE to date!
