Creamy Garlic Spinach Ravioli + blackened chicken 10/10 A+
    Anita W.

Friendly service, cool atmosphere, delicious food. The fried cheese curds w/boom-boom sauce were fabulous! The mango habanero bone-in wings were perfectly crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. Flavorful but lacked any heat (no habanero kick) The Garlic Spinach Ravioli w/the addition of Cajun blackened chicken was fantastic - creamy & flavorful. Overall great spot for some solidly yummy food.

Steak with potato and coleslaw 10/10 med rare

Rylie (spelling sorry) was our server for a girls night out and did such a wonderful job. Attentive, kind, great attitude. I got a margarita(delicious), wings, and steak medium rare (I wish there were mashed potatoes) it was cooked to perfection and the wings are the best I've had in town in a while perfect amount of crisp and sauce. Our table shared cheese curds etc. The music was fitting for the time of day. Will be back!

Pulled pork Mac n cheese. This was me trying to find the buried pork.

This is the third and last time I'll be dining here. The first meal was really good soon after they opened. Not so true anymore. I left feeling as though I'd just flushed $100 down the toilet after ordering three sodas, baked potato skins and 3 entrees. First off the potato skins were literally 2.5 small potatoes cut in half for $14.99! Since there were three of us we had to cut those in half too. Very expensive and underwhelming. Then came the entrees. A steak sub with fries, chicken Alfredo pasta and mac n cheese with pulled pork. The steak had a chemical taste and my companion could only eat a few bites. The chicken Alfredo had a couple hunks of chicken and then my daughter found a hair. The last entree looked and tasted horrible. Pulled pork buried in an orange sea of cheesy goo. The plate was so off putting and the dish was so heavy. I could barely find the pork amongst the mess of pasta. When I did it wasn't worth the effort. The waitress never checked on us due to being busy and instead sent a manager to clear our still very full plates either not a word-didn't even ask if we'd like it packed up. If that isn't telling not sure what is. It ended up being an $80 bill for $20 worth of food. With tip it was a hundred. It's just so discouraging to take out a family only to have the food suck and your wallet emptied. Never again.

    Cowboy Ribeye and Crab Rangoon

Great tavern with some good draft beer choices and some unique cocktails to boot. I sat at the bar and received friendly and prompt service, taking advantage of their beer flight on special for Tuesdays (pictured). With the exception of some kids that were hanging a rough evening it wasn't loud at all and I was able to communicate with the bartender and those around me easily. I could have used my appetizer earlier with the drinks but it came with the entree but both were delicious (pictured - crab Rangoon and cowboy ribeye). Overall I was very happy and look forward to coming back for some of their other weekly specials!

A nice loud, comfy little place in the heart of Waterville. Not too many places were open after 8pm on a Monday - thanking the pandemic and its wake for this one - but we waited a reasonable amount of time to be seated. Our server was friendly and attentive. The menu boasted pub fare, with a couple of nice personal touches, including fried cheese curds, Braised mussles, and other past and sandwich creations. Once ordered, our food came out hot, fresh and yummy. We'd definitely go back!

I suspect The Villager would get a higher rating from me for a lunch meal, as I can be a tougher rater for breakfast. I cook some pretty good eggs and breakfast wraps, and my wife excels with several types of pancakes, etc., so it is hard for me to find something new and different on breakfast menus. We both had the skillet breakfast: she with fried eggs and bacon and me with scrambled eggs and sausage. It was not memorable. The home fries weren't browned enough for me and the only thing that was close to hot were the eggs, suggesting the meal had waited for them to be done. I don't think the sausage were brown and serve, but they were cut up in the dish and not noticeable. The Texas toast was cold. I would have preferred biscuits but I saw no sign of any. The coffee was fine and the service, all done by one busy lady with the owner helping out, was great. She was witty and humorously wiseass to her regulars. I will go back for lunch the next time the siren call of yarn and patterns strikes my wife, and will adjust my rating here if the lunch offerings impress me more, as I expect it will. Like I said, it is breakfast vs me usually, and I suspect you will think I have under valued it. If you like old fashioned family dining, run, Don walk, to this place.

Location - Great thing about their location is there are plenty of places to kill time while waiting for your table - local shops or Waterville Creates. We were there on a Saturday and we arrived around 2:30 for an late lunch/early dinner. To our surprise, there was a 25 minute wait! It's a popular family restaurant as well. It's a lot bigger inside than it seems from the outside. When you walk in, there are mostly high tables and a long bar with seating. Walk past the bar and on the right is a dining area with a lot more tables. We had 2 kids and 4 adults and we had plenty of room at a center table. There were booths along the wall. Our server was so great. So patient, and kind. She was great. She checked in regularly, our drinks never went dry. The food was excellent. We had the food for take out during the pandemic and thought it was ok. Having it in the restaurant - HUGE difference. I got the cheese curd burger without the top bun. My nephew loved his chicken wings, my niece loved her mac and cheese. We all loved our burgers and my bro-in-law liked his reuben. I loved the fries, they seemed more the "chips" from the UK - which I loved. Parking - street or on the concourse below Main Street. We will definitely be back.
