I order takeout from here often, and the turkey club is by far my favorite! Definitely one of the best in town. The staff is always friendly whenever I stop by, which makes the experience even better. Highly recommend!

Lunch Bartender - Val is the best! She makes the whole bar experience wonderful. Gary's Pastrami sandwich is great. The bar area is large and room to sit or stand for conversations. Live Music is amazing on Saturday Nights.

We stopped here for dinner after exploring Bangor and Freeport. Great atmosphere! The food was amazing. Drinks were well priced and well made. Our server was attentive and helpful. And super nice :) The sweet potato fries are amazing, as well as the brisket sandwich. Can't wait to eat here again!

    Best seat at the bar.

Dropped in bc it was the only thing open. They stayed open later for us and even told us we had less than 5 min to order pizza. Ryan was a great bartender! Don't knock the mashed potato pizza. Sounded awful but MAN!! Delicious!!! Also got pepperoni/sausage pizza. Ryan's sausage was AMAZING! (you see what I did there?) Great little local bar with yummy food, lots of of drink choices and kick ass conversations. Hope to go back during our quick trip to Maine!

Clearly a popular, local spot judging by the crowds but equally welcoming to out of townahs like us. Stayed at a local bed and breakfast whilst hiking Sebago Lakes. During COVID, it was one of the few places open for dinner. Quickly seated - and warm, hearty food delivered quickly - exactly what you want after a hike / long day of travel! No 2 hour Portland waits. Ordered the clam chowder which had large chunks of clam and potatoes - super filling. Ordered the scallop w Ritz crackers, veggies and mashed potatoes. Super filling! The boy got the meat lovers pizza. Left ready to sleep well. Would come back/recommend.

Yah know I love Gary's. Their outside area is wonderful, and their staff is always more than kind, but I have to update one thing which was once near and dear to my heart - the lobster roll. Went back to Gary's for another round of lobster rolls as I hadn't had one this summer this past weekend. It had gone up a few dollars in price - but I get it, supply and demand. I was sad to see that the lobster in the roll has decreased a fairly large amount in quality. The meat didn't appear nearly as fresh and it probably had only half of the meat that I had gotten in the previous year. I don't think I'd pay for the roll again in the future which is a bummer cause I do love the environment here. Side note my dad got their clam chowder as they were out of their mussels (which are great) and expressed it was a meh (we'll call it 6 out of 10). He said there was a spice in it that took away from the clammy flavor that he enjoys as part of the chowdahhh.

Service was great. The lobster bisque was horrible. The worst I ever had. 2 beers were $29! Will not be back.

Great food service and atmosphere. 10/10, recommend the nachos and Thursdays karaoke night.

Terrible service, incredibly rude to servers. Do not risk coming here if you're from out of town, they make it very clear we're not welcome.

Beer purists may find the brews to be average, but I'm more than happy with the variety of beers offered and satisfied with the ones I tried, especially the Peanut Butter Milk Stout, There is also hard seltzer ("hard water") that can be flavored with any of the Italian soda flavors, a hard tea, and hosted cider, all gluten free, as well as mixed drinks. No question there is something for everyone. So happy to have more food items to choose from to go with the beers. A nice assortment of options at a reasonable price point. I had a Rueben panini with kettle chips, which was satisfying. My friend has the Birchwood Signature Soft Pretzel that is made with spent grain from the beer production and served with warm beer cheese, which also was decent. A standout was the server - Ella Q - she was super helpful at explaining the menu, flights, and was so pleasant! Knew just when to check in, and when to give us space. Bottom line - a solid local option for food & beer with great service on this particular evening, and live music on some nights. Grab your friends, have a flight or a pint, some food, and be happy that this option is available in Gray.
