    Mediterranean Haddock

Celebrated my friend's birthday here with two other friends. So happy we had Tania for our server - she really made the event sparkle! Restaurant is recently opened and although not everything we would have wished to consume was available, our choices were more than adequate. The birthday girl ordered the veal parmesan and said it was fabulous! Two other diners enjoyed the chicken parmesan and I was quite pleased with the Mediterranean Haddock. Birthday girl got a pistachio cannoli to go, and there was no room left to consume another bite! Our leftovers were enjoyed the next day, with fond memories of our server Tania doing everything to please. Looking forward to going back on my next trip to Maine and enjoy their expanded offerings!

The service tonight at Chianti was spectacular, we sat at the bar and the bartender was so sweet and attentive. She recommended the Mozzarella Milanese and it did not disappoint! We ordered two limoncello spritz as a cocktail and they were delicious. The main course my husband ordered the bolognese and I had the rigatoni ala vodka. The pasta was cooked an absolutely perfect Al dente it brought us back to Italy. The sauces on both dishes were outstanding. It was so authentic, so fresh, and so delicious. We were in Italy a little under a year ago and haven't come close to finding Italian food outside of Rinos in East Boston as good as this! We can't wait to return hopefully before the season ends!

The food is delicious with large portions. Wait staff is polite and friendly. It's a little cramped when it's busy, but worth it.

It was my birthday, and so we picked Nonna's as our dear friend Kathy is 2nd generation Italian! We had a reservation, and were welcomed I out of the raw, cold evening and immediately seated. I didn't catch our waitstaff's name ( sorry‍), but she was young, professional, engaging, and funny!!! And just attentive enough without being intrusive The amazing owner, Ellen, came to take our drink orders ( to help out her staff), treating us as if we were family , and sitting at HER personal dining room table! Ellen is so warm and welcoming and makes a point of coming to chat at every single table to make sure everyone is happy and often just to say hi! The food was sensational- I asked for a sauce that my husband had had the last time we were there - a "southwestern vodka sauce", which I had over 4 cheese ravioli- that the Chef, Miguel, made deliciously!!!! All of us were happily devouring our dinners And then the entire staff surrounded our table and sang Happy Birthday to me- in Italian!!!!! And the entire dining room ( about 12 people in the front DR- not sure if the rear DR was full/singing...) joined in ( in English)!!!!!! SO much fun . And the complimentary Tarimisou ( sp) was delicious I would highly, highly recommend Nonna's kitchen for local, NorthCountry NH, delicious, authentic Italian food!!! My husband loved the chicken pasta. And the rum cake was soooo delicious. Next time you're in the area, check it out!

The flavor was exceptional and I savored every bite. For my main I got their gnocchi dish. These were by far the lightest most fluffy gnocchi I have ever experienced. Service: All of their wait staff was exceptional. They were courteous and went the extra mile to make dinner a fine dining experience. The only weak point was their hostess. I had a reservation but still had to wait ~15 minutes for a table after waiting ~5 minutes for the hostess to show up in the first place. Once the hostess was working again she regularly brushed past customers waiting in their overfilled waiting area and glared at people in her way. I understand her frustration but that is not an excuse to glare at customers. Ambiance: The waiting area was cramped but once we were seated the tables were spaced out enough that it didn't feel congested. There were lots of little nooks and crannies so each table had their own little area.

His bolognese has been my standard for decades. Once upon a time, he had the best salad dressing I'd ever had. It has changed a bit with time but still pretty incredible. The staff is not quite what it used to be - possibly due to times changing, or possibly due to my being a bit older and more cranky - but the food is always outstanding.

Seating is a little tight at these tables. There are booths and lower tables but you need to take what's available if you want to eat here. Believe me, you do want to eat here! We were served delicious Italian bread with delicious garlic, balsamic, cheese & rosemary dipping sauce. We were then served with salads with their own dressing. It was really good. We ordered toasted ravioli in a marinara sauce and two baseball sized meatballs. Both delicious. Then my honey got veal parmigiana, I got Chicken, Broccoli and Ziti in a white cheese sauce, and my sister got Chicken Marsala. We were very impressed with the portions and taste of all of these dishes. It was surprising to find such fine dining down a side street in North Conway near Zebs Country store. There is plenty of parking, a full bar, plenty of wines to choose from and handicap accessible. We rated this a 10 out of 10. We didn't have dessert as it was me and my twins Birthday. But, they sure looked delicious. Next time, and there will be a next time, I will try a dessert.

Via Vecchia was definitely worth the wait, and this was one of the most surprising restaurants during our trip. We ordered the brussel sprouts, grilled octopus, campanelle, and radiatori. The brussel sprouts was the one dish that I was most hesitant about, seeing that it was paired with a blueberry agrodolce. Not a typical combination, but this ended up being a favorite. The sweetness & tartness of the sauce worked SO well with the sprouts - it's an excellent dish. The octopus had the perfect char, and all of the flavor pairings were really cohesive. I had never heard of either of the pastas, but I loved the textures of both. The campanelle with nduja cream was delicious, but did get to be a little heavy about halfway through. Radiatori with bolognese was a classic but well executed dish. Service is attentive without being overbearing. Prices are super reasonable.
