I love a good sauce (or gravy if you're so inclined) so we tried all the right stuff for my taste buds a buds: My girlfriend and I shared the Arancini (light, airy, delicious) and the meatballs (pork filled bliss in a flavorful sauce-seasoned to perfection!). By this point, we were already so satiated I could have left a happy camper. Seriously. For entrees I got the Spicy Ragu di Salsiccia, which is a very tasty Orecchiette pasta in a spicy red sauce that I loved. My girlfriend though, let me try her chicken parm that was arguably the best chicken Parmesian ever created!!! When I mentioned it to my server, she said it was a Gluten Free Panko and we are both still talking about it an hour or two later. I am seriously considering going back to get it for lunch tomorrow!!! We finished off the meal with vanilla bean gelato. She got it with some rich fudge cake thing that was great! Needless to say, we were blown away throughout the meal-every bite was excellent, and for us, that would be enough...but service was at least as good as the food!!! It was a large chunk of extremely tender meat with some absolutely delicious mashed potatoes. The gravy was pretty solid for it though I would have preferred it with a little more beefy flavor than maybe the wine. The carrots were a little disappointing, if I'm being honest. They were cut into vastly different sizes, which led to some majorly uneven cooking and even the smallest pieces were still much too firm - not crunchy but not really tender beyond the first quarter inch or so. It was almost like the were par cooked whole and then chopped up after. Definitely atypical and not really up my alley for carrots. Overall, aside from a couple very minor misses, this place was absolutely a winner and I'm absolutely getting some brick oven pizza next time!
