I saw this spot thanks to a fellow Yelper and their picture of a maple frappe and I had to check it out!!! I was blown away by the hospitality, the flavors, the price - everything!!! This place is touted as being the "working man's marina" and it really is - if you have a boat and come here often, you can create an account so that you don't have to carry cash or a card with you! How helpful is that!!? All of the baked goods are made by Judy and her biscuits are heavenly!!! I got the lobster biscuit and they asked if I wanted cheese and I was confused but GET THE CHEESE it will help make the sandwich melt in your mouth. The lobster is cooked into the egg and the cheese helps bind it and make it a little more savory. They have a candy area and while it's not a penny candy station (inflation) it's still fun to fill up a little bag of tootsie rolls and Swedish fish!!! And did I mention the ice creams and frappes?!? I didn't take a picture of my frappe because one sip in and it was half gone - that's how delicious it is!!! Their ice creams and milks are al locally produced and they are all tasty galore!!! Ok, I admit I pretty much only get ice cream when I come here. It is a short drive from my home so it is a great spot to come admire the views and have a cone on a warm and sunny day. The owners and their young staff are super friendly and the prices are very reasonable. The other food looks fantastic as well. For those people who have more money than me, they have a full service marina and mooring field for access to Casco Bay. For now, I am happy to eat ice cream and enjoy the scenery. read more

What an adorable little sandwich / sweet shop this is! I kayaked over from Birch Island one afternoon. A warm friendly, smiling staff greets you when you walk in. Good selection of goodies from sandwiches to candy and ice cream. They have a little gift shop too. I only had a small ice cream - Maine blueberry but Holy Moly was it yummy! So creamy and fresh with lots of blueberries in every bite. If I could have paddled away with a pint and not have it melt, I would have! The other thing that really stood out to me were the caramels on the counter. I purchased 4 and now wish I bought the entire jar! OMG- they were soft, rich and you could taste the sea salt. I wish I saved the wrapper so I could order some. I'm guessing they're made locally because they were sold by the piece. Someone please go there and tell me the brand so I can order more to NYC! Definitely go check it out. There's seating with a great view and a dock to tie up on if you take a boat. read more

I have been coming to Paul's Marina for many years. Been in the restaurant business for 25 years so I know good food when I find it. The sandwiches have always been great, however, yesterday I saw that they had a breakfast sandwich: egg, cheese and bacon on a homemade biscuit, I had to have one! It was the BEST breakfast sandwich I have ever had. Delicious egg, melted cheese, good bacon and a warm and perfect homemade biscuit. Going to have another one today. Oh, and by the way they sell penny candy! I watched two families teach their kids early accounting and negotiating skills. It was adorable. read more

Besides the small monsoon that came in while we were here, this was a fantastic experience. Lobster rolls to die for, delicious crab, and a solid selection of beverages to pair up. Nice to grab and go, or take a seat at the window bar and watch the boats (or storms) come in. Super friendly staff and a nice little pooch that I'm sure enjoyed being chased around by our toddler while we were hunkered down waiting out the weather. What a combination. A great AirBnB right on the water and luckily a mile from Paul's. Our lunch was a large heaping lobster roll and the Italian which my wife and I split. This is Maine surf and turf at it's finest. Fresh lobster, friendly hosts and a lovely Maine marina to gaze at. At 6PM we went back, went down to the docks with the host and picked out two large lobsters right out of their in-water tank and took them back to boil them up ourselves. The place is a small hole in the wall that makes you feel like you're back 30 years ago in a tiny seaside town.
