Stuffed Sopapillas - shredded beef I took a few bites so you can see the filling.

We had such a delicious meal!! Everything was very flavorful, and prepared well. The service was super friendly and attentive. The salsas, chilis, and other sauces were very good. The relleno bites were something I hadn't had before, and very good. The server explained to me it's New Mexican (not Mexica) food, so they don't have some of the traditional favorites and agua frescas, but there are plenty of tasty familiar dishes and dishes to be tried on the menu. There's plenty of seating, both inside and out.

This place was recommended to us a couple years ago and now we're addicted. The food is amazing! I highly recommend the rellenos appetizer. The space is pretty small and the ceiling are short just FYI. They have a waiting area upstairs and outdoor seating. The staff is so nice and service is great too.

We came in here on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. As a reviewer, I'm always trying to find something new to try. The reviews were good so we took a chance. Upon entry, I liked the vibe. I wish we'd sat on the patio on such a nice day but we were seated in the dinning area. Our server was not attentive, seemed rushed (even though it was around 2pm so between lunch and dinner rush) and the place wasn't overly packed so I'm unsure why she acted like she had much more important things to do than her job. The chips and salsa were very good. Salsa is flavorful with a tiny kick. I wish the chips were warm, it would make them perfect. Our service was a little slow. I got a Gina-Rita, margarita made with Blue Moon, and it was delicious. I also ordered the Grilled Chicken lime tacos with beans. My hubby got the Mayan enchiladas. He said his was delicious. Mine was on the cold side. Although I did love the corn tortillas. Overall mine could've been more flavorful and they gave me super small pieces of Avocado. My hubby was disappointed that they didn't have Horchata. I was surprised they didn't. I would've given this review more stars if we'd had better service and if mine wasn't cold.

This place is hands down the best Mexican food experience I've had in the US. We had Joahn as our server and he was so polite and welcoming. Having spent 17 years in Colorado I am disappointed that I hadn't found this place until now. Do yourself a favor and give La Estrellita a shot. Thank you Joahn for the awesome service!

We found La Estrellita through the Yelp app. Thanks Yelp for helping us discover another great place to eat Mexican food. My husband ordered the three meat fajita combo. It came out sizzling hot and smoking. I ordered their August special which was a three chicken taco combo. It was very tasty and their rice was amazingly fluffy and flavorful. The service was great and everything came in a timely manner. I would definitely go back!

I love me some good Mexican food.. This is Aztec l/Mayan food from the Yucatán area. A bit different then northern Mexico food. Don't get me wrong the food was good just a few personal things I did not care for. 1. House made chips were to salty. This takes away from the chip itself. 2. Not sure what is was about the salad but I did not care for it. (Red salsa that comes with chips) I ordered the Tacos Al Carbon.. they were really hot when they came out I had to wait a few mins so I did not burn my fingers. My cilantro and onions were served in the side... nice but they fingers were then covered in cilantro when I scooped it up to put on my tacos. LOVED the tacos came with guacamole. I could tell I got the beans and rice from the side of the warming tray because my rice was a little hard and my beans were dried and crusty in areas. I eat both tacos and called it a day. I waited with my plate pushed away and napkin and all utensils piled on my plate hoping that waiter would notice. I saw home walk by only once since I finished. I had to flag him down to get my check. I paid and left. No Thank you for coming in or how was the food.

It's okay Mexican food, with great margaritas. Although... I do think the margaritas are overpriced. A 32oz margarita is $27!

When looking at the menu, the prices were outrageous, but thought the food must be really good! The restaurant doors were locked when we arrived around 11:30, even though their website said they opened at 10:00. I like to support local restaurants but this one was horribly disappointing! We were the only customers in the restaurant and service was extremely slow. There was only one employee we saw, the one who unlocked the door for us and turned out to be our waitress. She was polite, but very slow in getting our drink order, food order, and ticket. I could have understood understaffing, but as mentioned, we were the only customers in the place. When our food came, I was almost embarrassed for our waitress. The food hardly filled our plates. I ordered a chicken dish where the chicken breast had been split in half. It was tough and hard to cut and and chew. It was maybe the size of a small burger, very small and about 1/4 of an inch thick! According to the menu description, it was supposed to be marinated. It tasted like the "marinade" was ketchup mixed with a little Tabasco. Other plates were very skimpy on food. Burritos and enchiladas were small and almost almost laid flat on the plates. I guess I could deal with it better if the cost was about ¼ of the price we paid. No drinks for 4 totaled, with tip, around $80.00!! Will never go to this place again! I typically don't do reviews but this experience was completely "over the top" bad in all areas. We all left feeling cheated, and hungry! Don't waste your money here!

I was excited to try this food truck turned restaurant that recently opened in a familiar space…read more Inside, you'll find the mini-bowling alley and super cute pink decor that matches their trucks and Day of the Dead themed art. The large seating area is clean, and the ordering area is modern, with large menu screens. The food is formatted so that you select your protein variation and then a presentation, which could be a quesadilla, nachos, taco, sandwich, or bowl. If you really want more, you can select a side dish. We decided to try pork nachos and a birria quesadilla. The service was top-notch, and the staff was super friendly. Unfortunately, it was a big letdown. $15 nachos had very little pork but lots of convenience store nacho cheese sauce, which was not at all what I expected. They also were missing a mess of normal nacho toppings, and those that were on it were scarce. More than half the chips were dry. The quesadilla was unremarkable. The cheese used was not high quality, and it seemed average at best. Overall, I am disappointed as I would have loved to have found another option in Brighton. With the fun atmosphere and lots of TV, it would have been a good place to grab a bite, a beer, and watch the game or meet with friends. Hopefully, they get it dialed in or lower their prices to reflect the actual product.

That being said this being food truck, I still had to pay with a leg and half an arm for simple food to go, $17 an item. Simple service and not much else besides a snack. Food choices were chicken, pork or veggie. Bowl, tacos or quesadilla. We opted for a chicken bowl and pork tacos. Chicken bowl was small, basic, and topped with geen Chile's not really a a green chile. Food had an interesting citrus profile topped with cabbage, not a slaw. The pork tacos were a better of the two, being full of flavor and moist but drenching the single corn tortilla it was served in. By the end of the first taco, the other two were falling apart. Tacos were topped with cabbage again but all together, a very small portion filling for the tortilla being used. Overall food was edible. Not a coleslaw like labeled. Green chile was in fact just diced up green chile almost canned like. Small portions for the amount of paid. Would eat if I was hungry enough.
