Green chili smothered burrito with carnitas!

We rode our scooters and decided to have dinner because of the delicious food odors. We were seated in the outdoor dining area. Eries main street was buzzing with activity so the people watching was enjoyable! Our waiter Ramon, was attentive and friendly, he made sure our drinks didn't run dry. I had the smothered green chile burrito. It was freaking delicious! This was a very fun dining experience!!!!

First timer, strolling down Main Street.. I love a place where the staff is having just as much fun as the patrons and the drinks are talking to me nicely!! Clean and organized indoor/outdoor seating. Music on point to catch all the vibes; and at an appropriate volume to boot! Swing through for a HH Marg, light apps and check the scene.. Cheers!

Service was decent and inside was a modern cantina. I got the Tacos Al Carbon with carnitas and overall I would say it was pretty good. If I come back I would get the tacos again definitely!

Came here yesterday for Cinco de Mayo! It was packed, but the staff was still very friendly and worked tirelessly. Really appreciate the energy to try to satisfy all the customers. The chips and salsa is delicious. Salsa has a slight kick but was super flavorful. Got the premium margarita and it was well worth it :) Unfortunately the made entrées didn't meet my expectations. Got the steak fajitas and the meat was over cooked and tough for my taste. Mole also wasn't as flavorful as I had hoped. The tamales was okay. The smother was good, but the pork tamale itself didn't have as much flavor either. Hoping it was just an off day given how busy they were. Overall I'd give this place a 3.5 stars. Definitely a place to go and grab drinks and catch up with friends.

Wapos has only been open for a couple of months and we just moved to the area, but we've been in twice now over the last few weeks. We've also been to the Azteca that's right down the road previously and since we noticed a new Mexican restaurant entered the chat, we decided to stop by for lunch. After reading a few reviews, I wasn't surprised to learn that this place used to be a tavern. There is still a pretty good bar area in the newly renovated space as well as a good-sized dining area. The tables are spaced well so it doesn't feel super cramped if it's a busy time of the year. The space is clean and seems to be well organized. There is also a patio out back that I'm sure would be super cool to hang out on in the nicer months of the year. Both times we've been in we were helped immediately, and I believe our experiences have been with the general manager, which is cool! He is a super friendly, personable guy and is very welcoming. The menu is pretty large and has a lot of the typical dishes you see at many Mexican restaurants: enchiladas, burritos, tacos, an a la carte menu, and so on. You're given a generous helping of chips with some pretty bomb salsa when you're seated, which I love. I love salsa and spicy foods so much, so I was pleasantly surprised to realize the salsa is kinda spicy! Yay! The first time we visited, I ordered the chili verde enchiladas and my bf went for carnitas tacos. The wait between ordering and receiving the meals was quick, and presentation of the dishes has been on point. They're served on half sheet trays, which I think is pretty neat, too lol. While the flavors were pretty good, both times we ordered I swear the dishes were not really all that hot (temperature wise); not that they were cold, but you'd usually expect the food to be steaming and have to blow on your bites before eating and these dishes were not. I'm not sure if it was a fluke situation but I'll be back again to update my thoughts on this, I'm sure. Price point is reasonable, service is friendly, atmosphere is clean, and the food is pretty good. All things that get a thumbs up in my book.

I thought the salsa served with the chips was the worst I've had. The rest of the meal was just OK. I'd probably give it a second chance.

I tiki ramen taco bar... and it somehow works!…read more I've been here many times. I like the tacos, my wife likes the ramen, and we both like the drinks. I like that the menu is constantly changing, so I can always try something new. There are usually a few staples, too. The tacos are priced reasonably so you can try several flavors. Every now and then there's one I don't like as much as the others, but that doesn't ruin the experience. The ramen is priced well for the amount you get, too. The only thing I consistently haven't liked is their guacamole. But I do like their avocado and salsas. They have a decent happy hour and, recently added, a "taco Tuesday." The kids menu options are pretty good, too. The hot dogs are a hit. Sometimes the buttered noodles are, too. The tiki drinks are great fun, and they're always trying something new. In the past, they've put lemonades in fun cups (like the hedgehog cup) so our kids can enjoy a "fancy drink." The service is pretty fast and consistent. They bring you a nice jug of water to help yourself with refills.

This is an open concept restaurant, so it is not a quiet atmosphere, but very cozy! Our waitress…read moreIrene was great and attentive! I ordered the Hellfire Ramen, half spiced and it was even better than I was expecting! My boyfriend ordered the tacos, which were good, but the tortillas were falling apart as the cooled. Yeah, I reviewed this place before, but we get another one!…read more I came up here again because I was craving their crispy chili rellenos. So, made a motorcycle ride of it. We can call this review a review of consistency. Because they are just awesome! I've been here a few times between reviews and they are always wonderful. Today's meal was my old favorite, the crispy relleno. An amazing pasilla pepper laden with love and flavor. Started with the chips and salsa. Today I had tomatillo, avocado jalepeño and roasted tomato salsas served with blue corn chips and chicharones. Washed down with a wonderful house margarita and a negra modelo. Service was fast, friendly and I was not in a hurry to leave. They have some traditional music playing, definitely a warm buzz at lunch time. I sat solo, so didn't have to worry about conversation level. Can't wait to come back again! Thank you, you're awesome!!

When looking at the menu, the prices were outrageous, but thought the food must be really good! The restaurant doors were locked when we arrived around 11:30, even though their website said they opened at 10:00. I like to support local restaurants but this one was horribly disappointing! We were the only customers in the restaurant and service was extremely slow. There was only one employee we saw, the one who unlocked the door for us and turned out to be our waitress. She was polite, but very slow in getting our drink order, food order, and ticket. I could have understood understaffing, but as mentioned, we were the only customers in the place. When our food came, I was almost embarrassed for our waitress. The food hardly filled our plates. I ordered a chicken dish where the chicken breast had been split in half. It was tough and hard to cut and and chew. It was maybe the size of a small burger, very small and about 1/4 of an inch thick! According to the menu description, it was supposed to be marinated. It tasted like the "marinade" was ketchup mixed with a little Tabasco. Other plates were very skimpy on food. Burritos and enchiladas were small and almost almost laid flat on the plates. I guess I could deal with it better if the cost was about ¼ of the price we paid. No drinks for 4 totaled, with tip, around $80.00!! Will never go to this place again! I typically don't do reviews but this experience was completely "over the top" bad in all areas. We all left feeling cheated, and hungry! Don't waste your money here!
