Decided to try this coffee shop since it has rave reviews. I had an iced latte with cajeta flavored cold foam and oat milk. The latte seemed so simple but was a 100/10! The staff was prompt in handling the long line, but not very engaging. Probably since they were SO BUSY! I was surprised at how much they batched their drinks. The matcha and horchata was in a container. Honestly, she made my latte by the time we were done paying too. There is plenty of room to do work at this location, and it is a perfect hub for college students or people looking to gather.

La Costa seems like it's always busy. I came late on a weekday morning and the line was still out the door! It did move fast and even with the amount of business they get, there was a good selection of seating available. Nice place! Love all the large plants and the bright, spacious feel. I had a cappuccino and the chilaquiles. They have a warning about their food being spicy and is definitely true! I haven't been eating spicy food lately, so I'm glad I was sharing the dish because there is no way I'd be able to handle eating the whole thing myself. Self-serve water, napkins, and cutlery. Only hiccup was that I received a text that my drink was ready, but it wasn't. I went and stood by the bar, confused for a couple minutes & thinking it would be out shortly, before asking someone. They had it prepared shortly after. Parking can be a bit challenging. It's all street parking; be cognizant of the no parking signs on some days/times. I enjoyed the drink, food, and atmosphere.

Just bought a real book 'Black Flags, Blue Waters' and wanted to enjoy a nice cappuccino. Came here and got one with pretty heart foam. Staff so friendly. Luv this place.

La Costa is how I became a matcha lover! My go to order is an iced matcha with brown sugar syrup. Simple, but so good every time. It can get pretty busy, but the atmosphere is lovely. When I think of downtown Sacramento, I always think of La Costa and the surrounding area. I love grabbing a matcha here and taking a walk nearby. Their avocado toast is also delicious. The spice they add gives it the perfect kick and makes it stand out from your typical avocado toast. Definitely one of my favorite spots in downtown Sac! #like #comment #livelaughlovelife!

Deliciousness and fabulousness. The shrimp agua chile was overloaded with shrimp and my mollete was super cheesy. Today's cornbread was impeccable- we were lucky enough to get a side edge as well as a center cut of the cornbread. Like a good brownie the side edge is amazing. I tried out the large horchata and added strawberry cold foam - YUM YUM!!!

Consistently one of our favorites. Best drink I've had so far is the Cafe de Olla latte (decaf). Every one of their toasts, ceviches and tostadas we have had had such a depth of flavor. Today we got the salmon tartare which was delicious! Staff is always helpful and the space is always lively!

We've been wanting to try this place since it opened and by the time we moved out of Sac we've been hearing so many great reviews on the drinks and food, we finally came back into town and tried it. Iced Horchata hafcaf with Cajeta Soft Foam: 10/10 Iced Mocha: 7/10, needs more mocha Breakfast Tacos: 10/10 flavorful and prepared well Avocado Toast: 10/10 Pastries: 10/10 love the fun concha flavors, banana bread was so moist, chocolate cookie was soft Service: We did a to go order BUT when we came in there wasn't a "pick up" here location, so we waited in line to ask for items. I'm guessing online vs in person order, must be stay in line regardless? Ambiance: lots of seating, I could see why it gets busy and full so getting there early helps. A good amount of outdoor space if needed! Overall we would definitely come back here again and try all the different drinks and foods!!!

This place has me in a chokehold. Been here multiple times and does not disappoint. My go to drink has been the hot cappuccino with 1/2 a pump of brown sugar and vanilla, CHEFS KISS (Shout out to the barista that put me on!). The almond pastry is also so delicious. Soft, decant, and pair perfectly with the cappuccino. I've also tried their iced matcha and chai, very good as well. Their chai does not taste artificial like most other places. The only grievance I have with the spot is the space, it's can be very hard to get a seat, especially on weekends but really can't blame them for that, it's an amazing spot!

A place I would meet up with someone just because of the aesthetic and basic eats. Nothing to wow about. A place where you don't want to go too deep in downtown. Best thing from our order was Aquachile Verde Ceviche. I could've did without everything else.

The reason why I am giving this place four stars instead of five is it took the server a long time to deliver my food even though it was on the same tab as my girlfriends. I forgot to take pictures of what I ordered haha, but her dish was beautiful and delicious. She ordered chilaquiles. The ambiance inside the establishment was cute, the outside area was meh. I would come back here again but sit inside next time. Hopefully they bring out both our dishes at the same time.

Delicious food, inviting bright ambiance, friendly fast service. I'd recommend parking a few blocks away because it can get pretty hectic to park closer. Expect a line but it moves quickly. There is plenty of seating inside and out.

I popped into La Casa after visiting my friends at the healing touch chiropractic. It was about 10:10 AM this past Saturday and it was crackin! I knew that I wanted to get a concha and then I wasn't sure if I was gonna go with a Matcha or a black coffee but due to an appointment I had I just grabbed a quick drip and it was delicious . Black sesame and vanilla concha: This hit all the feels from the taste that it was supremely fresh, to the perfect balance of vanilla and black sesame, and just melt in your mouth Mexican baked goodness. I can't wait to go back to try the Matcha in the food selection! Visit this local gem! It's also very people and dog friendly so you can totally get a good vibe there!.

I remember I saw this coffee shop on TikTok when it recently opened and we decided to give it a try, since then it's one of my favorites, we always go back to Sacramento just to visit this place. I always get my favorite chilaquiles with chorizo and vanilla cappuccino. My husband loves the tamales, any meat it's delicious. It's very popular and there it's always a line but it's definitely worth the wait. Love their plants and cozy environment.

    The corn bread was yummy

My girlfriend and I dined at Lola's Lounge off Broadway for the first time this past week. Once we arrived we were greated and aaked if we wanted to sit inside our outdoors, to which we opted to sit outdoors. The outdoor area is a nice spacious area, with a homely and simply vibe. Filled with vibrant decor, assorted plants and knick snacks. It such a chill vibe, which is great for couples dinning and large parties of families and friends. Our waiter was very friendly and extremely welcoming, and he made several suggestions for dishes and drinks; several of which we ended up getting. Drinks: Passionfruit Paloma - $16 Happy Cuba Libre - $8 Appetizer: Half Tostones Half Maduritos - $12 Main Course: Blackened Salmon - $29 PR Special - $22 Dessert: Flancocho - $11 The appetizer...cheap The drinks...great The food...amazing! The half Tostones and half Maduritos were really and inexpensive ($12). We loved the chopped garlic on the Tostones, and the Maduritos were simple as they should be. The PR Mule and Paloma were large in portion and really good as well. And the Blackened Salmon and PR Special were delicious as well, and I'll neber turn down more Maduros as the PR Special came with them as well. I'd originally wanted to order the Mofongo, but unfortunately they were out at the time so I'll have to try it the next time we go. Overall: Great food and drinks, great outdoor patio and dinning experience. Very friendly staff. We'll definitely be back!

We had a large party and I think the service could have possibly been more attentive, but that's always a hit or miss for a large group. Our waiter was super kind and despite so many of us getting there at different times the spacing between entrees was excellent. I had a pina colada coquito fusion cocktail and it was delicious. My friend tried their take on the espresso martini and it was also balanced really nicely. Everyone enjoyed their drinks and it had a good selection! Honorable mention is the patio. I didn't even know they had a patio?? Such colorful outdoor decor paired with plants made me feel like I could spend hours with my friends here. I'd easily see myself going there alone for lunch someday just to relax outside, especially during the summer. Very decent amount of shade as well. Everyone really enjoyed their food and I got the paella again. This time it wasn't mushy rice and packed full of seafood, however the dish holding the food was very shallow and not an enormous portion. I'd think the portion would maybe be split between three people easily? But any large groups would need additional orders. The empanadas were tasty as well and I'm excited to try the different options next time I come. Worth checking out and an amazing food spot for summertime to enjoy outside. Also tip for parking - it isn't too bad if you just go a block further down Broadway heading east. You'll find street spots easily!

Airport Location Review…read more Finding decent food on the road can be a gamble, but Centro Cocina Mexicana in Terminal A is a reliable spot for a pre-flight meal. I ordered two tacos and a side of black beans. The pollo (chicken) taco was just okay. It comes with pineapple, which wasn't really my thing, though that is on me for not reading the menu description closely. Even putting the pineapple aside, the chicken itself wasn't super impressive. The birria taco, however, was very good--especially on the airport food scale. It had great flavor, and I definitely wished I had just ordered two of those instead of the chicken. The black beans were also tasty (note that if you see green in the photo, that's just the hot sauce I added myself). Service isn't lightning-fast, but it's actually a good sign because everything tastes fresh and prepared to order rather than sitting under a heat lamp. Pro Tip: If you want a drink, order it at the neighboring Bar New Helvetia--they allow you to bring your food from Centro over to the bar to eat!
