Once of the best choices I have ever made was going here. I have taken some time to write this because I did not want to write a review that was without merit or value. In other words I truly wanted this review to be full of truth of experience and worth. Couple of things I was worried about. Buying a Car off Holt. Lets be honest there are not a lot of things that I have known that are good to buy off Holt other than street tacos. Not exactly the place I would think I would have an amazing customer service experience with great people and great product. Steve, and the Team here is what I would call Magnificent. I was not exactly what you would call an easy sale. I was also a bit strangely organized financially because of my type of business so I proved to be a bit of a challenge for them. Calm and collected they were never worried. Only me. I left this place driving an excellent car with great milage and what I would call no buyer remorse. Mostly because of the experience which I thought would or could get salted over time but it has not. There were a few issues with my purchase that involved the navigation and control module. Steve assured me he would help me take care of it and another minor issue was that the lights are so fogged up they hardly look they are on. Once I get to a place where I can drop this car off I will have it handled but either way I can say this. There is reason why this organization is 5 Stars. They do everything right. They have the cars you are looking for and more importantly the attitude needed to make a good experience. In sales its about the CAN DO attitude. I was frustrated and felt a bit hopeless and they made me feel like I mattered. Steve Knows Sales and the Finance Guy not only knew finances but also computers. It feels good to be treated with respect. This is going to be the place my entire family and friends get their cars from. Here are the reasons. GREAT PEOPLE GREAT PRICES STAND MY THEIR SALES AFTER SALES AND AFTER SALES CARE WORK WITH YOU TO MAKE WHATEVER THEY CAN HAPPEN THEY GO THE EXTRA MILE. THEY WORK WITH BAD CREDIT / ISSUES WITH CREDIT THEY WILL DO WHAT IS IN THEIR POWER TO MAKE THINGS WORK I won't share what Steve did for me as I closed the sale with him and took my new used car home but it was very kind and I think he does it for alot of people. A Little bit counts and goes a long way. I am thankful and grateful for LA COSTA Sales and look forward to more reviews and my family buys their next cars here. There is NOTHING and I do mean nothing that could have done better. Excellent work guys. Sorry for the delay but I really wanted this review to be full of truth, reflection and longevity. CONS: Holt Ave is not somewhere you want to be late at night. CONS: A Little Stuffy in the Sales Room CONS: Issues with Car / PRO - Not an issue for a team of people who want your experience to be a good one. They know what to do, how to do it and where to go if anything does come up. Used Cars are not exactly iron clad anything can happen but they seem to have most of the things you need covered or can handle any minor issues you need to take care of or the direction to point you to. 30 Years + Years of Business and Integrity and Experience makes this place a no brainer to shop for your next used car. If you are going to buy a used car and have no choice the good part is the choice of where to buy it has already been made up. Reviews like this for a car dealership like this is unheard of. Truly A Diamond in the Rough. BUY YOUR CAR here! read more

I have very early childhood memories of La Costa Auto Sales. My parents might have been coming here, even before I came along into this world. The 2 Lacosta brothers running this business are the most honest and trustworthy salesmen you can find in the area. They specialize in affordable used cars! Come here to buy, sell or trade! My family has been coming here since our struggling origins. When I say struggles, I mean, we were a ONE CAR household. My dad would drop my mom off at work in the mornings and either he or my aunt would pick my mom up from work. We had a humble living and even with one car, we couldn't afford anything too new. The La Costa brothers were there to provide their automotive knowledge and extremely reliable recommendations. The cars we purchased from them throughout the years had no headaches. When it was time to afford to budget a second car into our household, it was legendary. We felt extremely blessed and fulfilled to have what others would imagine to be basic necessities. La Costa Auto Sales was a major factor in making that transition possible for their reasonable rates and reliability. I will always always feel grateful that they were able to be there for us during tough times. Pass forward to the present, we are blessed to afford to buy newer cars from the Honda dealership, but that leaves us with an "old" car on hand. Honda offered quite an insulting value, and my dad immediately said No thank you! We knew selling it to La Costa Auto Sales would be an honest amount, whatever the offer would be. We saw Steve, and he did a thorough inspection and pulled up the car's official reports, and gave us his professional opinion. We knew it wouldn't be much, but we definitely trusted and appreciated any "value". That car has been good to our family for two decades, and it was really hard to let go. We trust that it will be good to its' new owner, and still keep the car in our prayers. As a family who has bought, traded and sold cars with La Costa Auto Sales for nearly three decades, I can in all honestly give them the ultimate seal of approval. When we have relatives or friends who are just starting out, need a used car for a beginning driver, or looking for a reliable used car, we would always direct them here and trust that a positive transaction would take place for both parties. read more

This is one of the best dealership I've went to, they are honest friendly and they make you feel at home. Steve was amazing not just for helping but having patience with the whole process with my bank and I appreciate every worker there because the car was clean and beautiful. I would definitely come back here in the future if I need another car. Most honest people I've ever met. I had a great experience here at La Costa Auto Sales. read more

I met the owner. Really cool guy.. easy going... confident... knows his stuff. I came to look at a Lexus they had on their lot. I didn't end up buying it, but they treated me well and never once pressured me in any way shape or form. I told the owner on the spot that I appreciated his approach and that this was by far the BEST experience I have had shopping for a car EVER. Most of the time you go to a dealership, people ignore you or try to intimidate you... talk over you... etc. None of that here. The vehicle didn't end up being a fit with me, but I am confident to say that all the positive reviews on yelp are spot on. There are good people here. Visit with confidence. read more

Me and my husband bought a truck from here a few months back. I suggested this place because of the reviews I saw here and they did not let me down. Not only did they give us a great deal on the truck we needed but they were the friendliest most kind people and understood our situation so they made sure everything was done quickly and that we had the truck ready when we needed it. I will definitely go there again if we need another car and with most definitely recommend them to anyone I know. Sorry for the delay on the review guys it's been a roller coaster lately. But I still owe you guys lunch. Thanks for everything you did for us. read more

So far so good! We are in the process of purchasing a truck from them now. Just waiting for some repairs to be done that we're supposed to be done before we even looked at the vehicle but we couldn't wait so Jeff made an exception and let us come see it first! Once whole buying process is finished I will update my review but Jeff is very professional, super friendly and such a family oriented place. Listened to all of our concerns and is doing his best to get everything handled. Thanks again Jeff I would definitely recommend this place to my friends and family. From the beginning La Costa Auto Sales has been nothing but a great experience. Steve, Jay and Jeff treat their customers with friendly service professionalism no pushy sales tactics and like family. They're straight forward and honest and were understanding of my situation and needs. I will highly recommend them to everyone and anyone that is looking for a quality used car. I will be a customer for life. I went to other dealership's but wasn't treated as well as La Costa Auto Sales did. I had a car to trade in and they beat everyone's price. They definitely know their business and do their homework. Thank you Steve, Jay and Jeff. You have a customer for life.

Let me start by saying if you need a reliable car this is where you need to be. All of the gentlemen that work here are helpful, respectful, patient and will go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and valued as a customer. They do not haggle you at all, and do not push you or pressure you into cars, if you like it, you like it and they do everything they can to get you into decent payments. I've purchased more than one vehicle from them and so has my man. All of the vehicles were in exceptional running condition and still are to this day. My most recent purchase was a 2018 Toyota Camry that had very low Miles and runs great. The process while buying is quick and painless they don't drag the process on for hours and hours like other businesses seem to do its definitely not an all day process. Both times I purchased a car I was in and out within an hour. read more

I bought a used car form La Costa auto sales last week for my 17 year old daughter. I shopped around for about a month and went to 8 different used car dealerships from LA to Corona. Let me tell you, don't even waste your time going to other dealerships, if La Costa has the car you are looking for BUY IT. First of all, the car they advertise on line, looks like the car I went to see. Unlike other dealerships I visited to look at advertised cars, that looked nothing like the one that they were advertising. A lot of those other dealerships I visited were like your typical used car dealerships. They wanted to make a quick buck by up marking up their advertised price by adding on unnecessary items to that car like alarms, paint protection ( ON A TEN YEAR OLD CAR).... Really???. Not at La Costa Auto Sales. The price they advertise is the price you pay (obviously plus tax, registration etc.) But most importantly, I promise you, you Will NOT find a used car dealership that has the kind of customer service (Steve and Jay are AWESOME) that I have experienced after the sale, when other dealerships would have washed their hands of the completed sale. This is a top notch dealership like no other out there. Give them a chance and you will not be disappointed. read more

Let me say that Jay is one of the most sincere people you will meet in this business. As a consumer, it's very difficult to trust used car dealers. Also getting burned by one won't make you trust them any more. I have to say that as soon as I waked on the lot I wasn't hassled to start the buying process. I was allowed to see what cars they had and Jay welcomed me into his establishment. He took his tome to understand my needs. He was patient because I had a ton of questions. He asked if I wanted to see any vehicles, which I did. There was absolutely no pressure to make an immediate decision on the spot. I can't tell you how relaxing it is to not be rushed into a sale. So thanks for that! When I left I felt like a valued customer that was understood and not treated like a commission. I would recommend stopping by La Costa if you're ever in need of a quality used car. It's a smaller lot with caring people. Ask for Jay! Thanks again for being a caring and honest business owner. read more

I just purchased a car from this dealership, my first ever and it was the best experience ever! I knew from the moment I got on the phone and spoke to-who I later found out was one of the owners, Steve- that this dealership was different in the best of ways. Steve was so normal, kind and the opposite of every single dealer I've been to this past year, a breath of fresh air. Everything at this dealership was intimate, upfront and enjoyable. It broke the mold of every stereotype and real bad experience that people have heard of with car dealerships. I'm so grateful for everyone at La Costa Auto Sales and how natural, normal and exceptionally real and kind yet still professional everyone was. No pressure, no double talk or trickery. It was like going back in time, to when people took pride in their work and actually had a desire to make a difference to the customers life and not just make a buck. Wish I had found them at the beginning of my hunt a year ago but soooo glad I found them at the end. I bought my first car from this dealership a few days ago and I can actually say it was a rewarding experience, auto wise and people wise, a win win. Thank you La Costa Auto Sales!!:) read more

I came here 3 weeks before since it's my first time buying a car and the owner was so amazing and gave me an amazing deal but I didn't want to buy the first car I saw. So I spent the 3 weeks looking all over on Carmax, CarGurus, and just other local dealerships around me (I forgot the name of it since we were just driving along holt and spotted it) and I just happened to check his website and read his reviews again and saw he had a Nissan Versa s 1.8 and called right away and bought it the next day. Great car and amazing mileage. And SO SWEET and made it so easy so thankyou so much read more

We purchased a 2014 AWD Ford Explorer and could not be happier. The car had high mileage but is in terrific shape. I took it to get an oil change after buying it and Valvoline told me their records showed the car had regularly been in and had last been serviced 2000 miles earlier. We've now had the car a couple weeks and have had nothing but pleasant surprises regarding the condition and performance of the car. Before buying from La Costa, we toured all of the area lots. The car purchased from La Costa was head and shoulders more car for the money than we could have got anywhere else. Next time, I will not waste my time shopping the other dealers and will start at La Costa. read more
