I started having problems with the vehicle the same day that I left the lot so I took it back the next day because if it's going to be giving me issues before I have it for even a day then that worried me. Don't sell cars that need repairs within 30 days of purchase or 5 months I purchased a vehicle from DriveTime in April 2024. Within 30 days, the vehicle developed mechanical problems. Rather than resolving these issues at the dealership level, I was directed to use the SilverRock warranty. Despite continued repairs, the vehicle required a complete engine replacement in October 2024. Now in 2025, the vehicle is once again displaying a check engine light, and I am currently addressing possible transmission issues. This has been a long-term reliability concern that has required repeated service visits and significant time and effort. First of all, I wish I had read these reviews. I purchased a vehicle from Drive Time with very low mileage and you would think that it would be a good situation, but three weeks after purchasing the vehicle there are lots of problems. First of all the brakes were worn down and the rotors are pretty much shot. I mentioned this to the dealership after a few days and they suggested I go to Silver rock which is the extended warranty that I paid $3800 for extra. It seems Drive Time make it sound like the warranty was included in your purchase, but it was not.. I took my vehicle to a mechanic shop which was on the list of Silver rock and even they said yes your brakes are completely done so now Silver rock refused to do the work needed and said it was not included in the warranty. I remember before driving the car off the lot cells wrap checking off all the details of the vehicle as being good and the brakes were one of them.. so , even though the brakes are completely sharp, silver rock claims that they are not sailing and so nothing is covered and then they turn around after I spoke to a second agent and he says it's not covered because it falls into the category of wear and tear, even though I only had the car for a week. Silver rock is full of shit and will say anything to try and get out of pain to get the work done. would say this is fraud. So the mechanic shop does a complete diagnostics and find that the motor mounts are completely shot. Also the engine is vibrating and has caused an oil leak. Luckily this was approved. I actually wanted to take the car back to the dealership,but because the car was in the shop it went over the five day period that they accept to be returned .this company. completely sucks and judging by all the other reviews, this is their normal business practice. There are a lot of other minor issues with scratches all over the paint work and tiny perforations in the leather interior as if a cat has been inside the vehicle with its claws out . also, there is a loud rattling sound coming from the rear end, which I thought was the suspension, but luckily it was not the mechanic could not find the problem, but it seems like it has something to do with the rear hatch door. They were not able to fix it so I am still listening to a loud rattling noise coming from the rear end . I am worried that more things are gonna come up as time goes by and there will be no repairs done by Silver rock because of their strict policy, which basically makes them want to not want to approve work on the vehicle. So less than a week of driving the vehicle off the lot and now I have to pay $1200 to repair the brake pads and rotors. If you wanna get ripped off ,go to Drive Time in Montclair? They are dishonest and full of shit and not only that ,the vehicle was overpriced compared to the same year make and model on the market by about $3000. I am shocked that a dealership can allow a customer to drive a purchased vehicle off the lot with so many problems and then not want to be held responsible days later this vehicle cost me $19,000, the least they could do is fix the fricking brakes. I hope many people read this and decide not to do business with them in the future and They will lose by far more customers to what they would spend fixing the brakes. read more

Absolutely worst dealership ever. Bought a car from the Montclair, CA location 3 weeks ago and the transmission blew today my boyfriend and I haven't even put 1500 miles on the car. We called drivetime to return the vehicle the said they would put us in a car with more miles and a bigger car payment. Um no thanks. We called drivetime customer loyalty center and spoke to Brandi who was very rude and un helpful, and told us to bad we can only return the vehicle before 5 days that we have to go through the repair process. OK fine we called Silverrock the warranty company to set up a rental which we were then told we have to pay out of pocket and they only reimburse up to $300. My car is going to be in thr e shop for at least 5 weeks. Silverrock only covers 30$ a day or 300$ total at Enterprise but the cheapest car on their contract with Enterprise is $47 a day so the total would be $1809 up front which we don't have and we would only be reimbursed $300. So not only do I have to pay my car payment for a car I'm not driving runner want us to pay $1500 for a rental car because they sell crappy cars. Absolutely worse customer service ever. I wish we never bought this car. Their warranty company sucks and is so unhelpful. Please please don't make the same mistake. read more

Update on our vehicle... so our car is still under warranty thank goodness it still had about 5000 give or take more miles..according to silverrock warranty that Drivetime provides gave us several names of mechanics to take it to and told us we would have to pay 100 deductible. That was on Friday, we made an appointment for today with the closest one being Aamco and the one by us has 4 stars on Google. We had it towed there today. So they called us after doing the hr diagnostic that SilverRock requested and told us a lot of codes came up having to do with the camshaft which we basically need a new engine. For a 2018 Kia Soul you're talking $5000-6000 so now Silver Rock is wanting us to get a third party to look at the car.. 1. They never mentioned this before and 2. I find it very strange that all of a sudden we are having issues here's why. Before my son got in his accident his check engine light came on with his Kia. He never had a chance to check it out before they totaled his car .. his second KIA he went through Enterprise ( he ditched Drivetime thank goodness) the guy at Enterprise who has been with Enterprise 25 years told him and my husband some interesting facts about Drivetime 1 they use to be called Ugly Duckling 2. They used to be called 1800gotcar or something like that and 3. All cars that don't pass Enterprises inspection they buy through auction. So my thought is they Jerry rigged their vehicles just to last close by warranty. According to my son Enterprise is so much more helpful and after a year the guy is going to try to get my son refinance at a lower rate and his rate is pretty darn good as it is.. I financed a 2013 Chevy equinox from this location with the drive time care protection warranty and six months after the purchase , the car needed a whole new engine . after dealing with silver rock for about 4- 5 months I finally get my car repaired . Here we are now 2 years later and the same car needs a whole new engine again but this time the warranty company wants me to pay $3000 out of my pockets to help them replace the engine they inspected and chose to use for my vehicle all while I still have to pay almost 500$ a month to the loan company . All I have to say is know your own credit score before walking into Drivetime. These people say they use Experian for credit check. Which was a big lie. They said my credit score was 598. I monitor my credit score through the Experian App. and my credit score is a 640. I know my credit score isn't the best and my credit score is not bad either. When Bradly said my score is a 598 and my interest rate will at 25% I told him my credit score is not 598 its 640 the he responded sometimes the numbers are a little off . I told Bradly little off would be 638 or 635 but 598 credit score is way off. I walked out of Drivetime very disappointed I did not purchase a car from Drivetime. I went elsewhere and got a good deal with an 8% interest rate. Big difference. read more

Driving from north Hollywood to get the car that I wanted I would say was worth it for me especially other dealerships that I couldn't go to that literally wanted me to sell my soul. I love my car but just know that used cars prices are higher in $$$ due to the inflation. Pay attention to the total price of what you are paying than you payments. Your literally buying a old car with new car prices & more. No lie I needed the car badly for work so this info couldn't stop me The process was so long but the people that work with me there were so great. The only thing I would warn about is to make sure you do a through inspection with the car (drive the heck out of the drive test to make sure the light engine doesn't go off) and make sure you get it done at the dealership no matter how long it takes !!! Do not leave the lot without getting everything taken care of. Trust me . I had a couple issues with my purchase and dealing with Bridgecrest was a horrible experience from my monthly payment to my warranty with the car . Don't have high hopes for them especially during these uncertain times (Covid). My only advice to be on top of your account with them and record any interaction with them as the reps share inconsistency in information. The warranty process is even worse,I gave up . I went in recently the first time, they had my test drive a car that did not feel safe and they knew something was wrong since I witnessed them discreetly checking under the hood before we left. Regardless, I returned the following day to finalize the paperwork on the car I chose and bring in my car to trade. I was immediately met with an attitude from some of the workers. After sitting down, a different woman associate had me redo my application and had an attitude the whole time. We were given a higher number from what the first associate offered and when we explained the first associate (who was sitting right across from us) gave a different offer her and the male manager claimed we were lying. Went here because I saw the car I wanted online. Looked nice and clean in the pictures but when I went to test drive it was filthy both inside and outside! I'd expect the outside to be dirty from sitting but the inside looked as if they hadn't cleaned it since the last owner had it. I ended up just doing the test drive anyway and liked the way the car felt and drove in-spite of how dirty it was. So when I got back I'd asked if they had cleaned the inside and if they would before I left the dealership. He said it's was dirty from sitting in the lot, still didn't explain why the inside was a mess but insured me that they would have it cleaned before I took it off the lot. I agreed and continued with the paperwork which took hours because my salesman kept getting distracted by coworkers and losing track of what he was doing. I even asked once again if he was going to have the car washed and he said yes of course after a bit. After a whole 4 hours when everything was done he just handed me the keys and said congratulations and allowed me to drive it off the lot without any kind of cleaning. Usually I would have said something but I figured after the way he kept lagging on the paperwork and getting distracted my car wouldn't have a proper cleaning anyway and I would just be wasting more time. So I had to clean it using products that came out of my own pocket. Overall just a bad experience and definitely won't be getting another car from here ever again. Very unprofessional! read more

I showed bank statements drive time refused to give me my money back, and lied that they had backed out of the deal.
