My family made the decision to downgrade to a more economical vehicle. What could have been a stressful experience turned into a truly positive car-buying experience thanks to Jay and his team. It's refreshing to work with a gentleman who genuinely cares about his customers and knows his vehicles from the bottom up. Jay's passion for cars and his love for what he does is contagious. Jay and his team are, in my experience, one of the most reputable and respected businesses in the used car industry. Everyone we dealt with was kind, respectful, and courteous. They treated us with understanding and made us feel comfortable throughout the entire process. They are a business you can trust, and my family is truly grateful for the time, patience, and professionalism they showed us. Thank you, Jay and the entire team, for making a difficult situation so much easier. We are very grateful for each and every one of you. read more

Was browsing around for TSX wagons and came across Jay and Crew/Shop. When people talk about finding a hidden gem in the automotive scene, this is definitely one of them. The customer service and professionalism were out of this world. Overall, it was a great experience and very welcoming. You can definitely see and feel the appreciation and love they have for cars, which really makes the whole experience stand out. I'm looking forward to purchasing a car from them and even using them for regular repairs and services in the future. One of the most honest automotive shops I've come across. read more

I purchased a 1994 Corvette from Inland Valley Auto and Jay (the owner) gave me the full rundown on the vehicle and addressed the maintenance performed at his shop prior to selling to make sure the car he was selling was ready to go! I'm glad I went this route rather than buying a random car off of craigslist or offer up. read more

Have bought multiple cars from Jay and they've all out lasted me. My most recent purchase was a 98 Toyota Celica, that I have almost had for 4 years and it is pushing over 200,000 miles. It still runs beautifully! I know that any car I picked would have been just as great of quality. Jay is always available to answer any question that may come up, and follows up with me to make sure that I am satisfied with my purchase. I refer all of my friends to him! read more

I purchased a car from Jay this weekend and I have been at ease every since the very first phone call with him regarding one of his vehicles for sale. Jay was honest and genuine from the get go and his love for cars and helping people really shined through from the start. Jay took his time to explain everything to me about the car and it felt good to know that he personally drives every car to ensure everything is working properly. There was never a second where I felt pressured, lied to or treated poorly. This was the smoothest most comfortable car buying experience I've been through. I'll definitely be sending over anyone I know who is looking for some new wheels and when I'm ready for the next one, I'll be back. read more

Jay is an honest guy. I was going to purchase another car at other dealer(s) until i saw the bad reviews. Jay maintains all his cars with his own trusted mechanics. His prices are fair and financing is also very good. This is a local mom and pop small business that has been around for awhile that takes care of their customers. No high pressure sales here. read more

Jay is exactly the type of guy you want to do business with, he's really a car guy, who happens to own a dealership. I bought a 2003 Lexus SC 430 in early April 2017. I've been seeking this particular vehicle for six to nine months, and juggling between other vehicles types. My criteria was pretty narrow, so I definitely knew what vehicles would & would not satisfy my pallet. Bottom line is that I paid $13,800 (out the door) when I was budgeted for $10,000. Seeing the amount of work Jay put into the cars and how he made his deals made me happy to spend the additional $3,800 above my original budget. Since I was buying a 14 year old car, the choices are limited. At a certain point, you really cannot nitpick took much. The alternative is buying a new car with new car prices. Some additional details of how Jay interacted with me during my original visit, test drive (x2), and finally the purchase. As mentioned, I was looking for a Lexus SC 430, in white. Back in November 2016, I found one for $11,400 in Hollywood, CA. Good guys, but I really wasn't ready to purchase, just yet. I then found another one (white, of course) in Murrieta, CA. I had some business in Riverside, CA so when I finished, I called the Murrieta dealer and gave them a call.... The guy was very kind and notified me that he had another customer coming in to see the car and didn't want me to drive the hour, if the car was already sold. Yeah, they sold the car.... So, driving back from Riverside back to the Los Angeles area, I checked autotrader.com and saw Inland Valley Auto. I decided to drop in and take a look just because it was on my way home. The price was bit higher than expected.. but hey, why not. I'm not really going out of my way to check out the car. Upon arrival to Inland Valley Auto, I was greeted by a very kind lady, I believe her name was Irene. She allowed me to peruse around the dealership and check out what's on the lot. Jay literally has my favorites on his lot. A 90s MR2, a Supra from the late 80s/early 90s, a 240 and 300Z, an older IS, all of these cars with some paint and modifications are Fast and the Furious type cars. NOTE: If I have to tell you that the first two cars are Toyotas, the second two are Nissan, and the last is a Lexus, you're not a car guy/gal... sorry. Jay also had a lot of old license plates and baseball cards in his office. I immediately knew I like whomever I was going to deal with. While I was looking around the dealership, Irene had called Jay to come over. Apparently Jay also has a mechanic's shop about 3 blocks away and was taking care of other business. Jay drives in, we shake hands, a quick intro and he lets me drive the MR2 first. I've always wanted to drive the 90s MR2, so that was a special treat. I personally own a 2003 MR2, but never got a chance to drive the earlier model. I then drive the SC 430 which I came to see. The drive was great. Keep in mind, I've test drove this model (SC 430) four or five times now at other dealerships already, so I knew what I was looking for. I came back from the test drive, told him my situation, he was priced a little high, but let's keep talking. Jay was very respectful and did not pressure me at all. I think this is where the "car guy" aspect really helps. I recognize that he did put some TLC in the car. I recognized that some of the leather was re-done, he changed the timing belt, and generally this was a well take care of vehicle. I asked Jay if he can swap out the rims with another vehicle. He said Yes. I asked Jay if I can switch out the antenna. He said Yes. I asked him if I can have a Lexus dealership inspect the car before I purchase. He said Yes. I mean, talk about letting the customer do whatever s/he wants. I forgot to mention that Jay also had three other SC 430s on his lot, all silver, so I wasn't really interested in those. I wanted the white one. The rims and antenna would be sources from the other silver SCs. I told Jay I'd like to think about it and left his lot, no pressure, just a cool guy and we'll keep in touch. read more

I purchased a 2009 Acura from this dealership, I got an awesome price for it, and it has been my driver for years now and it still runs great. over the past 6 years, we have bought 2 Lexus from him. We have referred 2 friends to him who themselves bought 2 more cars from him. All fully satisfied with our purchases. Listen, I literally made a Yelp account just to leave this review. This was the most pleasant and painless car purchase I've ever made. Hell, it was the only car purchase I've ever made; but I cannot see myself buying from a franchised dealer after this. The process was seamless and Jay makes it so easy. As a bonus, he's hilarious and knowledgeable. He's been in the business for over 20 years and he keeps it real with you. I will definitely be back and I encourage anyone who's considering buying a car to make sure you visit him first. Thanks again Jay! read more

I bought my 2000 Isuzu Rodeo from Inland Valley Auto a couple of year ago. Jay was more than professional when helping me make a decision on what vehicle was perfect for me. Very happy with the customer service Jay provided and with the product he stands by. Would def recommend Inland Valley Auto to anyone I know. read more

My family has purchased two cars from Jay and are in the process of purchasing our third. I knew that I had received a good deal when I was financing my vehicle at the credit union and they were told me that they were impressed with the amount I paid for my Corolla. I have referred Jay to several friends and he is extremely knowledgeable and trustworthy. The two used cars we purchased from him have been extremely reliable and held up well. Let Jay know what type of vehicle you need and he will find it for you at a reasonable price. We drive from San Diego because it is worth it to purchase from him. read more

I purchased a 1999 Lexus LS 400. I have been searching for a decent LS 400 for months with little success, and was apprehensive about purchasing a car out of state that I physically could not go see due to my work schedule being so full. I live in Texas so out of state was not my first thought, nor have I purchased a car out of state prior to now. Jay does not mess around!! He was awesome to deal with, super chill and easy going, and very dedicated to his work. He is the type of guy you want to buy a car from because it is glaringly obvious that he takes great pride in his work and great care of the vehicles in his possession. While other salesmen left me with a sketchy feeling, Jay made me feel very comfortable and at ease through the entire process. I'm not insanely picky, but I definitely have specifics, and if someone else would have bought this LS before me, I would have waited for another one from Jay because I know he is top notch. I could definitely see myself doing business with Jay again. Do yourself a favor and ditch the sketchy sleazy car salesmen and just call Jay instead. So happy with my new(to me) '99 LS 400!! It's everything he said it was and more, and I just can't thank him enough. read more

I can't say enough about this place. Jay has gone above and beyond to make sure my experience buying a used car from Inland Valley Auto went as smoothly and positively as possible. I bought a 2002 Infinity G20 about a month ago in San Diego that was full of problems. I had a lot of work done on it which broke the bank! I brought it to Inland Valley Auto for excessive vibration and I didn't know what it was. I feared it was a transmission issue, but Jay explained to me that it was an engine mount and sure enough it was :) They also found a defective strut which was making a funny noise that I thought was normal, a New strut I just had installed at Pepboys 3 weeks earlier. The point is, I now have a great repair shop that knows their stuff, even on a rare car like my G20. read more

I've bought my last 5 vehicles from Inalnd Valley Auto in Upland I have never been happier. Since buying all my cars from Inland Valley Auto in Upland, I have never lost money when reselling my vehicle. Do not do business with this guy. I purchased a used vehicle from them in 2007, car was in great shape and had about 27K miles. The car has been great, no problems at all. However I just went to trade the car in over 5yrs later and when the dealer pulled up the car history they told me the vehicle had been in a major accident and sustained frame damage and they showed me the report as well. The database they pulled from was not carfax because carfax just says the vehicle was in an accident in 2005 before I purchased the car, but appears to be a minor accident. Jay the owner of Inland Valley Auto told me the same thing, that the car had been in a minor "fender bender". But there is a separate database that dealerships have access to which will tell you further history and it was very clear that my car was purchased from an auction and it clearly states "frame damage". Jay and Inland Valley Auto would have access to this database just like any dealership would. So here I am 5yrs later and I basically cannot sell or trade the car without giving it away. Also, check Better Business Bureau (bbb.com) and you will see another complaint about their very poor business practices. read more
