Had been here a few times and always liked the food. However, this last time it was not good. I ordered the burger thinking I would get a great burger because the other food I'd had was good. After an hour wait until I got a very burnt burger, like black and hard on both sides. I absolutely hate burnt food. When the server finally came back to check on us I was trying to cut off the outsides and salvage the inside, but not much was edible. She offered to bring another one, but I wasn't about to wait another hour for that. They comped my beer, but feel like it should've been the food. We just moved from Kirkland to Burlington and wanted to try new breweries. We went here with high hopes, but was disappointed when it came to some of the beer and food. The burgers seemed frozen and the buns were just dry. I had the salmon burger, but only had the salmon, which I do recommend as its good. IPA, Pale, and Brown were the three beers we thought had potential and were pretty good, but the others not as much. Just not much characteristic in the beer, which is what you want. The service was a bit slow. We got our sampler, but after were done it took her longer then usual to check on us. She was going to get our beer after serving the two in her hand, but then cleared a table and then came back to us. Then two of our three meals came out and she stated she would be right back, but instead, served another table and then came to us, so that was frustrating to us. Probably won't be back again, but may give it another shot. read more

Have always liked this place. Nice atmosphere, great in winter, very cozy. Friendly people, good service, nice beer selection. But the food has gotten pretty average over the years. Nice menu but not prepared all that well. Buffalo wings in name only. Cooked well, but NOT Buffalo wings, just BBQ. Chicken, brie sandwich. Nice ingredients but a soggy, mushy mess. Pizza a bit under done and just average. And I've had what I thought was AWESOME pizza and sandwiches / burgers here in the past. Past few times not so much. Came here on a Monday at 4 for the happy hour specials. They have a variety of appetizers.we ordered nachos and wings, clams. We shared the Brie burger which was excellent. Would recommend. My SO decided on the honey lavender cider which was also very good. The decor is great with nice open windows for a breeze. Had a nice lunch here yesterday. The place is gorgeous inside and quite welcoming. We were greeted right away and got drinks quickly. The food took a long time to come, though. I got the bacon, tomato, and avacado panini. He got a cheeseburger. Mine could have been hotter. I know why, as we watched the order sit for some time at the window. Ugh. Burger was OK. We liked the atmosphere better than the food. Should have tried the pizza. It looked good! They have a wood fired oven which we enjoyed watching them use. Staying in LaConner with my partner. Worst customer service I've experienced. Absolutely RUDE wait staff....conservatively 20 minutes to get anyone's attention while actually sitting at the bar. Staff realized no one was waiting on us so they debated over who would do so (maybe rock paper scissors). Finally got a drink then served food with lacked basic seasoning...salt & pepper which is on every table. 7 or 8 passes by 3 servers before I actually asked while one was at the cash register to order a beer. Just finished lunch with my sweetheart. Excellent food and ambiance, quick service for a moderately busy time of the day. We had the black elderberry cider which was really tasty. We had a cup of chowder and a cup of mushroom soup, both delicious and served with focaccia. Next we shared a green salad which was fresh and filling. Finally we split a mushroom sausage pizza which was perfect in every way except it was too much to finish. I would definitely recommend this spot and would gladly return. read more

We came in mid week for dinner about 80% full. The service very fast and good. We ordered pizza off the happy hour menu. Pizza was better than the average pizza. The Thai pizza was my favorite. As for beer.... I had the citra IPA which was the best beer I had all week after hitting four other breweries. I can't tell you how the other beers were because I had two citras. Best place in La Conner to dine in an inviting indoor and outdoor atmosphere!! My favorite bartender knows my likes and dislikes even if I haven't been in there in months. probably one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. My husband, 10 month old son, and I came here after tulip fest. They sat us out on the patio between two outdoor heaters that made the place sweltering. We asked the lady who seated us if they could be turned down, and she said she "didn't know how to" and then never asked a coworker. My family and I were so overheated that we needed to move to another table. It took the waitress about 20 minutes to come to our table to take our drink order. Then it took about 20 more minutes to get the drinks, and the waitress told us she didn't remember taking our drink order...(???) Then she finally took our order for food, and we proceeded to wait another 35 minutes. We looked around the patio and realized that out of all the people sitting there, we had been the first to be seated and were the ONLY ones who had not received our food (again, ????) Being fed up, we decided to leave. I asked to speak to the manager and she said, "Oh yea, you guys were the ones who ordered the burgers...they're coming right up." Um, WRONG. We had ordered two salads. Did we step into the twilight zone? My family and I left the place with empty stomachs, very frustrated to have wasted our time. I suggest you not waste yours. Decided to check out La Conner for an afternoon. The brewery was right in their downtown area so we decided to give it a try. They had a good selection of beer and ciders. We got the chips and salsa (not that good) to start. Then we got a pepperoni pizza and a Margherita pizza. Both were really good. We also tried the gluten free crust which was great as well. Great little tourist trap of a place. The decor is definitely some knick-knack catalog's idea of what the world is supposed to look like. You know, like those people's living rooms that look like a lobby but everyone always says how pretty they look. It's not off-putting at all, it's actually quite welcoming, just not as soulful as it thinks it is. Very cute and friendly servers, though nobody seemed to know anything more about the beer than they had to to serve it to tourists and townies. I was there on a Saturday night, and all the locals were asking each other if they were going to the big dance tonight. I didn't know any places still had big dances tonight for anyone other than high schools and junior highs, but there you go. It's set in a quaint, chamber-of-commerce-approved historical district. You smell salt air walking around here it's right across the street from the piers. It's really nice, and you're bound to find a few of the beers in good shape. What a disaster! We were headed to see the tulips and decided to stop for lunch. They were extremely busy for Monday at 1p, but figured it was because of the tulips. We waited for at least 15 minutes and got a table near the wood fire pizza kitchen. The server was really sweet. I ordered the homemade root beer & she suggested tasting it first. Why? Because my taster tasted like bleach. I settled for ice tea. My husband ordered the IPA, which he liked, but the ESB tasted like there was bacteria in the lines. We ordered the harvest quesadilla & shrimp tacos. We never got to try it, because it never showed up. One hour twenty minutes and it never arrived. The delivery of food was extremely slow in our section as we watched food go right past us to the outside patio. My husband had a clear view of the kitchen area and witnessed one plate of food wait for delivery at least 35 minutes and it wasn't under the heating lamp at all. Another plate sat for also quite a long time. Slowly, those around us got food, but ours did not show up. Server said it wouldn't be too much longer. We couldn't stand it any longer. I found the owner & told her what was going on & that we just wanted to pay for our drinks & go. She really didn't believe we waited that long and actually took our $11 for the drinks. If she spoke to the server & checked the computer, I'm sure she now knows we were telling the truth and I'm sure she's sorry for taking our money and not apologizing. read more

The food was one to two stars though and my group tried everything from pizza to shrimp tacos to quesadillas. Like most Brewery's, I couldn't wait for their brew pub burger version. I ordered it medium rare, asking for grilled onions. I should have been suspicious when our waitress said, not sure if the chef will do that. Well, the burger came, did not look hand formed. More like a machine pressed burger. About a year ago I ventured out to La Conner and stopped in the brewery to buy a pint glass with their attractive logo on it. I ended up purchasing a six pack of their IPA. After sampling the first bottle i came to two conclusions: First there is no way this is an actual IPA as it is way too malty and not very hoppy, and second this is the worst tasting beer i have ever tasted! I pawned off a bottle to a few of my friends and everyone agrees with me. The word has gotten out and no one dares take the last bottle off my hands. So there it sits lonely in my fridge waiting for someone out of the know to drink it. read more

Came in on a very busy Sunday afternoon and was promptly seated. The wife ordered the thai chicken pizza, which was AWESOME. I had the shrimp tacos, which were OK but not great. Something about corn tortillas straight out of the package without even being heated up tends to gross me out a little, they tasted very "raw". The shrimp was good though, and the salsa was OK (though not enough of it), and I much prefer cabbage on seafood tacos instead of the lettuce they were made with. Overall good, fast service and the food came out fast, however only 1 out of two dishes were great. read more
