Food was amazing, the cooking time was longer than expected but when we saw the plate that was brought for us we all dropped our jaws.

Very authentic. Menu had enough, not too much. A lot of spanish on the menu and a Latina soap opera on the TV. I went around 2p on a Monday. They serve the very spicy red and medium verde salsas w the chips, and I ordered queso, guac, & pico to go along w them. I'm actually not sure if the chips would have been brought without me ordering the other dips or not. The guacamole was very good, all of it was. I also ordered a small steak quesadilla. It was just meat and cheese, which I liked so I could add the pico & guac I had ordered as an appetizer. They don't have fountain drinks, they serve bottled beverages, including beer. The service was just okay. It's a small local restaurant nearby another place I frequent, so I will probably go back to try other menus items once I've tried all the other food establishments in the nearby area.

We planned on visiting a Honduran restaurant at this address called Sazon Catracho. Upon reaching it, however, we discovered that Sazon Catracho was no more...it is now La Ceiba, catering both Honduran and Mexican cuisine. Sazon Catracho was intended to be our first experience with comida hondureña...La Ceiba it was. This review is really intended more to put this place out there and say "hey, La Ceiba exists!" than to actually review it, especially considering we had never tried Honduran food before and this is presumably a new restaurant. So please give them a try even though this is only a 3 star review! I had noticed from looking at other Honduran places that baleadas were a common food, so I chose to order the most simple variety, which they called the baleada cencillos. It had beans and cheese...from that point on I don't know what was in it. I thought it was sour cream before I started eating it but I'm pretty sure it was some sort of cheese sauce. It was pretty good, but I'm not entirely sure if it was actually intended to be eaten by hand or not...our waitress didn't give us any silverware and she delivered the dishes as they were ready instead of all at once so who knows! It was kind of awkward to eat, but I enjoyed it...the tortilla (or tortilla-like-bread) of the baleada was very thick...thicker than a pupusa. My mom had another variety of baleada, the megabaleada...and boy was it mega. It was huge. It had a mega assortment of ingredients as well: sausage, beef, beans, cheese, avocado...and probably some other stuff. The issue with it was that the beef (essentially the most abundant ingredient) was not good. Otherwise it was ok, but that kinda ruined it. My dad had some odd concoction on a plate that had ground beef, lettuce, various sauces and other ingredients I honestly couldn't name. Don't know what the dish was called either, sorry! (I uploaded a photo, however.) My dad thought it was ok. The beef was good in this dish. He also got tamarindo to drink, which was tasty. I really still don't know how to feel about this place...is this what all Honduran places are like? There were some things about it that shouted "we're new"...the warm, iceless water we were served, the too-loud mariachi music mingled with the occasional cut-in from Squidward and SpongeBob on the TV, the fact that the waitress hovered over us while we decided what to order and while we got out money to pay with (she was fine otherwise)...those elements were a little off-putting. But at the same time, the place also gave off some of the positive vibes of a great Latin American restaurant in the making: the signs plastered everywhere about their special soups and other dishes, the eclectic Honduran decor, the expansive menu...it was probably what I would define as a "hole in the wall." Give it a try! Like I said, I'm not entirely sure if we really ordered what we should have (didn't have enough time to pore over the menu ahead of time since we didn't know Sazon Catracho would be gone!), and in hindsight it probably wasn't a good idea to go to a restaurant with 0 reviews, 0 photos, and no menu...but hey, gotta take chances. And I think it worked out, just not like we were thinking it would. I wouldn't get the megabaleada. That's really my only major advice here.

Naturally, I pulled up the Yelp app to search for something open nearby for recommendations. Turns out Delicia is one of my friend's boyfriend's favorite restaurant in Broad Ripple. They both frequent the restaurants in that area as they live in the neighborhood so that's definitely saying something and I can see why based on the vibe and atmosphere! We were only there for drinks (which were amazing) and they were definitely worth making another trip for. I ordered the "Pulparindo" which is slightly spicy tamarind vodka, fresh mango puree, raw sugar simple, lime juice and a yummy tajin rim. I would have had more of it wasn't last call when we placed our order. Another popular choice was the "FIRE 'N' Ice" made with el charro jalapeño infused reposado tequila, hibiscus I basil I habanero reduction, tres chiles infused ice ball. Beautiful presentation with all the drinks. Our waitress was great and attentive. I also really liked how I felt instantly in a better mood in that space and I will be going back again for dinner soon.

Had the Caribbean tuna, carnitas, enchilada and fish tacos. All dishes were delicious, only thing we could have wished for is some more flavor in the fish tacos and maybe some sauce to go with them. Then again, it's not an uncommon story unfortunately- large parts of the city forgotten in terms of economic development but then suddenly needed during times of campaigning. Had taken Keystone and then Rural Street to get here, and the potholes are not kind. But, we had this place on our list and were determined to make it here at least once. Tlaolli stood out for its vegan offerings. Plenty of vegan taco options, birria (an absolute rarity to see vegan birria), and torta. They offer soy chorizo, jackfruit, and king oyster mushrooms as protein options. The exterior is colorful, and inside there are seating options. We had gotten our food to go, so I cannot comment too much on the service. Had placed our order online, and the food was ready within the estimated time in the order. We ordered the vegan birria tacos ($17.99), the vegan torta ($10.99 base but added soy chorizo, which was $3.99), and the no-no-no taco ($5.99). Our total with fees was approximately $45. Tlaolli offers outdoor seating, so when the weather is nicer this would be a good place to come. Next to the East Washington IPL branch, Tlaolli has a colorful green exterior with neon signage. Food: The food was very good. The proteins were nicely seasoned and juicy. The highlight for me was the birria tacos and the consome. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed it. 10/10. This is a great local business in the area to support: offers a diverse menu of options with food that is comforting and tasty.
