The service of all the restaurants we visited over a 6 day period was the best here. Very attentive staff they went out of their way with order selections. The veggie sushi, squash spaghetti with prawns, cod and Abilene tower, Lamb with couscous and ensalda with goat cheese were all so flavorful and tasty Of course top this meal off with a bottle of Vino blanco and your mouth is left in heaven! Okay spot for dinner but for the price and lack of organization, I'd probably rather have tried somewhere else. At best, this was an unorganized restaurant with an overwhelmed waiter (one for the over 20 guests not at the bar), at worst, it is a tourist trap. Food (we had two of the specials- wok picante which had no detectable spice and baby calamari which were well done) was underwhelming. They had nicely seasoned and grilled steak, the saquets of cucumber and quinoa were great, and thick salmorejo with crumbled iberico ham and egg on top. I would have gotten a salad instead of the sauteed vegetables which had soy sauce on them and were a little too salty for my taste. The wines were cheap and good. We ate here 2 nights in a row. Service was great and so was the food. Our favorites were the roasted vegetables, shrimp tartar, beef and potatoes, and chicken curry. We can't say enough good things about this place, especially for the value. I'd recommend this place to any friend. read more

Our first experience with Spanish tapas -- and La Bartola exceeded our hopes. We ordered prawns in garlic sauce, served in a delightful cast iron little pot. The flavors were amazingly good. Our second tapa, lamb with coos coos, was tender and flavorful. The sangria had a very authentic 'bite'. We fell in love with this cozy bar/cafe. This place was delicious and so reasonably priced. You have the option of ordering dishes as tapas, 1/2 portions, or full portions. The pork cheek and cheese plate were especially delightful. My husband and I came here as our first stop of the night (we like to hop from spot to spot) but ended up coming back again at the end of the night because we couldn't get their tapas off our mind. This place is amazing! We tried going here for dinner (around 9 PM) and there was an hour wait. We went back the next day for lunch (around 4 PM) and was able to get seated right away. The staff was friendly, and the service was prompt. They were very attentive and accommodating. This was the first menu I've seen with vegetarian options that were clearly marked as vegetarian. I was SO happy! I've been in Spain for 7 days so far and I've been so sick of eating the same tapas every day for lunch and dinner. Every restaurant that wasn't touristy had the same vegetarian tapas and I was so tired of eating the same dishes. I ordered the stuffed zucchini & didn't think it was that great though. But I had the vegetable tempura sushi & it was amazingly delicious! Probably the best vegetable tempura sushi I've ever had. I ended up ordering another one and my meat-eating friends ended up ordering one themselves. All my friends are huge meat eaters & they loved every meat & seafood dish they ordered. Please please please come visit La Bartola if you're ever in Seville! This tapas bar has been one of the best we have visited on our trip to Spain for sure. The tapas portions are quite generous and very well priced... almost on the cheaper end in fact. We comfortably had six tapas, one main dish, and two sangrias all for 40 euros. The place is a bit small and squished together, but that meant nothing to us considering the great food and service. We also only waited five minutes to be seated when arriving during the heat of dinner hour. Please stop by here if you're looking for a tapas bar with a fun buzz and quality dinner. read more

Omg! I been to about 5 tapas bars in Seville during my stay and so far this is the best tapas I ever had. Lets start with the ingredients. The veegies are very fresh and the mear and eapecially the squid is fresh as well. This place has a little fusion of a little asian and italian i think. The cost is more than your budget tapas place like bordega santa cruz which i do recommend for good and cheap tapas. The portions here are good and the ingredients is by far the freshest of any tapas bar I have been to. If you want quality food that tastes good look no further. I been here four times in three days and even twice in one day so I had an opportunity to try most of the dishes. One thing with tapas bars in Seville is that yhey almost always make a mistake so check your bill. read more

This restaurant is a gem! Casual dining at its best! Salmon with beet sauce, eggplant, tomato, olive salad, and calamari dishes were delicious! The ceviche was just ok. Very little shrimp in it. I can't say I've ever had bad calamari, but theirs was among the best I've tasted, particularly if you like a touch of seasoning in it. The staff were attentive and friendly. No outdoor seating if that is what you prefer. If we had more time here, we would definitely come back! They offered tapas, half potion and full portion for many dishes. Authentic and casual, you can expect tasty and well presented dishes and a comfortable interior. The zucchini dumplings were beautiful and the cauliflower and cod dumplings were fun, though for all I could turn up the flavour! As with most of Seville (and from a Canadian lens) the alcohol was inexpensive, and the pours were generous. Tip: Try to go before 8:30 to avoid waiting in line. Also consider sitting at the bar where the service was awesome and the vibe is chill. You'll be in front of the fan there too ;) read more
