    Valencian Paella
    Jackson H.

We went to Gusto for lunch and had a great time there. We ordered the Valencian Paella which is the more traditional version with rabbit and chicken. We had to wait for about 30 minutes because it is made fresh but it was definitely worth the wait. The service was also very good and we received table side service after the paella was ready where the waiter filled our plate with the food from the paella pan for us. Overall I would recommend this place for lunch especially if you enjoy paella.

Delicious paella, great breakfast. Friendly staff despite always being busy. We had lunch one day and breakfast three others. Loved everything. The croissants are amazing.

When we landed in Seville - there were two things we absolutely needed to try. Paella and sangria, and Gusto provided both, and they did not disappoint. The Paella here also takes roughly 35-40 minutes to cook, so please be aware if you're really hungry. Both the paella AND the shrimp carpaccio potato salad dish we had were amazing, and with a whole liter of sangria to guzzle down, it made our first night in Seville so memorable. They have plenty of room inside with a nice modern flair, and if you'd like to sit outside, they have misters to accommodate hot weather.

I loved this restaurant! The paella mixta was so flavorful and delicious and the service was amazing! Our server Valena was very nice and made our experience comfortable! The ambiance was also great and we sat on the patio which was wonderful!

Seafood Paella (we asked them to add butifarra sausage and they did-- you should too!) Soooo good!

Excellent paella! If you're in the Santa Cruz neighborhood in Seville, this is the place to go for paella. It's right next to the cathedral and Giralda, but be sure to make a reservation online or you may not get in at busier times. There aren't many tables inside. While the paella was the best we had in Seville, don't bother ordering dessert. We had the carrot cake and the lemon tart and they were both average at best. Also, skip the sangria here and go for wine instead. The sangria wasn't memorable and the selection of wine and beer is good. Service was also very good-- all the servers we interacted with spoke English well.

We made reservations and missed the mark of 15 minutes due to traffic. We got a table outside regardless so that was cool. Service was ok nothing to brag about. You don't really have a server. It took 30 minutes to get a wine glass but the food was great! Squid in rice was so creamy and delicious. It took an hour and a few minutes to make as they are busy. Outside there were musicians walking around trying to make a buck or two. But gives you a sense of their culture here. Wine was great food was awesome don't expect too much for service.

Overpriced and not that good. The location is good so if you can get a reservation to sit outside that would be the best part. We got sangria which was decent and a Campri (spelling?). The Campri was the most disgusting drink we have ever had. Like worse than everclear and fourlocos mixed together. The croquet was pretty good - that was the best thing we had. The paella was not horrible and it had a lot of meat, but it was SO overpriced. We have gotten paella 10x as good for half the price. We ate at several other places with great outdoor seating, better prices and better drinks.

Probably the busiest restaurant in the Cathedral. Very touristy but the food us solid. They serve American style breakfast, scrambled eggs, croissants, jamon, early, then close breakfast at 12 and reopen for lunch at 1:30. So if you arrive between 12 and 1pm, you won't be seated for breakfast but have to wait till 1:30 for lunch. We've eaten here twice, once for late lunch and for breakfast and no complaints about the dishes. Nothing spectacular, but pretty good for a tourist restaurant. This is Spain, where coffee and OJ is always excellent.

We ordered their roasted lamb with cous cous, garlic shrimp croquetta (that was the croquetta of the day), pork cheek stew with potato purée and the chocolate panna cotta for dessert. We also ordered their sangria and tinto de verano. Every dish we ordered was AMAZING - tasty flavorful well seasoned melt in your mouth meat bursting with flavors. We devoured every bite and it was hard to pick a favorite. Both the lamb and pork dishes were 11/10. Not just the taste but the presentation of every tapa was fantastic. Their drinks were also great. The dessert was to die for. This place is super packed during peak dinner hours and there is barely any room to stand. Since we walked in around 11pm, we got a seat and were well taken care of all thru the night. Also noticed alot of veggie options on the menu which was great. Service was awesome ambience is chic. I am certain I am going to crave their tapas once I am back home. Highly highly recommend this place when in Seville.

To call this place rustic would probably capture…read moreit best, it's really probably more like a cafeteria or a school room at a very old school. Tables perhaps a bit close together, not terribly comfortable. Loud, busy. As far as the service, it was our impression that our waiter was the only person serving the 30 or so tables in their dining room. Suffice it to say the service was not fast and not good. Inexplicably, every time we ordered a Coke we were asked if we wanted a Coke Zero. If I wanted a Coke Zero I would have said the words Coke Zero. Even when I asked for another Coke, he again asked "Coke Zero?" It took next to forever to get the check, and forever to get a cappuccino. At one point I took it upon myself to point the waiter to a table behind us that had been desperately attempting to get his attention. This was all not good. As to the food. First, our fault for not knowing what tataki meant. We did not expect to receive salmon that was seared on the outside and raw on the inside. So that one is on us, although we also think the meal came tepid at best. The lamb on couscous was dry and tough. The pork cheek stew was actually pretty good if a bit gluey. The calamari was good. The sushi as they called it was average. What they called the tiramisu was more like a pudding with some liqueur and chocolate on the top, and a little bit of breadish stuff in the bottom. Not my idea of tiramisu, and probably not yours either. So we could not get too excited about these various dishes. But what was particularly frustrating and bizarre was that two people sitting across from us ordered food that looked absolutely delicious. So we got to sit there wondering why we didn't order what they ordered. They ordered a large beef dish with potatoes which is on the menu, and we think they ordered a large octopus meal although we are not sure. Everything they had looked better than anything we had. So it may be that we somehow just picked the wrong items. So it was a strangely frustrating meal. This place has good reviews and we expected good tasting food. Unfortunately it did not work out that way, and the ambience and service were negative contributing factors. I can't entirely write this place off, only because the food other diners received actually looked very good. But I don't think I would go there again.

I loved that I was only one person and did not get an eye roll for having to be seated at a table for 4 especially since it was so busy. My afternoon server, I forgot his name but he had blondish hair and slim, was just the nicest server you could hope for. The food was beyond amazing!! If you go make sure you get the bread (1€) it is a large roll that does not look much at first but was absolutely delicious. I was lucky enough though to get it hot out of the oven which was a game changer vs cold during my night visit. If you like sangrias they are made to order. I do not know the how the tasted but the lady beside me liked the first glass enough to order a second My favorite tapa was the sardine on a wafer like cracker. The spinach-chickpea dish is a local dish that I tried since it is a dish to have in Seville. It was way too much for one person but I did my best. The artichokes were good. The menu outside and the inner ambiance (and the fact that the place was mostly empty, so we could easily get a table) called to us, so we decided to check this place out. Let it be known that a mostly empty restaurant does not mean the food will be so-so! My husband and I agreed that this place has the BEST pizza we've had anywhere! It's light, flavorful, thin and crispy, and just down-right delicious! Ostia Antica has a menu that has English descriptions, making it foreigner-friendly if you don't speak or read Spanish, and a ton of vegetarian and allergy friendly options (they have allergies listed out next to each dish on the menu). I ordered the pizza vegetal (vegetable pizza), which was vegetarian and awesome (with or without the chili oil- which I would recommend if you want to add heat/spice to your food) and my husband (not vegetarian) got the pizza iberica (recommended to him by our waitress). He said his pizza was super flavorful and amazing. The ambiance is quiet (probably because there were only a few other couples there) and cool. They also played a good music selection that added to the "chill" vibe. Finally, the waitstaff was amazing. They were really attentive, switched to English when they noticed us struggling with our Spanish, and were so nice (and funny!). We'll definitely be going back and would highly recommend this place!
