    Lomo de Merluza, tapa

Omg!!! We were in line for La Brunilda , it was 1 hour waiting. Then they suggested to go to their sister restaurant La Bartolomea, sane chef similar menu. The only thing I am going to say is OMG!! Love the Risotto de Idiazanal...so very perfectly creamy and rich. The lomo de merluza and solomillo de ternera were spectacular. One of the best restaurants we tried in Sevilla. And we tried quiet a few , we were there for 8 days.

Took hometowner, Jim R.'s, advice to come here for dinner. They were extremely busy and squeezed us in at the last table before creating a wait list. Tried 5 tapas, then dessert. First, the burrata, which, as Jim R. said, was excellent. Bursting with earthy-herby flavor, I could have eaten just this for my whole meal, and would have left 5-star happy right there. Extremely good! The cream of asparagus soup was also amazing. Again, could have eaten just that and would have been super-satisfied. I am not a huge croquette fan, but the croquetas del dia were well-executed in that they weren't dry or bland as can easily happen with croquettes. My husband had the salmon with saffron artichokes and was very happy. Great medley of flavors, and the sauce had a perfect taste and texture for the kind of fleshy taste of salmon. My duck was a little too rare for me (due to medical restrictions requiring me to have things fully cooked right now), but otherwise good. A small detail, but I appreciated that the bok choy was cooked nicely, so that I was able to eat it without a lot of that roughage residue you normally get with bok choy. Desserts were great too. My husband had a special, banana cake with caramel and cream all over it, which he loved. I had a creamy mousse, another special, and it was divine! Total for all this was just over 40€. My only complaint is that our server seemed tense and preoccupied, due to all the chaos of a full dining room and wait list. She was friendly at first, but soon got distressed by the demands of all her tables, and wasn't seasoned at how to handle it. We felt a little rushed out at the end, so they could turn over the table for the next party on the list. All in all, amazing food, and a great value for the swanky part of Seville.

This is a great place for a family. Server Mercedes was very nice and patient. The hamburgers are perfect for kids. The salmon and the cajun chicken was spectacular. If you order the beef, please note their medium is really what we are used to as rare in the USA. Really nice clean place.

So incredible delicious. sister store of La Brunilda. Food is as exceptional here as there. Ceviche and the salmon was the best I've had in Sevilla.

Such a great place. The sangria is on point and so are the tapas. The warm chicken salad was my favorite. Refreshing and delicious.

We ordered their roasted lamb with cous cous, garlic shrimp croquetta (that was the croquetta of the day), pork cheek stew with potato purée and the chocolate panna cotta for dessert. We also ordered their sangria and tinto de verano. Every dish we ordered was AMAZING - tasty flavorful well seasoned melt in your mouth meat bursting with flavors. We devoured every bite and it was hard to pick a favorite. Both the lamb and pork dishes were 11/10. Not just the taste but the presentation of every tapa was fantastic. Their drinks were also great. The dessert was to die for. This place is super packed during peak dinner hours and there is barely any room to stand. Since we walked in around 11pm, we got a seat and were well taken care of all thru the night. Also noticed alot of veggie options on the menu which was great. Service was awesome ambience is chic. I am certain I am going to crave their tapas once I am back home. Highly highly recommend this place when in Seville.

Where do I begin? Let's talk about the ambience. To call this place rustic would probably capture…read moreit best, it's really probably more like a cafeteria or a school room at a very old school. Tables perhaps a bit close together, not terribly comfortable. Loud, busy. As far as the service, it was our impression that our waiter was the only person serving the 30 or so tables in their dining room. Suffice it to say the service was not fast and not good. Inexplicably, every time we ordered a Coke we were asked if we wanted a Coke Zero. If I wanted a Coke Zero I would have said the words Coke Zero. Even when I asked for another Coke, he again asked "Coke Zero?" It took next to forever to get the check, and forever to get a cappuccino. At one point I took it upon myself to point the waiter to a table behind us that had been desperately attempting to get his attention. This was all not good. As to the food. First, our fault for not knowing what tataki meant. We did not expect to receive salmon that was seared on the outside and raw on the inside. So that one is on us, although we also think the meal came tepid at best. The lamb on couscous was dry and tough. The pork cheek stew was actually pretty good if a bit gluey. The calamari was good. The sushi as they called it was average. What they called the tiramisu was more like a pudding with some liqueur and chocolate on the top, and a little bit of breadish stuff in the bottom. Not my idea of tiramisu, and probably not yours either. So we could not get too excited about these various dishes. But what was particularly frustrating and bizarre was that two people sitting across from us ordered food that looked absolutely delicious. So we got to sit there wondering why we didn't order what they ordered. They ordered a large beef dish with potatoes which is on the menu, and we think they ordered a large octopus meal although we are not sure. Everything they had looked better than anything we had. So it may be that we somehow just picked the wrong items. So it was a strangely frustrating meal. This place has good reviews and we expected good tasting food. Unfortunately it did not work out that way, and the ambience and service were negative contributing factors. I can't entirely write this place off, only because the food other diners received actually looked very good. But I don't think I would go there again.

The layout can be a bit confusing, as the restaurant seems to have three dining rooms with separate entrances but only one kitchen. Where we sat was charming, with stone walls and wood-beamed ceilings. We started with the foie appetizer, which was a delightful surprise for my palate. It was a unique combination of foie, cream cheese, and what I believe was pear. It was unusual, but I ended up really enjoying it. The zucchini noodles with pesto and burrata were also very enjoyable. However, the star of our dinner was the 40 day dry aged ribeye, cooked perfectly medium-rare, tender, and absolutely delicious. If we had discovered it sooner, I would have happily eaten here a second time.

The star was obviously the 100-day aged steak. It was done to perfection. Absolutely delicious with a little bit of funk. And my grandpa was a cattle rancher so I've had quite a bit of steak in my life. 9.5/10 The pumpkin dish was also exceptional. 9/10 The risotto was the perfect compliment. Wow. Great texture and flavor. 9/10 The croquettes were good, I didn't like the mayo on top. 8/10 The dessert that was essentially a bread pudding was absolutely delicious.i barely tried the orange dessert but it tasted like a Pillsbury orange cinnamon roll. Dessert and service were 10/10
