    Store front was very welcoming!

In passing by this restaurant on a walk in the neighborhood, it looked inviting and welcoming, with its lights and holiday cheer. It didn't disappoint when we decided to stop by for dinner. We were seated right away by a very pleasant gentleman with a warm and genuine smile. The menu had a good selection of non-pasta options, Like swordfish and beef, that looked very appealing. We ordered a salad, pasta pomodoro, meatballs in red sauce and beef with rosemary. The salad was colorful and fresh with various lettuces, corn, olives and fresh tomatoes. The pasta was perfectly cooked, not so "al dente" that it was chewy, and went down easily. The beef was a nice medium cooked steak that was buttery. It was not as trimmed as a cut I might get back home, but the flavor was there! The meatballs were nicely arranged in a pool of sauce with bread arranged around the bowl. My son had no problem enjoying them. Overall, a good meal and possibly worth a trip back to test out some of their other dishes

My first lunch in Rome didn't disappoint! Restaurant with outside dining along a busy road.. staff was so friendly and engaging. Immediately greeted and served drinks. Birra media... my new favorite saying medium beer. Ice colder .... Mmmmmm I went with a Margherita pizza, it's super thin and so fresh, lol s of flavor in this baby. Loved the outside area. Very small bathroom on site.

Found this place while walking down the street. Food was awesome, nuff said! But I do recommend the dishes with homemade egg noodles.

We ate here twice on our visit to Rome. First visit was just my husband and I popping in without a reservation. She quickly sat us at a table by the window and brought our drinks without pause. We had mozzarella and prosciutto for appetizer. The size was perfect for two and everything was so fresh! We then split the pasta carbonara which was fabulous. The chef split it to two bowls (nice touch) and flavored perfectly with just the right amount of sauce. Don't miss the tiramisu for dessert. It is untraditionally served in a mug, which gave me pause. However, it too was fresh and every bite had all the flavors together. Perfect! The cost was not too bad either, it was 75€ for appetizer, meal, 4 drinks, dessert and grappa. The second visit was with 8 of us - service was still great and food was again fabulous!

Although the restaurant only had two other parties, we decided to give this place a try. Considering how heavy pasta and pizza is, the three of us shared the Capricciosa Pizza (€9.50) and Spaghetti Carbonara (€9.50) with a bottle of Mineral Water (€2.00). This was the perfect amount for us with no leftovers. The pizza was pretty plain topped with two slices of prosciutto, a few mushroom and olive bites, and one piece of artichoke. Honestly, it was pretty much a cheese pizza. Despite that, the flavor was still good and the crust was thin and crispy. I actually enjoyed the crust most while dipping it into the balsamic vinegar. As for the carbonara, it was more creamy than one I had the night before, so that was a plus. Although still nothing special, but good. Overall, it's just another Italian restaurant along the street of Rome. It's not bad, but not that great either.

Out hotel recommended we come over to this area, as it has great food and attracts the locals. My fella was hoping for more traditional pasta and rejected the specific restaurant recos because he didn't like their more modern menus. So, we rounded the block and found this place. Very disappointed. The pastas weren't great. The veal was so tough I had one bite and rejected it. The patio was right on a busy street next to the metro- not a relaxing spot to eat. My recommendation, walk yourself down the metro steps and hit the next street over for food. All restaurants on that strip looked amazing! We missed out trying to get our last good traditional pasta on our last night in Italy.

This was our last night in Rome and hands down the best dinner we had. Flavorful. The lemon chicken was outstanding. My pasta was very flavorful. My husband enjoyed his lasagna as well. I got the roast chicken leg as well. Cooked perfectly. All staff was kind and not at all pushy like some places. If we were here another night we would go back

Linguini Pesto Chicken (comes with shrimp, but I asked to substitute.) It was amazing!!!

It's a comfy place to eat. The waiters are nice and fast. The carbonara is rich and thick. The pasta al dente perfectly. The pancetta pieces are salty and fatty. It's a heavy meal but it is delicious. The burrata is perfect to share and delicious.

When we arrived on a late afternoon, we waited about 10 minutes before getting seated. To start off, we got the Limoncello Spritz (€10) and Aperol Spritz (€10), which were refreshing. For our pasta, we ordered the Fettuccine with Oxtail (€18) and Carbonara (€17). We also wanted to order two more Secondi dishes, but the waiter warned us that the pasta is filling. After we finished the pasta, we did still order the Rabbit (€19) because it wasn't something we usually see on the menu. For the carbonara, the flavor was delicious but not really my favorite pasta shape. It was also quite al dente with a chewy texture. I have to say that the oxtail was spectacular though with its juicy and tender meat sauce. While the rabbit was nice to try once, it was a bit dry with minimal meat. Overall, good spot but nothing worth waiting too long for. Also, I'd stick to the pasta here as it's all handmade. You even see them handrolling them inside. Note that they also charge €2 per person for service fee already.

Our hotel manager had suggested another restaurant, but I was apprehensive to try, but did later, more on that restaurant review in it's own post. I rather did what I should have done throughout the trip to, which is to search google for local reviews. This tactic I found to be much better than to trust American reviews for restaurants to visit from Youtube or even here, just because the American touristy taste tends to favor bland or Olive Garden style pseudo Italian. The real Italian taste is much different and something one needs to develop. I was familiar with European Italian food, as I had said before in other reviews that Mexico has better Italian food outside of Italy. Additionally, the good restaurants here in Italy do not open before 7 PM. If it does or if someone that looks foreign to Italy is outside trying to lure you in, it's a tourist restaurant with iffy flavor. At this restaurant my husband had the Lobster pasta and I had the spinach/ricotta ravioli, and we both were beyond satisfied. We also had the artichoke as an appetizer, and trusted the waiter with his suggestion for a bottle of wine. He must have been some genius because the wine went well with our meal. The ambience was cozy and very family oriented, however, the rain outside made it romantic for us. Another key point for this restaurant and it traditional flare was that they brought out the olive oil and red vinegar for our salad and of course olive oil for our wonderful home-made bread. I'm so glad we chose this place for those of us Americans who understand culinary cuisine.

Great first meal in Rome!…read more I loved my artichoke pasta dish with bacon, it was a daily special. The amaretto dessert was delicious! Carbonara was super al dente. Seafood risotto was fresh. Grilled radicchio was like stir fried. Dinner for 3 for 77 euros, impressively busy for a Tuesday night. Friendly staff, easy for English speakers. :)
