While spending time around the Spanish Steps and Trevj fountain, I referred to Yelp for a good dinner option and Yelp did not disappoint. We arrived around 8:15pm to a quiet little area only a block from Trevi fountain. We were seated right away, coke drinks were served quickly, as well as the food. The gnocchi was delicious! Chewy little puffs of cheesy potato pasta. The kids loved the pizza and the salad had a very light dressing. One of our favorite things was the balsamic vinegar served with the bread. It was thick, almost like a syrup. Perfect flavor of sweet and acidic. Servers were very friendly and the bathroom was super clean as well! read more

Interesting to read such positive reviews of this place because my experience was HORRIBLE. We were only there to have an evening drink and a rest after seeing the Trevi fountain. We sat inside because that's all they had but luckily there was a spot with a breeze. As we were walking up to our table a group beside us was complaining about watered down alcoholic drink (should've been our sign to go). When they waitress came to take our order she found an attitude over us only ordering alcoholic drinks. We had one strawberry mojito each & wanted another because they were delicious but instead the waitress brought our check without us asking for it. This was my favorite restaurant in Rome! If you're in Rome, especially near the Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon, I would stop by this place. It's not directly in the tourist area which is nice that it's not insanely crowded. Lots of local Italians were also dining here so I knew it had to be good. This was not one of our best meals in Rome. So far, that was at another place- which was at least 2 times better than this one. My Carbonara was chewy- not "al dente" but "all raw-y". And it wasn't very tasty. I love Carbonara, but this was not a winner. My husband, on the other hand, was fairly pleased with his pizza- which had a half an egg, a few olives, a piece of ham and some cheese. He said it was a little doughy- but acceptable. The house wine is decent- not great, but ok- and certainly fairly priced at 6 euros for a small bottle (1/2 L?). The location is very good and very pretty- there's a very interesting walk through building next door. It's all painted, and is quite attractive. The waitstaff is helpful- though they constantly seemed to be confused about which table was getting which food. So that was weird. If you're really hungry, and you're near the Trevi- you could go here. But if you can wait, try somewhere else. (Some of the best places have lines out the door...) read more

One the best meals we had in Rome! We came here on our first night and were very pleased. For wine we ordered chianti classic and were very happy with it! It was a delicious red wine. For starters we ordered the prosciutto with melon. My mom loved the salty and sweet flavors. They gave us some crusty bread to nibble on as well. For dinner, I had the lasagna, my mom had the spinach and ricotta raviolis and my dad had penne arrabbiata. The lasagna was made with bechamel sauce and WOW was it good! The best lasagna I've ever had! Easily! The raviolis were pretty good, not amazing. And my dad really enjoyed the penne. For dessert we had two shots of their limoncello and it was delicious! The best limoncello I've ever had. This restaurant is excellent! They have such a large menu with great prices. It was a great way to start our trip in Rome. read more

We walked here after touring the Colosseum and Forum. When we sat outside there were very few people but as we waited to order all the tables filled. We ordered appetizers and drinks first and then decided on 2 pizzas and a calzone to split between 4 hungry tourists. They spoke fluent English. The thin crust pizza was good as was the calzone. On my first visit, I ordered Lasagne alla Bolognese. I was not a fan. The pasta was overcooked. The only reason I returned is because my boyfriend swears by the Fettuccine alla Bolognese which is made with handmade pasta. On the second visit, I ordered Fettuccine ai funghi porcini (handmade pasta with porcini mushrooms). This dish was much better. Overall this restaurant is a nice choice. The dishes are simple. It is tucked away, but still close to major sites. The servers are friendly, and there is a lot more room than other popular restaurants in the area. read more

This was probably one of my least favorite pastas in Italy. We came here after visiting the Catholic North American Pontifical College (to pick up Easter Mass tickets). There were not too many people at the restaurant around 1PM on a Thursday, even though Trevi Fountain was packed. I suppose this speaks volumes. The patio had about 8 tables worth of business, and we were the only table inside the restaurant. The waitress spoke a little bit of English, which was helpful. I ordered the gnocchi, thinking it'd come with four different sauces (menu lists all four), but you actually only pick one of the four. I chose the bolognese. I thought the sauce was extremely salty, and my mother said the same about her dish (spaghetti all'amatriciana). Frankly, I have made better and eaten a tastier version at a USA restaurant. Thus, my rating is two stars for experiencing better. The gnocchi itself was good, but I would skip the bolognese sauce. My dad ate the carbonara, and that was much better. I probably would have given at least 3 stars if I'd chosen that. The best carbonara I've eaten is at a restaurant in Portland, OR. Service was decent. The food arrived at the appropriate time, although we had to wait a bit for the waitress to come back to ask for a bill. I suppose being next to a tourist spot, this is not the best place to eat, but we were hungry. Next time, I'll try another restaurant! read more

The service was terrible. The food was terrible. Every time we said it couldn't get worse let's make the best of it, it got worse. Do not get the lamb, do not get the shrimp pasta, do not get the ravioli spinach. It was truly a disappointment especially because we always ask before we order to make sure we are ordering the right pasta/dish and the waiter said yes exactly and assured us it was the white sauce, shrimp, tomatoes, and zucchini on the pasta and when the meal came out he acted like he didn't even know what white sauce was when he was the one that said it before we ordered. We asked what exactly is on this pasta, what sauce, etc. This was truly a disappointment and ruined the mood of the first night in Rome after being in Florence. Our servicer actually forgot our lamb and brought us the check until we reminded him. Also, the bread is 2 euros, which our waiter NEVER disclosed, which is fine when the meal is decent but when it's one thing after the next it's just rude. I will never come back here, and I hope this restaurant gets the message and becomes better. One party escaped before ordering, and I wish we did the same.
