Gnocchi Caico e Pepe, margarita pizza, Insalata pollo

While spending time around the Spanish Steps and Trevj fountain, I referred to Yelp for a good dinner option and Yelp did not disappoint. We arrived around 8:15pm to a quiet little area only a block from Trevi fountain. We were seated right away, coke drinks were served quickly, as well as the food. The gnocchi was delicious! Chewy little puffs of cheesy potato pasta. The kids loved the pizza and the salad had a very light dressing. One of our favorite things was the balsamic vinegar served with the bread. It was thick, almost like a syrup. Perfect flavor of sweet and acidic. Servers were very friendly and the bathroom was super clean as well!

Cacio e Pepe

Came here on my own on the search for some good cacio e pepe and it was probably the best pasta dish I've had during my trip to Italy. So much flavor but not too salty and the pasta was al dente! Even the presentation was pretty. Amazing food and good service, too.

One the best meals we had in Rome! We came here on our first night and were very pleased. For wine we ordered chianti classic and were very happy with it! It was a delicious red wine. For starters we ordered the prosciutto with melon. My mom loved the salty and sweet flavors. They gave us some crusty bread to nibble on as well. For dinner, I had the lasagna, my mom had the spinach and ricotta raviolis and my dad had penne arrabbiata. The lasagna was made with bechamel sauce and WOW was it good! The best lasagna I've ever had! Easily! The raviolis were pretty good, not amazing. And my dad really enjoyed the penne. For dessert we had two shots of their limoncello and it was delicious! The best limoncello I've ever had. This restaurant is excellent! They have such a large menu with great prices. It was a great way to start our trip in Rome.

We walked here after touring the Colosseum and Forum. When we sat outside there were very few people but as we waited to order all the tables filled. We ordered appetizers and drinks first and then decided on 2 pizzas and a calzone to split between 4 hungry tourists. They spoke fluent English. The thin crust pizza was good as was the calzone. It was a great lunch and we recommend.

This meal was out of this world, best meal we had in Rome. I had this restaurant as a maybe on my list, but we happened to pass by it right around lunch time. Their cacio e pepe plate is the best pasta I have ever had. My husband had a seafood pasta and it was excellent. So was the pasta Bolognase and the Margherita pizza. Highly recommended. Service was excellent Bathroom was clean

Ambiance is very friendly. Our waiter Aldo was the best. Food was wonderful. Quick service and great food!

Fettuccine alla Bolognese

On my first visit, I ordered Lasagne alla Bolognese. I was not a fan. The pasta was overcooked. The only reason I returned is because my boyfriend swears by the Fettuccine alla Bolognese which is made with handmade pasta. On the second visit, I ordered Fettuccine ai funghi porcini (handmade pasta with porcini mushrooms). This dish was much better. Overall this restaurant is a nice choice. The dishes are simple. It is tucked away, but still close to major sites. The servers are friendly, and there is a lot more room than other popular restaurants in the area.

Pizza Frutti di Mare

This place serves an awesome Pizza Frutti di Mare. It's so fresh and the pizza crust has the perfect thickness. The Tiramisu is also good but not the best I got in Rome. Service is nice and meals get served quickly. Highly recommended!

Great food. Stopped in for lunch and had several great meals. The Veal and Eggplant was great.

Hands down best food in Rome. And the best service. Our waiter Aldo made our day. Funny, kind and very helpful when it comes choosing the right and best wine and best food on the menu. Apart from food which was phenomenal, Aldo was the highlight. Thank you so much for making our first day in Rome so special.

Skip this place. Bad food and overcharges. If you must, get pizza maybe. But why? Just because this is bit convenient?

The pizza was good as was the creme brûlée. The 1/2 bottle of wine was very small. 10% service charge! The restaurant was not that good.

By the time we were seated, dozens of people were waiting behind us. We sipped an Aperol spritz and lemonade while we waited, chatting with fellow diners who raved about the restaurant. On a sweltering day, our kids were starting to struggle in the heat when the owner came outside and gave them mini pizzas breads. It was a thoughtful gesture that immediately made us feel welcome. Once seated, we ordered burrata, cacio e pepe, amatriciana pasta, pork chops, and fried artichokes. Everything was excellent, but the amatriciana was the standout--rich, savory, and unforgettable. The cacio e pepe was silky, the burrata fresh and creamy, the pork chops juicy, and the fried artichokes perfectly crisp. There's a reason people line up for Da Enzo. The food is exceptional, the atmosphere lively, and the hospitality remarkable. Without question, this was our best meal in Rome and one of our most memorable restaurant experiences.

The tomatoes were fresh and juicy but the burrata was a bit thick (referring to the outer aspect). Also the bread was a bit tough. The amatriciana was good, but not worth a 2 hour wait in a line, 7.5/10. Pasta was perfectly al dente, but the sauce wasn't anything to die for. I think you can get a very similar possibly better pasta in Rome without the wait. My girlfriend got the gnocchi pasta, which she said was a 7/10. The gnocchi was great, but again the sauce wasn't anything special Tiramisu, 10/10. This was amazing. It was sweet without being overpowering. The ladyfingers weren't soggy, and had that strong espresso taste. I would come back here just for this dessert. Also if you don't like cramped spaces, probably not the best spot. I could hear the people next to me better than I could hear the person across me haha.

Even though there was a bit of a wait, it was absolutely worth it once we were seated. The staff was friendly and attentive despite how busy the restaurant was. You could tell they were working hard to make sure everyone had a good experience.

We chose this restaurant because of its outstanding trip advisor rating (4.8 stars with over 4,000…read morereviews), so we were expecting an amazing meal. Unfortunately, it ended up being one of the most disappointing meals of our trip to Rome. I want to start by saying the staff was wonderful--everyone was incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive. We have absolutely no complaints about the service. The food, however, was very underwhelming. The Margherita pizza was undercooked, with dough that was still soft and not fully baked. The chicken dish tasted more like a simple stew and lacked flavor, and the lasagna was just average. Another red flag was that all of our food arrived within about five minutes of ordering, which made it seem like everything had been pre-made rather than freshly prepared. We rarely leave negative reviews, especially when the staff is so friendly, but we chose this restaurant specifically because of its exceptional reviews. I think it's only fair to share our honest experience so other travelers have realistic expectations. While the service was excellent, the food simply didn't live up to the reputation.

It was a positive Yelp review that lured us to choose this restaurant for our first night meal…read moreafter traveling from USA. So, I felt that I owed a review of my own in appreciation. Being new to Rome, and having walked 20k steps on our first day, there are an abundance of options a for dining. We wanted something classically Rome nearby to our hotel. The Yelp review of this restaurant was sufficiently positive to entice us. Being American, we appreciate the earlier-than-customary dining options. We arrived at 6pm without a reservation. We were seated immediately. The restaurant is intimate and very well staffed. The wood fire oven is front-and-center and the fresh mozzarella is prominent in display. We ordered a bottle of wine ... all options are very fairly priced. This is nice. We started with a Greek salad to share. It was unlike any American Greek salad ... and a really delight. It is early June but the tomatoes and peppers were ripe and crisp and really fresh. My wife ordered the Marguerite pizza; I opted for the Gorgonzola pizza (the effusive review on Yelp was compelling). Both were solid. We appreciate the thin crust and the crisp edged. The center of both, however, was doughy and somewhat undercooked. Looking around ... the restaurant was over 50% full even at this early hour. Most were Americans. We saw a good number of diners with pasta dishes ... and none were left unfinished. Sadly, we don't have any comparisons to weigh (yet). So, I cannot affirm any "best of" citations, it this is certainly a solid trattoria/pizzeria. The staff are attentive and the food served hot and fresh.

Super pizza place with a lot of other great stuff on the menu…read more I looked with envy at the other tables who were enjoying spectacular plates of spaghetti with mussels. * * * That said, my pizza was a grand slam home run. Many of their pizzas are quite elaborate With all sorts of exotic ingredients. I went super simple. Gorgonzola. Mozzarella. That's it. Just enough Mozzarella to cut the Gorgonzola and make for a good melt. * * * If you have never had a gorgonzola pizza, you have never lived. Just sayin'. * * * P.S. My lovely wife got a Norwegian salmon pizza. The Norwegian salmon was stacked up high on her pizza As if she was in the World Series of Poker and she was a big winner. I have never seen so much salmon on one plate. After our meal, I made a discreet phone call to the Norwegian embassy in Rome asking them if they still had any salmon left. The woman at the embassy assured me the Norwegian salmon supply was fine. That surprises me given all the salmon that was on my wife's pizza.
