    Cherry pavlova

Found this little gem on Butte Montmartre. It does not look like much from the outside as it has no outdoor seating. The place is pretty small, probably not more than 30 seats. The staff is very friendly and super attentive. The menu has a limited number of items but with enough variety to please most everyone. I had the foie gras appetizer, which was awesome, and nicely paired with a nice white wine from Gascogne, a gros manseng- sauvignon blend, recommended by the server. As a main course I had the duck breast which was perfectly cooked and served on an eggplant purée with some delicious garlic mashed potato balls. I took the desert of the day, which was a delicious cherry pavlova, a light meringue based desert, which was brought to life by the crushed cherries. The service was fantastic. The server was pleasant, attentive anon the ball. I even thought he was the owner of the place, but it turns out that the owner is the chef in the kitchen. This place does everything well.

The food was fantastic! The service was some of the best we experienced while in Paris. Definitely someplace we will return to.

What a fantastic meal! Their 3 course prix fixe for 39E is a great deal! Everything we had was beautifully prepared and presented. The service was wonderful and the host was fine with speaking English with us.

Found L'Annexe while wandering the neighborhood hoping to find solid French cuisine. We couldn't have been more pleased. One of our party has a decent ear for french, excellent pronunciation and a solid dining vocabulary, but the hostess spoke beautiful English, as did the servers which is handy to note for fellow travelers! My beef bourguignon lunch special was SO good, one of my friends ordered it at a fancier place we visited later in the trip and it was nowhere near as good as mine was at L'Annexe. I would have preferred more carrots in mine, but seriously the broth was perfection, the meat texture struck the balance where it tore apart with a bit of effort using a fork - and the bread had that crunchy crust and light fluffy innards that soaked up the broth so good... my side was potatoes... done... some kind of fabulous french way that I didn't quite catch the name of, but said yes to on the recommendation of the hostess walking by. We also didn't feel rushed but didn't have to linger too long waiting to ask for the check - we were checked in on regularly and felt the meal was the perfect speed for a lunch to rest the legs a short while before heading back out to enjoy what the city had to offer. It was a bit too chilly to sit outside that day for us but the seating looked adorable, and we would've if we hadn't spent so much time atop the windy hill at Sacre Coeur first... Clean bathrooms down a bit of a steep stairway in the basement (might be a bit difficult for anyone with mobility issues) but that fits right in with Sacre Coeur's hills and steep inclines just fine... Would definitely recommend, as there were a few options out of our price range that we could smell as other patrons ordered that they seemed exceptionally pleased with!

An excellent dinner spot in Paris that deserves more attention and a closer look for visitors to the city. We dined here on Valentines Day and had a lovely experience with the chef even stepping out of the kitchen on more than one occasion to ask about the food. The prix fix menu offers a nice variety of options across all three courses and comes in at a reasonable price for a high quality meal. We had the creamed cauliflower and gravlax appetizers and loved both, the cauliflower came prepared in a really interesting and unique texture and the salmon had just the right Asian influence with sesame oil and ponzu. For our entrees, we chose the duck breast and a fish in curry style sauce with noodles, both of which were divine. The desserts were great, with the caramel finger being the standout dish. You can't go wrong here!

The service and food was over the top!!! My husband and I were so happy we found this place! We ordered a starter and main entree each, and shared the dessert. The waiters were the most nicest people who served us during our trip in France. They were able to speak English which made it easy to ask questions and order. We LOVED the duck breast with carrot puree that matched so well. The shrimp and celery ravioli was really good too. Every dish was delicate and well presented. With beers and wine, our bill came out to be 70-80 euros for the both of us. I would be recommending this place to my friends and would def be coming back when in Paris.

Wow, this is a hidden gem! Open kitchen to the small medium dining area and the two cooks/chefs are every bit as accessible to help discuss the menu and add regional authentic flavor. Superior preparation. It's hard to decide which restaurant to eat in in a place like Mont-Martre where there is so much superior cooking. But the way to know this is the next great place to eat is that they care about the diners and the food. Presentation and flavor explode wonderfully well here. Choose L'Annexe. You won't be sorry you did.

The food was amazing the staff was so nice. This place is worth going to. I'm not usually a fan of lamb but their lamb stew out of this world. Also their risotto was outstanding. If I ever go back to Paris I would go back to this place.

    Foie gras

A hidden gem in Paris. Amazing food and friendly service. We had a good time here. We love the foie gras with amazing apple sauce. Will come back again when visiting Paris next time.

The service we experienced was exactly what you want... our server had plenty of suggestions based on the offerings of the day. The service was attentive and responsive... not much more than you could ask for. I had the duck breast being offered... it was served alongside crispy potatoes, green beans, and a salad. Adding in the onion soup and a glass of wine... it quickly became a King's dinner at a very reasonable price. I would be more than happy to eat here again and look forward to exploring the rest of the menu offering many local and classic French options.

Like others have said, it's super small inside, so you'll get to know your neighbors really well. But your attention will be more focused on the food they bring out. I had the lamb with thyme sauce and my wife had the confit duck leg. Don't be afraid to pick the sauce of the day over the regular honey sauce. The sauce of the day on the day we went was a blackberry sauce which was crazy good. With a bottle of wine at 24 euros and both entrees under 20 euros, you couldn't really beat a meal of that quality in many places around Paris for that price. It was only after I ate at Le Potager did I see it had a bunch of great reviews on Yelp. It's definitely earned all those stars.

Making a reservation isn't hard but you do need to email them and there's no online booking system. You also have to confirm again 1-2 days before. I understand they are small with a limited number of tables so that's fair and it seemed like everyone showed up even though they don't require a deposit. On a Friday night, it didn't appear there was much chance or walking in although there were like 2 open seats at what would have been a shared table. The menu is small and includes some typical French starters, steaks, 3 non steak entrees, cheeses, and dessert. All steaks come with potatoes, 3 sauces, salad. Service was a highlight. The waiter was personable and funny, had solid recommendations, and made sure leftovers were taken home. Also had a solid wine recommendation after asking some questions. They probably get a lot of people who don't speak French and they had no problem speaking English. The food- ordered a ribeye medium rare. The steak was so so charred on the outside and it almost ruined the whole thing. I really wish they would have charred it way less especially when it was ordered medium rare. There is seared and then there is burnt; this was sadly the latter. The steak itself was fine, honestly nowhere near the best meat I have had but the price is quite reasonable for how much you get. I would say the steak was maybe 6/10 for me, largely due to the cooking. The fries were phenomenal. Definitely a highlight and really tasty and with a great texture. Salad was good, pretty typical. I wanted to like the sauces more but found them just okay. The best by far for me was the blue cheese sauce but even this one I thought the flavors could have popped a little more. Atmosphere was fun, there were a few bigger groups (6-8 which is the biggest they accommodate) but it never got unreasonably loud. Overall I wanted to love it but was a bit disappointed even though the service and fries were both great.

It's a tiny restaurant, so if you're a party of two, you might share a table with others, but they have spacers so you don't feel like you're eating together. Reservations were easy to make. You email in your requested sitting and someone will get back to you shortly. We were able to get in a little ahead of schedule and start the adventure. Wines were reasonably priced and they had a good variety of cocktails. We hadn't had French onion soup on our trip, so we ordered it as an appetizer. Sometimes it can get a little salty, but these were very well blended. Sacree Fleur seems to be known for their steak and frites, so we ordered the steak for two. Steak comes out on a sizzling platter. You can turn the pieces over to keep cooking until your preferred temperature. It was quite succulent and the fries were well prepared. There are two dipping sauces and some salt to season your meal. We hadn't a great time and way too much food :)

The menu looked nothing like the ones on this website and featured Italian food items, like spaghetti, arroz con pollo or mozarella. I asked him about frog legs or the onion soup.
