Brunch dishes... Eggs, salad, Madeleine, cookies, fruit, cheese, yogurt, amazing coffee, and apple juice.

Our trip to Europe could not have been any better! The Airbnb we stayed in recommended this fabulous brunch at Ma Biche. It was adorable place with all the Parisian charm. And the food was incredible. From eggs, salad, baguettes, fruit, yogurt, juice, coffee, then for the main course we got salmon encrusted baked dish, lastly desserts galore to choose from. The owner was so kind and attentive. Plus, since we are not used to eating that much food and struggling with the language barrier, he spoke English and accommodated us with a to go box so we could enjoy the rest of our food we couldn't eat. To be sure, this place will always represent Paris to me and my daughter.

My husband and I returned to Ma Biche after a wonderful meal back in 2019. It looks like they've had a change of hands recently, but the service and food were still great. The waitress was very attentive and made sure we were happy with our wine choices, giving us a taste of the selection of wines she had. The courgette creme brulee and the pumpkin "cappuccino" were lovely entrees that we also enjoyed the last time we were in Paris. For dinner we had the beef meatballs as well and the pork with gratin which were both very delicious and perfectly cooked. I could eat bowlfuls of that gratin, and the bread was fresh and good quality (perfect to mop up the sauce with!) We were glad to come back to this gem in Montmartre!

Probably the most forgettable and unremarkable diner we had on our recent visit to Paris was at Ma Biche. Was the food bad or of poor quality? No it wasn't. It was just unremarkable. I ordered the Farmer pork stew with apples and apple cider and lemongrass thinking it would be great. I discovered no apples and tasted no cider. The pork was dry and there were a few shreds of lemon grass which one certainly doesn't eat. There was no real complexity at all to the dish. It needed something. My guests ordered the spelt risotto with shrimp, mushrooms and cantal cheese which again sounded wonderful but both guests said the dish was bland and just meh. There are too many wonderful restaurants in Paris for me to bother paying 17.5-18.5 euros on a diner that leaves you blah.

Homemade Terrine with homemade Pickles of grapes (from owner's grandmother.) it's very delicious terrine!!

We visited here for the first time, first night in Paris, because we booked another restaurant in same area from USA but the restaurant was closed!!Unbelievable!!OMG!What's happened?!?! And then we went to different restaurant to try to eat,but they were full booked the day.And the Owner who is very kind, he was recommend this resraurant "Ma Biche". Anyway, Ma biche staff was so kind and friendly and they did warm welcome to us!We are very appriciate thoes staff.Otherwise,we probably will get lost on the roadside. The Terrine was super great! Actually I was not good at Terrine because sometime it's smell like a animal. But the Terrine was superb! And foie gras was delicious also, it made my husband so happy, because he loves foie gras. Anyway, Here's Great service and food is very yummy and have a good atmosphere.

Hidden on a small street in Montmartre, is this hidden gem of Paris. Amazing traditional French food, small, cozy, intimate, menu that caters to every taste style (steak, fish, duck, pasta)...I've been here several times and everything is fantastic. You can see the kitchen and the chef preparing food made to order as you walk in. If you are in Paris, and you want a French dinner, this place is a must! Great wine selection, ask the owner or one of the people who are there to pair your wine with your food if you are unsure. This place is a must visit. They also have Sunday brunch that starts at 11:30, it opens every night at 7pm.

Ma Biche - TLC of Paris If you find yourself in Montmartre neighborhood of Paris, may I recommend to walk one block off the beaten path, away from tourists' traps to Rue Veron to discover a true soulful representation of french cuisine - Ma Biche. Pascal Pulze, the owner, chef and the server of Ma Biche welcomes you with open heart to the gentle tunes of Bosa Nova. Entering felt as if one enters a film set complete with mystery and history of time past. The place - small yet comfortable is clean and smells of kindness. Tender Loving Care seems to be the main secret and ingredient to this not-complicated one-page menu complete with English sub-titles. Off-the-charts Burger is the only constant staple of the often-changing menu. My wife and I shared two seafood appetizers and each had an entree. The sight of the thoughtful presentation made me feel important. That always happens when a chef thinks that what he/she does is important. - Bread. Great tasting and freshly baked. Pascale bakes it himself from scratch in his kitchen oven from a recipe given to him by a 19 year old baker in Denmark. There's a story to everything in life. Ask him - he will tell you. - Coquilles Saint-Jacques or Scallops over Rice in Black Ink of Squid. Simple and impressive in its simplicity. Salicornia seaweed garnish was a perfect touch to add the flavor and smell of the sea. Bretagne is in the air... - Couteaux de Mer or Razor Clams with Butter, Butter, Butter with a spoonful of butter to add. Fresh and oceany. I can almost smell the sea breeze. - Jarreton de Porc or Pork Knuckle was tender, sliding off the bone, not too much fat and the skin perfectly crispy with red sweet sauce. Small halfs of potatoes the size and color of large olives. Pork I always eat when out as it is a hustle to cook to perfection at home. This dish was at the top pork dishes I have ever tasted. Yum! - Cailles Rôties or Roast Quail over White Cream Sauce with puree of Sweet Potatoes and Roasted Peach. I love the fact that the French are into eating fowl, tradition which is a rarity in the States. The sweet and salty combination of this dish prepared to moist perfection - Mag-ni-fique! After the meal Pascal offered a free Vodka based Sangria. I mean, he just put a full carafe of this delicious pink potion on the table as if his granny told him so. Hospitality and dedication to the craft. By all means try this combination out for yourself. You will be pleased with my advice. We stepped out well-fed and cared for into the warmth of Montmartre evening and the into enigma of its streets. Oh, Paris - Let's get lost! Merci, Merci, Merci, Ma Biche.

These smaller bistro type eateries are the lifeblood of the local cuisine. They consistently offer reasonably priced dishes that are full of flavor and technique. The wine and drink options are well catered to the menu and they provide options for most price points. The service we experienced was exactly what you want... our server had plenty of suggestions based on the offerings of the day. The service was attentive and responsive... not much more than you could ask for. I had the duck breast being offered... it was served alongside crispy potatoes, green beans, and a salad. Adding in the onion soup and a glass of wine... it quickly became a King's dinner at a very reasonable price. I would be more than happy to eat here again and look forward to exploring the rest of the menu offering many local and classic French options.

Like others have said, it's super small inside, so you'll get to know your neighbors really well. But your attention will be more focused on the food they bring out. I had the lamb with thyme sauce and my wife had the confit duck leg. Don't be afraid to pick the sauce of the day over the regular honey sauce. The sauce of the day on the day we went was a blackberry sauce which was crazy good. With a bottle of wine at 24 euros and both entrees under 20 euros, you couldn't really beat a meal of that quality in many places around Paris for that price. It was only after I ate at Le Potager did I see it had a bunch of great reviews on Yelp. It's definitely earned all those stars.

Making a reservation isn't hard but you do need to email them and there's no online booking system. You also have to confirm again 1-2 days before. I understand they are small with a limited number of tables so that's fair and it seemed like everyone showed up even though they don't require a deposit. On a Friday night, it didn't appear there was much chance or walking in although there were like 2 open seats at what would have been a shared table. The menu is small and includes some typical French starters, steaks, 3 non steak entrees, cheeses, and dessert. All steaks come with potatoes, 3 sauces, salad. Service was a highlight. The waiter was personable and funny, had solid recommendations, and made sure leftovers were taken home. Also had a solid wine recommendation after asking some questions. They probably get a lot of people who don't speak French and they had no problem speaking English. The food- ordered a ribeye medium rare. The steak was so so charred on the outside and it almost ruined the whole thing. I really wish they would have charred it way less especially when it was ordered medium rare. There is seared and then there is burnt; this was sadly the latter. The steak itself was fine, honestly nowhere near the best meat I have had but the price is quite reasonable for how much you get. I would say the steak was maybe 6/10 for me, largely due to the cooking. The fries were phenomenal. Definitely a highlight and really tasty and with a great texture. Salad was good, pretty typical. I wanted to like the sauces more but found them just okay. The best by far for me was the blue cheese sauce but even this one I thought the flavors could have popped a little more. Atmosphere was fun, there were a few bigger groups (6-8 which is the biggest they accommodate) but it never got unreasonably loud. Overall I wanted to love it but was a bit disappointed even though the service and fries were both great.

It's a tiny restaurant, so if you're a party of two, you might share a table with others, but they have spacers so you don't feel like you're eating together. Reservations were easy to make. You email in your requested sitting and someone will get back to you shortly. We were able to get in a little ahead of schedule and start the adventure. Wines were reasonably priced and they had a good variety of cocktails. We hadn't had French onion soup on our trip, so we ordered it as an appetizer. Sometimes it can get a little salty, but these were very well blended. Sacree Fleur seems to be known for their steak and frites, so we ordered the steak for two. Steak comes out on a sizzling platter. You can turn the pieces over to keep cooking until your preferred temperature. It was quite succulent and the fries were well prepared. There are two dipping sauces and some salt to season your meal. We hadn't a great time and way too much food :)

We were so looking forward to the frog legs, onion soup and other delicacies pictured. We got there and the sign was just as it was with the same name -- Au Pied du Sacre Coeur. We should've noticed something was wrong when no one was inside. When the waiter (lone person working along with cook) gave us the menu, my wife and I stared at each other completely confused. The menu looked nothing like the ones on this website and featured Italian food items, like spaghetti, arroz con pollo or mozarella. I asked him about frog legs or the onion soup. He looked confused and just said no. Out of respect for him, we just ordered the charcuterie, which featured stale bread and a few slices of meat taken from my local grocery store in the U.S. Also -- they claimed to not accept any international credit cards. WHAT HAPPENED? Are all these reviews fake? Most likely, they underwent new ownership right when we visited. But new visitors -- please beware. Do not trust any of the reviews before mine.
