This is my new restaurant crush of the rentrée! I first heard about it from David Lebovitz who wrote about it with unusual superlatives in his monthly newsletter. Then a scan of fab Yelp reviews supported his claim and I reserved a table for that very night. This place checks all of the boxes of what a modern French bistro should be: a spacious, airy restaurant with very friendly staff, and a truly seasonal, evolving menu of inventive but unfussy dishes at affordable prices. The evening menu is 37E for entree, plat and dessert, but you could order à la carte, which is what I did since I was heading out dancing afterwards and wanted to be a bit light on my feet. My entrée of seared tuna over greens with a tangy plum sauce and pickled onions was heavenly. I'm still dreaming of that sauce and wishing I could slather it over just about anything. My main dish was a more daring choice, thick, juicy slices of grilled marinated pork served over sauteed kale with a light licorice sauce that had a great sweet and sour balance. It was a little greasy, but the waitress warned me so, but not at all heavy in the end. On the subject of service, it was all perfect. Our waitress was adorable, super accommodating and had a respectful but pal-around way of chatting with the table. The other staff seemed to have the same attitude with their tables.

One of my top meals in Paris - a 4.5. This place is sort of tucked in a side street full of random eateries. Dinner can be a la carte or a starter/main/dessert for 37 euros. Our server spoke enough English to help and there was an English menu describing the dishes. The owner speaks English as well and is really friendly and stopped by to with us chat a few times. Lots of locals with a couple of tables with non-Parisians. Casual environment where you feel relaxed to dine. Food is of good portion and excellent flavours. This is modern French food with a focus on what's in season. There was definitely a layer of interesting yet subtle and complex flavours in every dish. Starters: poached oyster with cucumbers was a cold dish - delightful and referring. I love the white asparagus here (it's currently in season in May). Asparagus wasn sweet and paired well with the salty chorizo. Mains: veal was seasoned and cooked perfectly and the sides were perfection. The duck breast was also cooked perfectly and delicious. Third course, we went with the cheese platter and it was heaven. Couldn't remember all of the names but I particularly loved this goats milk cheese that just oozed so seductively. Overall I would recommend this place especially if you're in the 10rh arrondissement. But also worth visiting even if you aren't in the area.

My husband and I went to Paris for a week. I wanted to dine at a place locals go and have a great evening meal. Our concierge recommended Chameleon. The fresh, local ingredients, the staff, the chefs & the owner of Chameleon was all that I wanted out of the "local food experience ". The food was clean and honest, the wine was wonderful. If this restaurant was located in my home city, I would be a regular. I will never forget the food and experience that I had at Chameleon. When we return to Paris, we will be making our way to Chameleon to enjoy another meal. Love love love Chameleon! I had the Pink mushroom carpaccio, the aged beef tataki, and Rhubarb.

Once and a while you have an absolutely perfect meal. Tonight I had that pleasure. If you are anywhere near Paris and don't walk into these doors shame on you.

Stumbled up on this gem, and we were not disappointed!!! Best meal we had in Paris, the food had good quality and tasted like nothing we ever had. They didn't have a lot of waiter staff to help the customers, only one younger lady and her dad took cares of whole restaurant, which was pretty impressive. You can get one appetizer, one main course and one dessert for a set price.

Fantastic place with delicious cuisines! Spot on with all flavors and haute French method to bring it together very nicely. I was in Paris for a week and went there twice and brought friends there. There are many great places, but this one was especially outstanding. Atmosphere is casual but nice and focus on great food (tried about 6 dishes overall and all exquisite) instead of just decorations and formalities. Open kitchen for you to view all the masters at work.

These smaller bistro type eateries are the lifeblood of the local cuisine. They consistently offer reasonably priced dishes that are full of flavor and technique. The wine and drink options are well catered to the menu and they provide options for most price points. The service we experienced was exactly what you want... our server had plenty of suggestions based on the offerings of the day. The service was attentive and responsive... not much more than you could ask for. I had the duck breast being offered... it was served alongside crispy potatoes, green beans, and a salad. Adding in the onion soup and a glass of wine... it quickly became a King's dinner at a very reasonable price. I would be more than happy to eat here again and look forward to exploring the rest of the menu offering many local and classic French options.

Like others have said, it's super small inside, so you'll get to know your neighbors really well. But your attention will be more focused on the food they bring out. I had the lamb with thyme sauce and my wife had the confit duck leg. Don't be afraid to pick the sauce of the day over the regular honey sauce. The sauce of the day on the day we went was a blackberry sauce which was crazy good. With a bottle of wine at 24 euros and both entrees under 20 euros, you couldn't really beat a meal of that quality in many places around Paris for that price. It was only after I ate at Le Potager did I see it had a bunch of great reviews on Yelp. It's definitely earned all those stars.

Making a reservation isn't hard but you do need to email them and there's no online booking system. You also have to confirm again 1-2 days before. I understand they are small with a limited number of tables so that's fair and it seemed like everyone showed up even though they don't require a deposit. On a Friday night, it didn't appear there was much chance or walking in although there were like 2 open seats at what would have been a shared table. The menu is small and includes some typical French starters, steaks, 3 non steak entrees, cheeses, and dessert. All steaks come with potatoes, 3 sauces, salad. Service was a highlight. The waiter was personable and funny, had solid recommendations, and made sure leftovers were taken home. Also had a solid wine recommendation after asking some questions. They probably get a lot of people who don't speak French and they had no problem speaking English. The food- ordered a ribeye medium rare. The steak was so so charred on the outside and it almost ruined the whole thing. I really wish they would have charred it way less especially when it was ordered medium rare. There is seared and then there is burnt; this was sadly the latter. The steak itself was fine, honestly nowhere near the best meat I have had but the price is quite reasonable for how much you get. I would say the steak was maybe 6/10 for me, largely due to the cooking. The fries were phenomenal. Definitely a highlight and really tasty and with a great texture. Salad was good, pretty typical. I wanted to like the sauces more but found them just okay. The best by far for me was the blue cheese sauce but even this one I thought the flavors could have popped a little more. Atmosphere was fun, there were a few bigger groups (6-8 which is the biggest they accommodate) but it never got unreasonably loud. Overall I wanted to love it but was a bit disappointed even though the service and fries were both great.

It's a tiny restaurant, so if you're a party of two, you might share a table with others, but they have spacers so you don't feel like you're eating together. Reservations were easy to make. You email in your requested sitting and someone will get back to you shortly. We were able to get in a little ahead of schedule and start the adventure. Wines were reasonably priced and they had a good variety of cocktails. We hadn't had French onion soup on our trip, so we ordered it as an appetizer. Sometimes it can get a little salty, but these were very well blended. Sacree Fleur seems to be known for their steak and frites, so we ordered the steak for two. Steak comes out on a sizzling platter. You can turn the pieces over to keep cooking until your preferred temperature. It was quite succulent and the fries were well prepared. There are two dipping sauces and some salt to season your meal. We hadn't a great time and way too much food :)

We were so looking forward to the frog legs, onion soup and other delicacies pictured. We got there and the sign was just as it was with the same name -- Au Pied du Sacre Coeur. We should've noticed something was wrong when no one was inside. When the waiter (lone person working along with cook) gave us the menu, my wife and I stared at each other completely confused. The menu looked nothing like the ones on this website and featured Italian food items, like spaghetti, arroz con pollo or mozarella. I asked him about frog legs or the onion soup. He looked confused and just said no. Out of respect for him, we just ordered the charcuterie, which featured stale bread and a few slices of meat taken from my local grocery store in the U.S. Also -- they claimed to not accept any international credit cards.
