We really love this restaurant and come whenever we're in Rome. Shared a basket of bread. The spaghetti carbonara is the best we've had in Italy. We each had a plate. Also shared cotoletta alla Milanese. Good thing cause it was big. Had a salad we shared along with a bottle of wine. Tiramisu for both and we walked out stuffed. Very good service but the Italian waiters can't be found. Ours spoke English well and did a fantastic job. Two euros each Copernicus. Bottled water was three euros. Bottle of wine 25 euros. Seems very reasonable to me for all we ate and drinks. Plus a coffee for me at 3 euros. Coming back for lunch in a couple of days for pizza and spaghetti. Yes they play the piano and the place was filled for dinner on a Monday night. Also nice outdoor dining. Walk or taxi to here cause good luck finding parking.

RIP. It will never be the same without you!

We love Rome and come often. This is the place we must stop by every time we come to Rome. So many fun memories filled with music, singing and laughters. Missing you.

    Risotto with prawns

First night in Rome and just down the street from our rental. Very nice staff. Spoke English willingly. Good food. It had the risotto with prawns. Perfectly cooked and good flavor. Carbonara was flavorful. Homemade tiramisu was just what we wanted! If you want something good and quick this is the place.

This place was suggested by our concierge from our hotel within walking distance . It was very nice inside . It had a guy playing the piano and vibe was very nice . I'm only giving three stars because even though the food and wine were very good for being so High end the service wasn't great . It was ok . After we ordered our food the waiter disappeared and than to get the check same deal . I think it needs better service .

This food was excellent--pasta and pizza very good. All the dishes around me looked good too. Nice outdoor seating.

The food and service were great. We chose it because it was close to our hotel and it lived up to previous reviews.

Our hotel manager had suggested another restaurant, but I was apprehensive to try, but did later, more on that restaurant review in it's own post. I rather did what I should have done throughout the trip to, which is to search google for local reviews. This tactic I found to be much better than to trust American reviews for restaurants to visit from Youtube or even here, just because the American touristy taste tends to favor bland or Olive Garden style pseudo Italian. The real Italian taste is much different and something one needs to develop. I was familiar with European Italian food, as I had said before in other reviews that Mexico has better Italian food outside of Italy. Additionally, the good restaurants here in Italy do not open before 7 PM. If it does or if someone that looks foreign to Italy is outside trying to lure you in, it's a tourist restaurant with iffy flavor. At this restaurant my husband had the Lobster pasta and I had the spinach/ricotta ravioli, and we both were beyond satisfied. We also had the artichoke as an appetizer, and trusted the waiter with his suggestion for a bottle of wine. He must have been some genius because the wine went well with our meal. The ambience was cozy and very family oriented, however, the rain outside made it romantic for us. Another key point for this restaurant and it traditional flare was that they brought out the olive oil and red vinegar for our salad and of course olive oil for our wonderful home-made bread. I'm so glad we chose this place for those of us Americans who understand culinary cuisine.

Great first meal in Rome!…read more I loved my artichoke pasta dish with bacon, it was a daily special. The amaretto dessert was delicious! Carbonara was super al dente. Seafood risotto was fresh. Grilled radicchio was like stir fried. Dinner for 3 for 77 euros, impressively busy for a Tuesday night. Friendly staff, easy for English speakers. :)
