I had what is considered a lunch special since usually I get the breakfast.... This little hidden gem is extremely clean, the staff is so friendly and the food is delicious. You are always greeted warmly by everyone. This is definitely the go to place

The two times I went, there were a few patrons with toddlers playing with games/toys making the vibe less conducive for quietly reading or working, FYI. The baristas served not only great tasting coffee, but it looked amazing too! I ordered a drip coffee with oat milk and in my second visit, the cortado. The pastries were fresh looking but most had hazelnut or Nutella in them on the first visit (I'm allergic). They had a new selection of pastries on my second trip but sadly I didn't have any. Nice space that's modern and a great addition to the PK area.

5 STARS - A Hidden Gem You Need to Know About…read more There's an untold story behind Anna et Pierre that more people need to hear: this place is truly amazing. From the moment you walk in, you feel like you've stepped into a little pocket of charm and warmth that's hard to find these days. What really makes this spot unforgettable are the owners, Gigi and Dade. They're not just business owners -- they're storytellers, hosts, and community builders all in one. You can feel their passion in every detail, from the menu to the atmosphere. They treat every guest like an old friend, and it shows. The food is exceptional, the ambiance is beautiful without trying too hard, and the service feels like a genuine extension of who they are. You leave feeling happier than when you arrived -- and that's rare. If you want a place with heart, character, and incredible food, this is it. Anna et Pierre is a must-visit.

LOCATION: on the tiniest Main Street I know Adorable…read more"downtown " Wappingers Falls, NY in the beautiful Hudson Valley, just 12 minutes from Metro North's New Hamburg station on the Hudson River ( green) line from Grand Central Station, NYC. I mentioned this cute little town because it's just one of the little niches along the Hudson river that makes a perfect little day trip. FIRST IMPRESSIONS: really quaint storefront, and first impression.Enter through the cafe door which also functions as a retail shop for handmade objects like soaps, etc. The gifts have an upscale vibe-worth a trip back. We had about 15 minutes to kill before attending a Yelp event across The Street so we opted to take the chill off by purchasing a hot beverage at Norma's. The staff is pretty laid-back, friendly, but laid-back. If you're in a hurry, I'm not sure if this would work. The hot and cold beverages are very straightforward and you can get some vegan options here. There were two behind the counter, but I felt they were a little engaged in their personal banter and we're not that attentive. Not a real sense of urgency or purpose. I'm sorry if that sounds harsh but once they did give us their full attention, we let them know that we were waiting for an event across the street and didn't have a lot of time. They asked us if we'd like to sit down with our beverage and we opted to do so since it was pretty cold outside. We ordered two hot chocolate And two homemade biscuits. They gave us a table number stanchion for the table and let us know they would be bringing it to us. We did not need to wait. We took the three steps down to the main dining area, where we were pleasantly surprised that they were having a live event - in this case it was a storytelling event. There was a table available for the two of us so we sat down and quickly realized that the table was so off-balance that it post a potential safety hazard. When I placed my hot chocolate down and rested my wrist, the entire table tilted forward toward me. This is an easy thing to fix, but my guess is that it's been this way for a really long time. That's unfortunate. All that aside, the room was really cozy and had a lot of character - lots of two top and four top tables to provide a very intimate setting with each one having a good view of the small stage Minutes went by and there was no biscuit delivered. More minutes went by and we began to wonder if they had forgotten. I guess is that they weren't making the biscuits from scratch so most likely they did forget. Since we had already paid for everything with a pretty generous tip, we waited a a few more minutes. Time ran out when we noticed that the event attendees were lining up across the street. That's something we could see from the really great big windows that faced Main Street. Reluctantly, my sister and I got up from the table and headed to the counter where we had made the order. We let them know that we needed to go and asked if the biscuits were ready. They seemed perplexed at first and then a lightbulb moment. Yes. I suspect they did forget the order. I wouldn't bother so much but two biscuits and two hot chocolates. It was about $20 plus tip so when they recognized that the biscuits were still missing, they asked if we would like to take them to go. The lack of awareness was disappointing because they were clearly not busy with anything else A minute or two later, they emerged from the kitchen with a small bag, presumably containing the two biscuits. Service was definitely lacking, particularly for what is a bit of a higher priced venue. Maybe we caught them on an off night but my sense is that laid back attitude is built in to the business model. Would I return to Norma's? I'm not sure. The hot chocolate was good, not from a mix, but would it bring me back? I'll let you know.

However, for my taste this places donuts are slightly on the denser side and lack much flavor in terms of the actual dough (which mostly just tastes like oil rather than a fresh, "bready(?)" flavor). I did not enjoy my usual favorite item at other spots, the jelly donut. The strawberry jam was overly sweet and tasted low quality (mostly like preservatives with the strawberry flavor utterly cooked off). I wish the texture was pillowy and the flavor of the donut itself higher quality (since these donuts are marketed as specialty/gourmet). They shine based on what fancy flavor is put on top. Overall, I may prefer another spot when considering the price and quality.

Wow! Amazing! So good, and so cute!…read more The employee was great. She was so engaging and was helping me pick and choose since this was my first time inside. She was able to describe the selection they had. I opted for The Homer, chocolate sprinkle, glazed yeast, Boston cream and a cider donut. They were all fantastic. The Boston cream one was everyone's favorite. The cider donut was a great cake donut. The Homer was also a cake donut. I prefer a cake donut over yeast. But, the glaze was great. I love the selection between yeast and cake doughnuts! Kiddos! The flavors are really unique. I love the creativity. This really is a great shop!
