Wow. I expected their Cuban sandwich to be good based on all the reviews and photos, but I was honestly blown away by how great it was. It had perfect ingredients and the perfect proportion of everything. My partner and I shared one. We also got an order of the pernil (roast pork) with rice and beans, and shared that. The pernil was amazing! Tender and flavorful - it's probably one of the best ever! In fact the only Cuban sandwich I ever had that was as good as this one was when I worked in NYC in the 1980's, and I went to a small Cuban restaurant near my office on West 46th street. The rice and beans were great, along with the sauce they give you, which is just spicy enough and flavorful enough to bring every flavor sense front and center. Portions were also big enough that we have leftovers for tomorrow!!! Service was friendly, caring, and with a smile. Loved everything about this place and the warmth of the people who clearly love what they do. Sadly we had no room for dessert, but next time we'll make up for it! read more

This place is still putting out amazing food and pastries. It's forever busy for a reason. Service is great, even when there super busy you get your food quite fast. All their cakes and pastries are amazing. Fruit tarts which I'm not a fan of was amazing. I wish they opened a bigger restaurant where you can sit and eat. Their seating is always full and hit or miss during peak hours. Plan accordingly. If I'm in the area I make it my priority to stop by for a lil something something. read more

My husband and I had a delicious meal, served by the most charming and professional waitress name Pamela. She was attentive and checked on us often. My first time to Lazo Nita's in many years although it's been there for a very long time. Not easy to get in and out of since the parking is limited. Service was friendly. The baked goods were fresh and they do specialize in Latino sweets. Stick with those. TIP: more parking is at the end near Dunkin. Park there and walk a few extra pieces. Los Hornitos is a special local gem! Feels like walking into a family members kitchen with so many delicious options to chose from. We LOVED the breakfast burritos big time- the homemade salsa on top made them out of this world delicious spicy perfection. The plantains also perfectly cooked and fresh made to order. All cakes I got very moist and soft, something very hard to pull off being refrigerated, plus the cream and icing on them, light and not overly sweet. Next the food is fresh and I like the decor, it made me feel like I was visiting someone's home. We ordered an Alfajore which is a cookie with caramel in the middle. The alfajore was delicious and fresh, would definitely recommend that. We also ordered a breakfast burrito and Chilean coffee. The burrito was very good but I would say it needs a sauce or cream something because it was a hit dry. The Chilean coffee was so delicious and I still dream about it. The empanadas were filled with meat and are baked like all empanadas should be. It had hard boiled egg and raisins in it which is unexpected but still good. The tostones are great...just as good as mom makes. The salsita and garlic sauce was delicious. All the food we ordered was great. We ordered guava pastry, chocolate raspberry moose cake, alfajores, and marzipan chocolate almond crescent. All the pastries were great except for the guava pastries. Hands down the best Cubano in the area, and a solid bacon, egg, cheese on a Portuguese roll. Every dessert I've had has been delicious - the Tres Leches cake is a standout - and the service is always friendly. Right off the bat you could tell that it was a local favorite and people had been coming for years. I order a Cubano sandwich that was made to perfection right in front of me.
