We haven't been here in a while. Today we came here. I had my usual. which is pernil. They make it very good, juicy and tender and I have a salad to go with it. The staff are very nice.I certainly refer this restaurant. They also have the best deserts. Besides cookies. They use cakes for all occasions. My favorite is tres leches cakes

Don't let the word " Bakery" fool you. A great small restaurant awaits you inside. They serve Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. My husband and I had a delicious meal, served by the most charming and professional waitress name Pamela. She was attentive and checked on us often. A basket of yummy bread with a spicy sauce as well as butter was brought to the table. I ordered the Pernil ( roast pork) delicious, came with a great salad and yellow rice, you can have white rice if you prefer. My husband had the Bistec a lo pobre, finger liking good. Steak served with onions, huge amount of fries and two sunny side up egg. Prices are really good. Manny desserts, unfortunately we were two full to eat there, so we took them home!!

We stopped in for lunch. I was going to get the fish as I usually do; but instead I tried something different. Tried the baked chicken with the rice and beans. The chicken is so tender and delicious it's beyond description. Monica and her staff treat you like family and make you feel welcome. They decorate for every season, which enhances the ambience.

My first time to Lazo Nita's in many years although it's been there for a very long time. Not easy to get in and out of since the parking is limited. Service was friendly. The baked goods were fresh and they do specialize in Latino sweets. Stick with those. TIP: more parking is at the end near Dunkin. Park there and walk a few extra pieces. There are a few tables inside if you want to sit down and have your treat or lunch.

Found this place via Yelp and wanted to bring my husband for some hometown treats. It's smaller than expected. The steak in my taco salad was so tender, and good. My husband said the Marraqueta was flavorless and was hoping for it to be great. Maybe it was an off day. We bought some bread to bring home. We would go back if in the area.

Los Hornitos is a special local gem! Feels like walking into a family members kitchen with so many delicious options to chose from. We LOVED the breakfast burritos big time- the homemade salsa on top made them out of this world delicious spicy perfection. The plantains also perfectly cooked and fresh made to order. Still dreaming of the tres leches cake- sweet and melt in your mouth with delicious strawberrys and peaches snuck in. Immediately after our meal I was plotting the next time we can get back there to try everything else on the menu!!!

Came by here for some cake and man did it deliver. All cakes I got very moist and soft, something very hard to pull off being refrigerated, plus the cream and icing on them, light and not overly sweet. Usually cakes can very rich and heavy, but here it was like pillow and light like a clouds. Staff was very friendly and made sure to tell me what the flavors were.

Baked Beef Empanada Fried Ham & Cheese Empanada Cafe Chileno

I came here on a Saturday morning and it loved this place. First the place is well lit and the staff is very friendly. Next the food is fresh and I like the decor, it made me feel like I was visiting someone's home. We ordered alot of different things, the oven baked beef empanada and the fried ham and cheese empanada. The oven baked empanada was delicious and the beef inside was well seasoned. I also ordered the fried ham and cheese empanada and that was very good, and had a good amount of filling. The empanadas were a full meal. We ordered an Alfajore which is a cookie with caramel in the middle. The alfajore was delicious and fresh, would definitely recommend that. We also ordered a breakfast burrito and Chilean coffee. The burrito was very good but I would say it needs a sauce or cream something because it was a hit dry. The Chilean coffee was so delicious and I still dream about it. This is definitely worth the trip and when I return upstate this is on my must stop list.

Yummy pastries... sorry but I couldn't wait to take a bite!

Stopped in quick for a beef empanada and pastries with coffee. What a nice little meal. My daughter ordered the tostones. The empanadas were filled with meat and are baked like all empanadas should be. It had hard boiled egg and raisins in it which is unexpected but still good. The tostones are great...just as good as mom makes. The salsita and garlic sauce was delicious. All the food we ordered was great. We ordered guava pastry, chocolate raspberry moose cake, alfajores, and marzipan chocolate almond crescent. All the pastries were great except for the guava pastries. There was something off...not as good as I make (ha ha). The coffee was great and they had oatmilk which is a plus because it means I can order coffee! The alfajores are so authentic!!

So many treats to choose from!

I mentioned this cute little town because it's just one of the little niches along the Hudson river that makes a perfect little day trip. FIRST IMPRESSIONS: really quaint storefront, and first impression.Enter through the cafe door which also functions as a retail shop for handmade objects like soaps, etc. The gifts have an upscale vibe-worth a trip back. We had about 15 minutes to kill before attending a Yelp event across The Street so we opted to take the chill off by purchasing a hot beverage at Norma's. The staff is pretty laid-back, friendly, but laid-back. If you're in a hurry, I'm not sure if this would work. The hot and cold beverages are very straightforward and you can get some vegan options here. There were two behind the counter, but I felt they were a little engaged in their personal banter and we're not that attentive. Not a real sense of urgency or purpose. I'm sorry if that sounds harsh but once they did give us their full attention, we let them know that we were waiting for an event across the street and didn't have a lot of time. They asked us if we'd like to sit down with our beverage and we opted to do so since it was pretty cold outside. We ordered two hot chocolate And two homemade biscuits. They gave us a table number stanchion for the table and let us know they would be bringing it to us. We did not need to wait. We took the three steps down to the main dining area, where we were pleasantly surprised that they were having a live event - in this case it was a storytelling event. There was a table available for the two of us so we sat down and quickly realized that the table was so off-balance that it post a potential safety hazard. When I placed my hot chocolate down and rested my wrist, the entire table tilted forward toward me. This is an easy thing to fix, but my guess is that it's been this way for a really long time. That's unfortunate. All that aside, the room was really cozy and had a lot of character - lots of two top and four top tables to provide a very intimate setting with each one having a good view of the small stage Minutes went by and there was no biscuit delivered. More minutes went by and we began to wonder if they had forgotten. I guess is that they weren't making the biscuits from scratch so most likely they did forget. Since we had already paid for everything with a pretty generous tip, we waited a a few more minutes. Time ran out when we noticed that the event attendees were lining up across the street. That's something we could see from the really great big windows that faced Main Street. Reluctantly, my sister and I got up from the table and headed to the counter where we had made the order. We let them know that we needed to go and asked if the biscuits were ready. They seemed perplexed at first and then a lightbulb moment. Yes. I suspect they did forget the order. I wouldn't bother so much but two biscuits and two hot chocolates. It was about $20 plus tip so when they recognized that the biscuits were still missing, they asked if we would like to take them to go. The lack of awareness was disappointing because they were clearly not busy with anything else A minute or two later, they emerged from the kitchen with a small bag, presumably containing the two biscuits. Service was definitely lacking, particularly for what is a bit of a higher priced venue. Maybe we caught them on an off night but my sense is that laid back attitude is built in to the business model. Would I return to Norma's? I'm not sure. The hot chocolate was good, not from a mix, but would it bring me back? I'll let you know.

This Kung Fu Tea is spotless - part combination of them being brand new, part kudos to their team for keeping it clean. The seating is spaced out so you won't feel crowded. I can see meeting a couple of friends here and hanging out over some bubble tea. The drinks are as expected from KFT - I don't know if they share recipes across chains, but their drinks are consistent and delicious. I always go for half sugar, less ice when the option is available. I will say, my favorite item here is anything matcha foam - which is crazy because I hated foam drinks before. You can see in the photos it appears they're trying to be more of a cocktail lounge/ restaurant as there was a stage in the front.
