Best donut ever
Sheryl S.

Amazing donuts wonderful service. Just had the black and white donuts taste just like the black and white cookies I remember my grandmother buying me at the bakeries in Poughkeepsie as a kid. Such a cute location and store in the wonderful Eastdale Village so many great places to check out and do while you are getting your donuts.

Discovered this donut shop thanks to Yelp and Doordash for making the delivery happen right on time! They make the most delicious, light and fluffy donuts with unique flavors that rotate weekly, even some weekend specials too! During summer time, I was able to order their watermelon ring which was so fun and colorful and perfect for the summer. Tuttie fruttie was my absolute favorite because it's basically everything I like in a donut. Colors, fun, brightness and delicious texture with the cereal crunch - just so fun. Can't wait to see if in the future they do things like nutella - if so, I may or may not be in BIG trouble here. Overall, great process with online ordering and delivery. Super excited to visit them in person!

Cappuccino, cheery blossom and strawberry doughnuts
Darren G.

Loved that they are donut flavor you can't find on the regular run like cherry blossom and cappuccino, plus you got regulars like strawberry frosting. All donuts I had were great, fresh baked and covered in frosting. I do wish they had all flavors they have on website available when I was there, since they were flavors I really wanted to try. But I guess changing up does give variety

Their doughnuts are sometimes nothing short of a masterpiece. This month's flavor of pandan ube was incredible, and original/innovative.

Wonderful service, wonderful donuts. The crème brulee -- only available on weekends -- is absolutely divine.

By the time we left the cafe was packed, we later learned classes let out at either 1:30pm or 3pm which accounted for the increased traffic. You order from the counter, receive a number, and wait for someone to bring your food, we did not wait long for our food to arrive and the students working front of the house asked if we needed anything and quickly attended to our needs. The fired artichoke hearts were the standout. Perfectly breaded and fried, they were spectacular without the dipping sauce! Don't get me wrong the sauce was great and added layers of taste but you didn't need it to make the dish better. The street Corn Salad was generous but it a salad. It's not that I wouldn't recommend but keep your expectations low!

Not sure we would have received the rest of our order if we had not asked. Chocolate chip cookie was hard and a bit eh...Nothing exceptional.

A random road-trip stop at Shadows turned into one of the greatest dining experiences of our lives…read more We just wanted a solid meal with a river view after a long day on the highway. Instead, we found a culinary gem. The space is spectacular -- bright, open, and surrounded by relaxing river ambiance. We began our evening on the outdoor balcony, but a sudden thunderstorm dropped a tsunami of rain prompting a quick relocation into the equally welcoming main dining room. Our waiter, a charming young man from Hungary, gave us an excellent primer on the menu, which expertly balanced accessible staples with high-end luxury (creeping all the way up to an eye-popping $155 Wagyu steak special -- there were only 15 servings available for the night we later found out). As Port lovers, we were floored by the beverage options. Living outside of Philadelphia, we're used to restaurants offering one or two uninspired Tawnys. Shadows boasts an embarrassment of riches. Our waiter candidly confessed Port wasn't his forte and quickly dispatched the sommelier, Enrique. The fluid, passionate back-and-forth that followed was incredible; we learned more about wine in five minutes with Enrique than in decades of traveling. We gladly handed him the steering wheel for the rest of the night. Because we were celebrating my birthday, we went all in. My wife crossed caviar off her bucket list and tried the delectable octopus -- a substantial steak rather than the usual fried bits at most establishments. After some enabling from my wife, I went temporarily insane and ordered the Wagyu. As frequent diners, it was the priciest plate I've ever ordered, and it was worth every single penny. From the kitchen's flawless execution to exceptional hospitality that extended from the GM to the bus staff, the evening was perfect. Yes, we dropped a small fortune, but entirely by choice -- the menu accommodates nearly all budgets. We left feeling like we made out like bandits because the memories were priceless. Several times during dinner I literally felt envious of the locals. I hope they realize what a treasure they have in their midst.

I found mixed results with the food. The flatbread appetizer and cheesecake dessert was very good. I ordered steak as my entree and the server asked if I wanted it cooked rare, medium, or well done. I asked for medium rare and she said they couldn't do that. What kind of high end restaurant can't cook a steak medium rare? I found the cut I received to be way too overcooked. If you're looking for a place with a great view, stop by. Just don't order steak.

Presumably this is because of the proximity to City Of Poughkeepsie, but I see no reason for it. This location has a bit of a confusing situation because you really need to remember which entrance you use so you can get back to your vehicle without having to circle the entire building with an overflowing cart of groceries. They are pros and cons to shopping here. Staff is extremely friendly to the point where you feel like you're at a neighborhood small grocery. But this place is massive with an abundance of imports and unique offerings from around the region. I belong to a farm cooperative, so I don't usually need vegetables. However, in this case, I did shop produce to locate some organic options to serve with the scallops and shrimp. The presentation is wonderful, but the prices are outrageous. Year over year, the same items that I purchased at Adam have increased by at least 30%. Some of that is due to the current geopolitics, but some of it is just plain exorbitant pricing. My purchase: A stop at Seafood to make sure they had 2 pounds of sea scallops approximately $24 per pound- wild caught. And the colossal shrimp more than $20 per pound also wild caught. Next stop a birthday cake - everything looks wonderful and I'm sure that there are items that are not mass produced with lots of fillers, but idea say that they probably use the same cake mixes as the less pricey supermarkets. Regardless, I had no time to bake so I picked up a 6 inch carrot cake - $26. And a fresh fruit tart 9 inch $29. Ouch, one note about the fruit tart is that the strawberries were not hold which makes for very.com cumbersome dining. You serve a lovely piece of fruit tart, and your guest has to dissect the strawberry to take the leaves off. It doesn't look that great and it is not appetizing. A quick stop to pick up organic broccoli. What the heck! Roughly $12 for two bunches of broccoli. I must be out of my mind. It was a birthday and I don't have any broccoli at home so I bit the bullet Over to the cheese counter where you can find exceptional values, and Exceptional imports My pic today was Bulgarian feta cheese, which is not easy to find, a beautiful French Camembert, and a block of Gouda. A loaf of bread, and a quick run to the clearance section at the back of the store where I scored pretty well with about 2 pounds of beautiful grapes for two dollars and a dragon fruit for under two dollars. A 12 pack of Parker General rolls $2.50 a quick run past the pasta department for the Italian produced linguine and onto the cash register. My cart was full and I knew my wallet would be empty soon so I headed home. Shopping at Adams is an experience rather than a chore. Please don't go on an empty stomach because you will soon regret it. You're not gonna find samples here for tasting, but you can ask at the cheese counter if you're not sure about a potential purchase and they will oblige. I do .

What else could you want? How about absolutely outstanding food? Yes! I was hangry so I ordered a kimchi pancake and an order of bibimbap (no meat) with extra hot sauce. Before all that arrived, I was surprised and delighted by a perfect salad with amazing dressing that I'd like to bathe in and small cup of friggin' delicious pumpkin soup. My kimchi pancake was the spicy, carb-laden appetizer that I needed with a plentiful side of chili sauce. Then, my sizzling bibimbap arrived and I was thrilled to find purple rice under the fresh, assorted vegetables and fried egg. A side of kimchi and fish cakes accompanied my bibimbap. My iced ginger tea was sweet and a perfect complement to the rest of the meal. I almost polished off everything....loved that purple rice that got nice and crispy in that hot pot. Gochunjang tasted homemade...thick, spicy, savory and slightly sweet. The menu isn't extensive or overwhelming....it's just right.
