My esthetician Fluer was lovely and very informative ...... I fell asleep during the treatment which was good. God what did I do before I had massage in my life!? I don't know what I'd do without Leo! He can be a total sadist and make me squeal and shriek with his deep tissue, but somehow he always knows just how much I can really take and smoothes it out before it becomes too much. I suffer from chronic pain and feel like I've tried everything, but nothing works as well as weekly or twice-weekly massage does. Chiropractic care didn't cut it and for just a little bit more I can get an hour of blissful massage and actually feel better! This studio offers so much more than massage therapy, though! They have acupuncture and Chiropractic care, and even an aesthetician as well. AND fitness classes, art classes, and all the hippie dippie woo woo stuff like candles, massage stuff, bath bombs, fragrances, local art, hand crafted jewelry, house blended tea. I mean what more could I ask for??? Hmmm maybe a wet spa with body scrub? I'm going to suggest that at my next appointment. I love Leo's chatter. I always have a great time conversing with him. There are a wide array of therapists and each has their own vibe, so I definitely recommend checking them all out. I am a main-liner of Leo with supplemental massage from the other guys...like Leo is my main man and the other therapists are my massage side pieces. Lol. I go for the 10 pack of massages because it is a great value and I don't want to go a week without massage. It might land me in the poor house one day, but at least I'll be relaxed and pampered on my way there. If anyone has not visited L+A Healing Studio, I would high recommend it. I had severe shoulder and upper back pain and decided to go for a last minute massage on Sunday and found this gem of a place in south loop. Couldn't even lift my arm for 2 days and after massage I was able to lift 70-80% of my arm. Matt was amazing will definitely go back for more massages. Not only that but the owner makes amazing jewelry and helps local retailers with one mission everything has to be earth friendly. The collection was amazing. And to be honest they had me with dogs. It's a dog friendly place. I am seriously thinking about joining the studio where they do yoga and Pilates. I'm all about supporting local Chicago establishments and I decided to check out L&A Healing Studio in one of my favorite parts of the city. I love the South Loop! Upon arrival you are greeted warmly and I love the comfy feel of the space. The concept is a place to come to for different forms of art therapy. You can buy clothing, accessories, jewelry (and make your own), and bath products. While there you can also partake in a fitness class (Yoga & Pilates). When I was there I decided to try there bath products. OMG the bath bombs are amazing!!! I'm a huge bath person and they smell amazing. I also really enjoy the soaps. On my last visit I decided to get a massage from Leo and two days later I'm still feeling super relaxed! I sit behind a desk all day and my back and neck were really sore, but I left feeling like a new person. This studio has a little bit of everything and I plan on trying out all of the services. The little girls made their very own jewelry. Alex was wonderful and explained how to make their bracelets and necklaces while assisting throughout. He is a very talented jewelry designer. His designs belong in Barneys NY. I also recommend a massage or reflexology from Leo. My husband had a massage, and I had reflexology. We both agree that it was the best that we have ever had. We left the studio relaxed and with a better understanding of how to take better care of ourselves, mind and body. We highly recommend! read more

Walked past this place one Friday night, and holy smokes was it bustling. A cast of interesting (and friendly) characters walking in, so I made my way in too. Really neat place! I went for a massage but I was impressed with all of the handmade items like jewelry and other things for the home. Welcome was warm and friendly. My massage therapist was Mike who was awesome. He checked to make sure his pressure was to my tolerance level. He also adjusted to specific areas upon my request. At check out he recommended options for managing the tension in my neck and shoulder area. Thought that was pretty cool. No one has ever given an advice after a massage.
