I waited to go to this place twice before writing a review, but I have had a great experience both times. I didn't request any particular masseuse. I think the fact that this place focuses on reflexology helps significantly with the specificity of their massage. I've gotten the $60 variety massage for an hour special and the $45 for the same. I do prefer the 60 a little bit more just because they spend more time on your shoulders and back! The open floor plan inside feels good and safe but dividers and sheer curtains give you enough privacy. I appreciate it that both masseuses checked in on pressure as they went. On my first visit I had to explain an old injury. Instead of pretending that he understood me, he went and got the front desk clerk and I was able to quickly explain. The whole thing took about 30 seconds, and they made me feel like they cared about my health and comfort with this small gesture. It's efficient, relaxing and clean and I definitely can recommend it! read more

I had the best massage experience ever--it was absolutely worth every single penny! From the moment I arrived, the receptionist was incredibly friendly and helpful. She took the time to help me decide which service would be best, and we ended up having several great conversations. Since I told her I was new in town on a work trip, she even recommended some amazing local food spots, which made me feel so welcomed and comfortable. The atmosphere was perfect--quiet, peaceful, and filled with relaxing therapeutic music. It instantly put me at ease. I booked the 90-minute full-body massage with Allen, and he was absolutely amazing. He was professional, kind, and checked in throughout the session to make sure I was comfortable and okay with the areas he was working on. He truly got every nook and cranny, releasing so much tension from my body. I walked out feeling completely refreshed and relaxed. I honestly can't wait to go to sleep tonight because I already know it's going to be the best sleep ever! If you're thinking about booking here, don't hesitate. Please don't sleep on this place--they're phenomenal. I will definitely be back to book with Allen again, and I highly recommend this spa to anyone looking for an incredible massage experience. Yesterday I had the most horrible experience. I walked in thinking this would be a semi decent place but I was wrong. I asked if they do deep tissue. They replied yes. I went in and I realized immediately the woman didn't speak English because I tried asking something and she kept looking at me with a blank stare. Then she proceeded to use a diagram to ask how much pressure whereas I said Deep. We started the massage and I could tell immediately that this was a very soft feel and I told her numerous times to go harder she nodded her head or she did say, didn't say anything so I was confused throughout the whole massage and I kept asking to go harder and deeper, but I could not tell and I was confused if she understood or not. I asked before that I did not want to do a foot massage, yet in the middle of the massage she started going into the area that I had refused before the massage hasn't even started. By this point, I was very frustrated and I had already decided that this was one of the worst massages ever had, and I would never come back. Then I proceeded to go outside where the front desk asked me how it was, and I explained that it was a very frustrating. Massage because I did not get any request that I had asked for. Then she asked me will you be tipping in cash or card. First of all I'm not disagreeing with tipping, but that should not be the way that you should be asked assuming that automatically you're gonna be tipping because in this case I did not want to tip. Because I was so angry with the massage. behind me the person that did my massage was waiting and they have a procedure where they hand you the cash that you tipped, and then you proceed to give it to the person. Again, I am not against tipping and I tip every time I go for a massage, but I was feeling pressured and obligated to in this scenario where I did not want to tip because I was so not happy with this. Long story short I was very disappointed and the way this place is run needs to be rethought. I hope they make changes and address these issues. read more

It was my first time, on a Saturday booked a spot at 5:30pm. Paid parking right in front. Very clean, quiet and cozy. Affordable $40 for 60 min "relax" full body. I was very impressed with this establishment. I felt very comfortable and Kevin did a fantastic job. My overall mood for the rest of the evening was just giddy and happiness. I felt so much tension lifted off of me. I'm stunned. Will be back (bring cash tip) I used my card but tipped over what they recommended because I think everyone deserves it! Did not expect this place to be what it is, well done. (I recommend Medium pressure) read more

I had a great experience at Relax Feet. The front desk was super friendly and welcoming from the moment I walked in. The place itself is very clean and well-kept, which made it even more relaxing. My therapist (Jason) was amazing. He constantly checking in and adjusting the pressure to make sure I was comfortable the entire time. And honestly, for the quality of service, the price can't be beat. Definitely coming back! read more

I absolutely recommend Relax Feet. The prices are so affordable. I had the 90 minute combo massage by Owen. It was the best massage I have ever had in my life. My muscles were so tight and sore coming in. When I left I felt like a million bucks. read more

I'm a fan of foot massage places. They're efficient at getting muscles massaged and you keep your clothes on! I've been to a couple of foot massage places and Relax Feet is one of the nicer spots in Chicago. I like that they have walls and curtains for one massage area for a bit of privacy and space. Chinese classical music and water plays in the background. This place is efficient. Call in and place a time, you don't even need to give any info - caller ID, oh yeah 90s technology! Once you walk in, take off. your shoes, grab a pair of clean slippers and have a seat. I took the $40 / 60 min foot massage where it was about 5-10 min for the scalp and the rest on the foot. I was hoping to get my calves massaged more which there is, but the massage was more pressure points on the bottom of the foot, fyi for those that are curious about this massage. The scalp massage is great! On the door way, I noticed they were running a special for 5x 70 min massages which is a good deal. There's a suggested cash tip ranging from $12 - $20, but Venmo also available. read more

My friend and I were at Relax Feet this past weekend and had an ok experience. The my brought us back to our section and told us to sit down. They held out a card and asked us what level of pressure we would like. We have both said level 2 which was supposed to be light pressure. Well if light pressure means feeling in pain two days later I would be scare to know what level 3 or 4 means. The things you sit on aren't that comfortable and they make the guys take their shirts off which in the past they never done. Would I go back not sure? The pain that I still feel days later doesn't convince me I want to go back. With that said I know they have a lot of people who go there enjoy the work that is done. read more

Unfortunately I had a bad experience. I emailed the business and am waiting for a reply. In the meantime I am posting this in the hopes that this doesn't happen to anyone else. I had a massage Monday at 4:30PM. I do not know the name of the masseuse. I have had many chinese style massages, at similar businesses, but this was my first time at Relax Feet. Unfortunately, I felt like the masseuse was too close to sensitive areas - I am a woman, and it felt like harassment. He used his hand to almost anally penetrate me with the towel after the hot stone, and was far too close to my vagina and breasts at times. I told the front desk receptionist afterwards, who apologized. It's awkward because the guy was standing right there for the tip so I felt compelled to do it and just get out of there. I am hoping the owner will speak to me about this issue. read more

This place is amazing. There are lots of options for whatever type of massage you prefer, and the price can't be beat!

This place was by far the worst massage I've ever had. Thank god I was only here because I received a gift certificate for the hot stone massage for me and my husband, if I had paid for the service that I received I would've been pissed. My husband and I came in 10 minutes before our appointment time and we were not seen until 20 minutes after it was supposed to start even though people who came after us got serviced before us. The lady who did my massage absolutely manhandled me and was so rough that no part of the massage was enjoyable. I asked her five times to be gentler and she would be gentle for about two minutes and then started being rough again. She wasn't even massaging my muscles, she was just running her hands over my bones the whole time and it was super painful. She had long nails and kept scratching me as well. At one point she pressed into my rib so hard that I physically and verbally winced and I kid you not this lady just stopped massaging me and laughed, then started saying something under her breath in Chinese to her coworker. When she was rubbing me down with the hot towels I literally thought for a second that she was trying to exfoliate me because she was so extremely rough with the towels that it made my skin sore. The stones were so hot that they were not enjoyable. Since this was a hot stone massage I had to be topless and when she was finished she just walked out of the room. She did not offer to even so much as hold up a sheet for me so that I could get dressed so I was forced to get dressed in front of a complete male stranger that was massaging my husband because for some reason his masseuse did not leave the room after the massage. My husband's masseuse was pressing so hard into his neck that his trachea was pressing into the bench and his throat hurt after the massage. When we tried to leave the lady at the front desk gave us attitude for not tipping. She didn't even ask if we enjoyed our experience, she was just harassing us for money. We left anyways, and these people started texting my cell phone asking me what they did wrong!!!! This place is completely unprofessional and a total joke, don't waste your money or time here. read more

AMAZING! I love coming here! First off, the service here is incredible. The receptionist is always so kind and makes recommendations on what's best for me. This past visit I had a group of 5 and they were able to accommodate us all at the same time. They have warm tea upon arrival and clean sandals. They brought us in as soon as everyone arrived and it's very soothing and peaceful. The massage itself is also great. They were able to get many knots out of my neck and back. My mothers lower back pain was relieved after the massage as well. Pricing is very fair and I will continue to come here. I already know that my partner would enjoy this and I can't wait to surprise them with a massage from here. I definitely recommend calling ahead because as we arrived it got busy. Thank you for having us! read more

A word of caution: this place is an OH-NO-No. I read great reviews prior to going, but should have given significantly more weight to the one-star reviews. You pay before the service which I'm sure they do to ensure no one refuses to pay after the service they receive based on the experience I had. While we waiting in the waiting room, a couple came out and the masseur started arguing with them and the front desk woman about their tip. Flag 1. They walked my friend and I to the beds and pointed. I had never been there before and had no idea if I should be dressed or undressed but you're in a fairly open room so kept my clothes on. They showed a pressure card and you point to which pressure you'd like due to the language barrier. You lay face down on a low table and they cover you with a thin sheet. The pressure was so hard my wind pipe was being pushed into the face hold to several points where I was having issues breathing. I asked FOUR times for lighter pressure. After the fourth time it was clear that the masseur turned to his friend and started talking about me. I would have asked 3-4 more times at least for lighter pressure had I not been made so uncomfortable. My friend's masseur was burping throughout, and due to the language barrier I had literally no idea what was going on. They "adjust" your clothing to get to your bare back which made me feel incredibly uncomfortable because, again, they don't preface what is about to happen (whether moving clothes or slapping your back with a steaming towel). From time to time he would just walk away for a few minutes again with no explanation so I wasn't sure if the massage was over or if I should just lay there. They don't ask for injuries, are not licensed, and I left feeling anything but relaxed. They follow you out of the room and stand in the waiting room to watch you tip. After the argument that occurred when we first got there we essentially took whatever we had, put it on the counter and walked out as fast as possible. I am in pain, my spine is bruised from the pressure, and I am more tense now than when I went in. read more

Massage was great, however if you don't tip to their standard, you'll get attitude. Minimum "recommended" is 12 dollars for what they call "ok" service, 15 for good, 20 for "excellent". Affordable pricing for 60min =$40, 70min= $48. read more

My wife and I went to Relax Feet the other day after not having been in 5+ years. We've been to many similar style of spa's so we felt like we had a good benchmark on expectations. A few notes if you've never been before - - the rooms are not private - but are not quite as exposed as some other spots - you typically take your shirt off for the portion of the massage on your back - given the lack of privacy this can be unexpected for some - this is not the four seasons - a regular hour treatment is $40 - and I believe it's a great value for the experience. Just set the right expectations! We did the 'regular' treatment which starts with a foot soak in hot water while they do a head and arm massage. Then it's an extended foot and leg treatment followed by back, neck, and shoulders. If I lived closer I would probably come once a month! read more

I had the absolute best massage of my life here. It feels like Kevin released every single spot of tension I had built up in my entire body. This spot is good, affordable and the staff is very friendly. However, our massages started at 7:05 but ended at 8:57. Would have really liked those extra minutes to be allocated to my shoulders instead of being cut short. More so, the rooms are covered with shear curtains which makes changing a little difficult. Iconic. For the price? Are you kidding? Amazing. Highly recommend. If you're in chicago please go

Rooms aren't private, no instruction of how to undress. Asked for deep pressure, I wanted to focus on my back and shoulder but half the time on my back. I didn't want my feet touched but language barrier prevented that so I had to say no multiple times. Not sure if this was just a joke to the massage person because he was massaging my knee caps?? He also grabbed my Achilles multiple times times for no reason and pulled on it. He massage behind my ears on the bone? Massaged my jaw and I am in pain the next day. Finally pointed him to where I actually wanted massage and all he did was just dig his elbow in today. I'm bruised up from it and I'm brown so that tells you a lot. Awful service from this particular guy, couldn't even tell you who it is cause they all wear masks. read more

This used to be my happy place. I've been a customer for 10 years and prior to the pandemic came here twice a month. I just started coming back last week last week and when I came in it was obvious the owner was arguing with someone over the phone. When she finished her call, I paid cash for 90 minutes and asked if I could use the restroom. She said, YES, GO! I was a little startled so I turned around and walked towards the bathroom. When I returned, she scolded me for not changing my shoes (which, had she reminded me I gladly would have). I forgot. I'm human. I apologized and she went on to scold me in front of a customer. Even stating that it's "not fair to the other customers" like I did it on purpose or was trying to be intentionally disrespectful. Not the case. There's a way to correct someone and remain professional, but the way she chose to yell at me was just embarrassing. What was supposed to be a relaxing 90 minutes, was spoiled & in hindsight I should've just asked for a refund before I went back in. I handed her my punchcard on the way out and said I would never return. I've brought so many people here through the years and we will not be back. How you treat people matters. read more

A couple of friends and I decided we needed a relaxing girls night after a tough work week. I called in the afternoon and easily picked a time. Glad we did because by the time we left, it was busy. This is the first time going here and I figured the pricing was too good to be true and set my expectations accordingly. I was so wrong! All three of us walked out of there completely relaxed and couldn't believe how good the experience was, even compared to the higher priced chain salons! Full body massage, foot soak and warm oil back massage plus the full hour instead of the 50 minutes at other places, and at a very reasonable price. Yes, it's a communal room and you can occasionally hear another person walking by, but there are dividers in place with light privacy curtains and soothing music for everyone to enjoy. We are planning to make this a monthly girls night! Thank you for taking great care of us! read more

I've been going to this location for years but unfortunately I had a horrible experience today. At the end of the visit I provided the woman that did my massage the amount of cash I had. She looked at the money with disgust and walked to the front and threw the money to the front desk. That's very disrespectful and inappropriate. I am really disappointed with this place. I've been going here for years and I feel like the past three times that I've went it's always been bad. I go here because I don't wanna get fully undressed. I don't feel comfortable when people are pushing at my butt. I don't think that's a massage!!! Lately every time I go here they tug on my bra trying to make me to take it off the tug on my pants trying to lower them to the middle of my butt. The only communication I've ever herd is the words "It's ok?" I try to communicate with the front desk what I want and it seems like it never reaches the person doing the massage. WHY HAVE A MENU WITH SERVICES WHEN YOU ARE JUST GONNA DO THE SAME EXACT SHIT EVERY TIME? I hate the fact that I have to say no every time and be made feel uncomfortable. I'm going for a massage not to feel weird and awkward after all. And no matter how many times you tell them to go light they just dig their thumbs into your neck until it hurts for days after and I'm honestly really pissed off. I don't know who is the type of person that enjoys pain after a massage for days but that's not me. If anybody reads this and has some good recommendations send them my way. This place is a NO. Sidenote, I asked to use their bathroom, and I almost threw up when I went in there. There was brown stuff on the wall by the toilet I immediately walked out disgusted . read more

Legit the most incredibly phenomenal massage I never knew could even exist. Tipped $25 but he deserved more. He put in the work and I could hear him catch his breath a few times, but he never stopped in his commitment to literally heal me & rid me of knots, pent up tension, and physical stress. It felt spiritually, truly, like he was therapeutically expelling stress/evil/trauma/demons from my body. My body is jello and I usually have too many knots for a masseuse to be able to make a lasting impact on, but this man is a wellness practitioner, a healer, a magician. Give him a raise, a medal, an EGOT, a million dollars, all of it. read more

NOT CLEAN ENOUGH THERE! They do not replace the covers on the massage tables after each customer! They just straighten out the towels used to cover the massage tables after each customer! This is my second time coming into this place and their pricing is probably the best thing. An hour massage for $68? That is a steal in this city. The experience overall is good. I have gotten the same package service twice but this second time my masseuse did it differently. The reason I come here is because I have extreme knots on my shoulders/blades. My masseuse knew exactly where they were and released all the tension I had. I don't really get relaxing vibes here but that's probably because I choose a level of a rougher massage. The only negative thing I can say about this place is that they are very adamant with suggested tips. When it's time to pay I tried giving the receptionist 20%. He didn't accept it because it "wasn't enough". I felt judged when I didn't have anymore cash to give. So then he proceeded to hand me a Venmo card. Other than that I walk outta here feeling like a brand new person. read more

On my way back from my 60 minute foot & back massage! I've only been at Relax Feet 1 other time (the first time I remember being like ooommmgggg that was amazing!) and this time I was just like "yeah aiight that was fine." The price for a 60 minute foot/back massage is 40, and I tipped my woman 20 based on their recommendation. I will say, my masseuse worked HARD! She was digging into my muscles and I could tell that she could tell when something didn't feel "right" in terms of my muscle structure. I am very familiar with massages and I do a lot of body work, so I have come across quite a few people that I could tell couldn't feel what a correctly functioning muscle structure felt like, and breezed past areas that could have used more TLC. At one point both me and my masseuse were giggling about my right shoulder because it was basically a rock! I didn't give this place a stellar review for a few reasons. First of all, as other folks have noted, the price used to be 28 for an hour. I'm all for supporting local business & folks in this industry- especially now- since COVID has completely flipped their earning potential. I don't think 40 is outrageous, but knowing that it used to be 28 for the same service is just a little eh. There wasn't anything that justified the extra price from last time, besides COVID. Regardless, as I mentioned, my lady did major work so I was happy to give her a 50% tip on a relatively cheap service, compared to other massages I've gotten. 2 things kept popping up in my head- in someone else's review, they referred to this place as the "fast food" of massages. That's true. Someone else said it's more of a "one massage fits all" style, and that's also true. Given the open room (beds are separated by screens which is not COVID specific, but their aesthetic) it is difficult to communicate with the person who is doing your massage to point out pain point areas or to adjust pressure. Also- I'll be a jerk for the sake of a true review- but there's an apartment above the business, and there must be children that live there as I heard them running back and forth and back and forth, and crying/yelling throughout the hour. I used to be a preschool teacher so before y'all come at me for being a Scrooge by mentioning kids just being kids, it wasn't something that ruined my experience by any means, but was noteworthy enough where I felt it was worth a mention. It might not be ideal for someone who is really looking for a pin-drop quiet experience. Overall, Relax Feet is a clean, professional, reasonably priced place to go if you're looking for a quick & dirty tune up. Obvi not that kind of dirty- you're fully clothed the whole time, you perv. Relax Feet won't be replacing my regular massage location by any means, but I will not hesitate to come here between massages or if I'm not looking for a full-out spa experience but still need some pain relief. I didn't get my woman's name, but again, she was lovely!! The lack of 5 stars is more so about the price/room layout/building structure stuff. read more

Always get an appointment when I call same-day. Just took advantage of my rewards card last time I went. Love their 90 min massages- definitely feel taken care of! I've been around 15 times and the one time I got 60min I felt it was a bit rougher and prefer the pamper. Every single masseuse is wonderful! Relax Feet was our "pre-party" destination before a Saturday night dinner with family on a recent weekend in Chicago... I know, I know - we're party animals, right?! In all seriousness, Relax Feet was a great way to unwind after a long week. I called on Saturday morning and they were super accommodating... I made a reservation for 5 of us to go for 90 minute massages later that afternoon. They got us in on time and worked out all of our kinks. Note: they do beat you up a little bit, but as long as you're okay deep pressure, you'll be good. This place doesn't have all the bells and whistles, but for the moderate prices, it's definitely time well spent! I'll look forward to returning on future visits to Chicago! read more
