My family and I went in for a 60-minute Swedish massage. Although they advertise they are a no frills, affordable massage place, their prices are the same as other reflexology massage places but the service is not as good. They did not ask for the reason for the visit, such as is it for aches, pain, soreness, etc. They didn't ask customers customers to take off their shoes and change into slippers. They didn't offer water after the massage either and massages make people thirsty. The massage was mechanical and not adapted to the customer. I'm used to massages where they can sense the knots and work them out, even at the reflexology places. Go to Top Feet in Roscoe Village. It's cheaper and better. I'm not sure how they got so many reviews and I'm wondering if the reviews are fake. At the end of the massage, they asked us to double our tip, which I felt was impolite. read more

Horrible massage. I had an older short Asian lady with a bob haircut. She didn't put any pressure on me at all. I asked for more pressure and she was just rubbing me gently. It was such a waste of money. I decided to give this chance one more time and unfortunately, got the same lady. She still didn't put any pressure. Just rub. I kept telling her more pressure but she wouldn't. I felt like she thought I was dumb and just went along with her laziness. This is a no frills spa that provides great service and value. Booking was easy and seamless, and the whole experience was professional. I had a deep tissue massage, and the masseuse made sure to check in regarding pressure a couple of times. They offered hot stones for $10 additional, and it is worth it! Especially on a cold winters day, the heat from the stones warmed my body. I left feeling far less muscle tension and very relaxed. I can't remember my masseuse's name but she worked on my muscle tightness in my back and in my neck as well as all the knots. Let me tell you, my therapist was amazing. She exactly knew how much pressure to apply. She offered more time but I felt if I stayed on that bed any longer I would not be going anywhere! Kingston Reflexology Management, So I normally love coming here and come here often. I've brought almost every person in my family and often buy gift certificates as gifts. However tonight was a real disappointment. My cousin and I booked massages together. Twice throughout the appointment the woman who was massaging my cousin left the room to answer the phone! Also her phone kept falling out of her pocket and hitting my cousin while she was getting her massage. Then they didn't have change to break a $20 for tipping. So my cousin was forced to give the woman who worked on her a $20 tip even though she got sub par service. My massage was just ok so I tipped $10 being that they didn't have change to break a $20 and the only other bill I had on me was a $10, which was a more than fair amount. However, the woman had the nerve to complain $10 was not enough of a tip since my cousin tipped her woman $20 (even though she was forced to because they didn't have change to break the $20) This is absolutely horrible customer service! To leave a massage TWICE to answer the phone. To not have change to break a $20 for tipping. And then to complain about a $10 tip! That's ridiculous! This is the one and only time I've had this happen here. I certainly hope you address this issue with your staff because this was extremely unacceptable and should not be tolerated at ANY establishment. I was looking for an affordable massage that is close to my house. "Kingston Reflexology," near the Six Corners area in Portage Park, had a stellar rating, and I read through a few Yelp reviews just so I could roughly get a picture of what this place was about. Although I believe I've had a better experience elsewhere in the past, I would say my 60-minute combo massage deal wasn't too shabby. The lady who performed the work on me spoke limited English. I guess I could have communicated with her in Chinese, yet there wasn't a need since the pressure she applied was fine for the most part. Overall, I felt comfortably relaxed, with soothing, peaceful music playing in the background. In other words, it was what I would expect for $45. The hot towels she had laid on me weren't too hot. Thank God because she didn't give me a heads up BEFORE she rubbed them on my body and feet. She systematically and thoroughly worked through my back, my neck, my arms, and finished up on my feet. No shortcuts were made. Yes, as some other Yelpers mentioned in their reviews, the walls between rooms were thin. I could hear every slamming door, but I booked the last appointment of the day at 8:30pm and was the only patron at that time. The disturbance, therefore, was very minute. They do prefer tipping in cash. Option to leave a tip on your credit card is available, yet a $2 convenience fee will be added. I will probably book another session with them in the future because they open late, and I can easily make an appointment on their website. read more

This is NOT a professional massage. I got a 60 min deep tissue which was $70. It was not deep tissue and not good. It was an Asian woman jabbing her elbow into my spinal column and she did not massage my neck or my arms. This was a $28 Chinese Accupressure massage performed with rubber gloves on that I paid $80 for. I'm not sure where the positive reviews came from. Shady. Save your money and go to Relax Feet and get a better massage for $28. read more

Came here for a 90 minute couples massage. To start off the massage started 10 minutes late. Through the massage the masseuse left the room multiple times to see who came in and answer their questions. Realizing they were the only two in the shop I assumed I would get an extra few minutes since he left the room multiple times; however, our massage ended exactly at 90 minutes not even compensating the 10 minutes they started late. To top it off at the end lady (Lina) then demanding I give them more of a "tip" because my tip was too "little", for the service our tip was plenty. I explained that tips are optional and that I did not need to give her more. She continued to be extremely rude and demanding. I definitely do not recommend going here. read more

The best thing about this place was probably the price and the proximity to my home. Everything else was just meh. I walked into my appointment and he asked if I preferred a man or woman. I said woman and he responds with, "Oh... they're all working." ....ok why did you ask then? So I said male was fine. They put a pillow at the headrest for some reason. I didn't know why so I laid on it thinking he'll pull it away and tell me to put my head through the headrest when he started. He didn't and I spent the entire massage trying to breath through one side of my nose... At this point, I lost all expectation for a good massage and thought, let's get this over with. The table creaked with every move he made. He pretty much gave me a Swedish massage when I asked for a deep tissue (I had pulled my neck and had horrible neck and shoulder pain.) I felt like he was barely putting any pressure at all. He asked how the pressure was and I told him that I wanted more pressure but nothing really changed at all. The worst part was that at times, he was rubbing my back with his arm and then he would just come to a halt. No movement at all. Because he was using his forearms, I could feel that he was leaned over and I could hear his breathing. This happened a couple of times and lasted about 5-10 seconds until I would adjust myself to hint that I was awake and WTH was he doing. It was incredibly awkward and I just wanted to get out of there immediately. If I ever try it again for the price, I'll make sure I get a female next time to avoid that incredible awkwardness. read more

Did some shopping in the area, then headed here for the 2 for 1 special on their Yelp page. The whole place is very clean with calm ambient lighting for you to relax. We came on a dead day so we were lucky get treated right away. After getting settled in, both masseuses got right to business without hesitation. I noticed many knots in my back and shoulder as I was worked on. It took about 20 painful elbow rolls over each of them to get rid of too. I must say that I was very impressed with the performance of my masseuse. At one point, I noticed she got on top of my back and used her knees to release a lot of tension on my lats and lower back. It was amazeballs! I even had goosebumps throughout majority of the session. Totally forgot to ask for her name since we were in a rush. Just ask for the girl with the pony tail that uses her knees Haha! Overall, the staff did great and were very professional during the whole process. Recommend to anyone in need nearby. I also used the infrared sauna which was a nice add on feature. I will definitely come here again. The decor was new and clean. The rooms were spacious and sauna was private. I received a gift certificate for my birthday for a deep tissue massage. The place is clean, pretty and pretty straightforward. No extra bells and whistles like cucumber water or other dodads. However let's not get it twisted this place is hands down a gem!! My masseuse (hmmm did I spell that right?...whatever lol ) was amazing I mean amazing. She had a great technique, really went in there to breakdown the tension/stiffness in my upper back, legs, etc. Her process was so clean too. Meaning hot towels for the back (yay!!). Long overdue. They do a really good job. I had the deep tissue massage on my first visit. And have been back 3 times for that. Second time a foot massage. Had Ana do both. I love when they can do it really hard, Ana was able to do it perfectly. I hate when at some of the other places I could barely feel anything. Not everyone likes that, but I do. It was $40 for deep tissue . Don't remember the price of the foot massage as I had my boyfriend with me this time, and he was the one paying. Very clean, professional and relaxing. I had really bad knots in my back and shoulders and she worked hard and applied the right amount of pressure in different areas to try and get them out. From the moment I called to make an appointment the lady on the phone already seemed pretty rude in the way she spoke. Either way I made the appointment because of some of the good reviews and I wanted to try a new place. As soon as we entered the lady in front said "you have an appointment?". Didn't even bother to greet or say hello to us. She took us into the sauna room and didn't explain what to do or how long we will be in there. The massage was scheduled for 7:30. It was already 7:40 and the lady said they didn't have a room available yet. We waited Until she took us into the massage room and again... she didn't explain anything just walked us in and closed the door.... the ladies for the massage didn't say hello or ask us if we had any pain anywhere in our body or what we wanted to be targeted more ...... the massage itself was pretty good .... at the end of the services, When checking out the lady didn't ask if we were leaving a tip. She said "so how are you leaving the tip" And I'm sorry I hate to leave a bad review but I wouldn't want this for anyone ! Especially when anyone that goes for a service is because they want to feel welcome and relaxed. Customer service should be number 1 at any place!!!!!! My boyfriend and I make it a point to take care of our bodies with massages since we are nail technicians and are sitting up all day. All that is hard on our shoulder, back and arms. We usually go to another place but have been getting turned off by how they run their business. We decided to try Kingston and we loved it! We got our massages from Nancy and Lucy. We loved them so much we even got their names so we can see them next time we go there. The room was intimate with just 4 chairs, soft music and their lotion didn't smell like the cheap stuff you get by the bucket. I booked an appointment for my husband to get a foot massage for Father's Day, made it well in advance, and got the email confirmation. He shows up today and they say they don't use the booking system anymore THAT'S ON THEIR WEBSITE (under the tab Book Appointment). Ummm then take it off your own website if you don't actually want people making appointments through it. Can't speak for the actual services but the CUSTOMER service at this place flat out sucks; guess you can't trust a place by it's good reviews all the time. read more
