Just ok. That pretty much sums up my experience. I got the Swedish massage and the lady was digging her elbow in my back. I've never had a Swedish massage where someone digs their elbow in my back. I feel they do the same massage for everyone and there is no attention paid to someone's individual needs. This is fine if the establishment is charging $29 as most other massage places do that give everyone the same massage in a big room. So I guess here you are paying more money for a private room. The bed wasn't heated. I was cold every time she took the blanket off a section. The bed didn't have a head cradle at the top, was rather a hole in the table where you stick your head. At first I hated this as it was uncomfortable but I didn't get a stuffy nose like I typically do with the face cradles. So I preferred this. I don't understand the tea house portion of the name. They had random boxes of tea on a shelf in the waiting area..... Overall, if you get a "deal" then I'd say come here. I would not recommend it for the full price as you can get more customized massages elsewhere. read more

I came here through Groupon for a 1-hour Swedish massage. They had a lot of openings and I could get the time and day I wanted. Upon arrival I explained I have spine and neck pain, and I was offered to upgrade to a deep tissue massage for $10 more. The room was dimly lit, very clean and there was pleasant tranquil piano music. I loved the atmosphere. My masseuse (Amy) was very good: she asked me beforehand about ongoing issues, told me to warn her if whatever she was doing hurt, and asked my permission to also massage my head/hair (apparently not everybody wants that- it was so good!) I liked that Amy made sure to give attention to my leg which I have injured, without ignoring it all together or overdoing things. I could tell from her technique she knows what she is doing. I will definitely be checking back if there are deals to go here again, or ask for a gift card for Christmas. read more

Once again, Groupon let me down for a massage! And, something that rarely happens...Yelp let me down too! I was actually more stressed once I left this joint than I was before I arrived. No happy ending here! The table in the massage room was a very basic table with a face hole. The table had limited padding and there was no cushion around the face hole. I absolutely hate these kind of massage tables! It was quite uncomfortable for my face and was not relaxing at all. There really should be a cushioned headrest at the very least. Heated table...optional, but nice Armrest...optional, but nice Adjustable headrest...optional, but nice MANDATORY...Stable padded table with a headrest! The room was not completely enclosed, so I could hear staff/patrons walking back and forth and talking. Also, I could hear loud footsteps coming from upstairs. In addition, to make matters worse, I heard a dog barking intermittently. As for the actual massage, I stated I only wanted upper body. I had to tell her several times "only back, neck, shoulders & arms". There was an obvious language barrier, which was extremely frustrating. She was not there to listen to what I wanted or needed. She obviously had a familiar routine she performs for everyone and I threw her off. She seemed unable to deviate from her regimen. I was sooooo uncomfortable face down, I finally turned over on my back. My experience went from bad to worse! She had zero technique for massaging my neck and shoulders. It felt the same as if I were to tell a 10 year old kid to rub my neck and shoulders. sKeriously! With sooooo many massage places popping up with various internet deals, try to avoid what I experienced by asking questions BEFORE you purchase a "deal". Private room?? Enclosed room?? Type of table: padded, heated, arm rest, adjustable headrest Masseuse articulate in English?? 2 days later and my neck is still a bit sore from the bad massage, which is quite annoying to say the least. My boyfriend and I arrived for a couples massage and they had double booked two appointments by phone, which we then had to get on the phone with the manager to sort out due to a language difference. I would suggest maybe an automatic booking system? That would make it more reliable to get a confirmed time for bookings. The massage was pretty good but it was a bit tough with elbows digging in to shoulder blades. I would prefer it less intense, but there was a language barrier so it was harder to communicate. Just got done with a "massage" here. Holy S**t! OUCH! First, as I usually don't have a problem with man on man massages.. this guy had the most callused and roughest hands ever...like sandpaper gloves. AND it did not help that he was smoking a cigarette 5 seconds before the massage and wreaked. Then, he was sniffling and coughing all over me.. so I politely asked for him just to focus on my feet... well, he started huffing and puffing about it barely tapping my feet. I'd say for the price ($68 per 60-minute massage) and quality of massages, this is the place to go. The staff is attentive and checks in with you all the time to ensure the pressure is ok. I needed to last minute appointment for a back/shoulder pain I had from a very stressful week. When I called, I was pleasantly surprised by very nice and helpful costumer service. When I came in for my appointment, I explained what was wrong and I was recommended the Deep Tissue & Thai Combo with Hot Stones. I went for it and met Prisana (aka Ana)!! I can't even explain how amazing she really was!! She started gently and slowly worked the problem areas. I instantly started feeling relief. The Thai implementation was amazing and first time experience for me, I loved it. She ended with oils and hot stones, which also felt amazing. Disgusting. Don't go! Blankets and sheets on the beds are dirty and random. Went in feeling good...left with a sore back. My "therapist" didn't understand any English and when I repeatedly requested lighter pressure she did not get it. Didn't see the flashing neon sign in the window when I went in...Or I wouldn't have. My sister and I went to this lovely little place for prenatal massages last week. She was 23 weeks and I was 34 weeks. The experience was wonderful from start to finish. The location is convenient, we found free street parking right out front, and got delicious tea at the coffee shop next door before our massages (they also have tea there but we were early). I can only speak to my massage (my sister also had wonderful things to say, but I'll let her do that in a separate review), but it was the best I've ever had. I've had sporadic massages in varying settings, including at a 5-star hotel in Bali, medispas, etc, and though I don't consider myself any sort of expert, this massage struck me as extremely professional and truly therapeutic, as opposed to just a "feel-good" Swedish massage. My masseuse, Karen, was super knowledgeable, used exactly the right amount of pressure (just below the threshold of being painful, but always checking in to make sure it wasn't too much), and seemed like a genuinely lovely person. She found areas I didn't even know were tight and sore, and all of the knots in my back are gone! The massage was extremely thorough, which I appreciated. At times it was a bit intense but it was well worth it! I was pleasantly surprised with how many areas they covered that needed tension released! I didn't realize how many knots I had in my shoulders, until I left and felt how different my shoulders felt. The only thing I would change is the massage table which was not of the most comfortable kind. They gave us slippers to change into and right on the time of our appointment we were invited into our room. I have to say that I was super satisfied with my massage the woman who did my massage was amazing!!!!!! I absolutely loved it! Never had a massage this good before. It is a massage with only underwear no clothe.. which I loved! The lady was very respectful as to keep my privates covered and it felt strictly professional... since all other massages I've ever done have been reflexology with clothe on and they have been super rough and not satisfying. This one was relaxing and amazing! Every part of my body was massaged and also stretched! The stretches felt great!! I'm bummed that when I got out the lady that massaged me wasn't around I would have loved to know her name... but the person who took care of us after the massage at front desk wasn't as friendly as the person that took care of me when I arrived and the 4 star is for that reason. I was asked if I would like to tip and I said of course! I only had $10 cash so I figured i would do $5 for one and $5 for the other person... and she with attitude said we require $10 as a minimum... my first thought was okay what if I would have said no?...not that I didn't want to tip or thought they didn't deserve it because I had no problem with that but after an amazing experience I'm a bit sad it had to end with that awkward feeling at the end of it... nowhere did it say $10 tip minimum so I kind of felt forced to leave a $20 tip after so just a heads up!
