We really liked that, even though it's one big room after the reception, the partitions enclosed off areas made it feel like we were in a private area for just us. I had been having a lot of pain in my feet from working out, and I tend to carry a lot of pain and stress in my neck. They truly got rid of my pain and it was relaxing. I have a membership with another spa monthly, and this was a little bit cheaper, but a lot more successful in getting rid of my pain. I will be returning soon, and will definitely be giving this experience as gifts for Christmas. Thank you!!

I had a combo massage and overall my massage was good, not the best, not the worse, still relaxing. This place is a hidden gem in Chicago. Though it's not luxurious, it's very clean, relaxing and the massages are so good & relaxing that it had me falling asleep. If you're looking for a really good massage and don't care about it being at a fancy spa, this is the place for you.

I've come here a few times and had a decent experience, however, today I was pretty disappointed in…read moremy experience. There are several rooms, and I was placed in one similar to one that I've been placed in for a couples massage with my boyfriend. Probably 15 minutes into my massage I heard more people enter the room I was in. My head was down so the uncertainty of who was coming into the room made me nervous due to the exposure with a massage. I soon came to learn that I was paired up with an older man (was certain of this since I was constantly hearing his deep breathing). They did pull out a divider between us, however, there's a chance that the man saw me on my table since there is only one door for entering room. Being a younger female, this experience really made me feel uncomfortable. It was a Thursday at 10:30am so this placement could have been prevented. I don't like to leave lower reviews, however, I wanted to share this to prevent these type of placements in the future.

I found Moon Massage when I was looking for a real deal massage without having to shell out a lot…read moreof money for it. They offer a variety of massages: deep tissue, reflexology, Thai, chair massage by the minute, etc. and have reasonable prices for them. I decided to treat myself to a two hour massage and was able to get a next-day appointment on their website. The massage studio itself is fairly bare bones: you won't find fluffy robes and sparkling water here. When you arrive they have you take off your shoes and give you house slippers. The staff is always very friendly and welcoming. The individual rooms are more like stalls in that the barriers between them don't go all the way to the ceiling, so that means you can hear things from other customers, but it's usually not that big of a deal as people tend to be quiet. They offer relaxing music but don't pay for the service so occasionally you have to hear an ad, but you'll be so blissed out from the massage you won't notice it. The massage therapists really know what they're doing. They'll start by kneeling on you (not as creepy as it sounds) and they will really dig into your knots. They're receptive to feedback if the pressure gets too intense or if there are areas you need avoided. You might not feel the effects of the massage right away, but after a good hot shower and a sleep you'll feel far more limber and in less pain. They also offer couples massages for any duo. When you check out they give you a Thai hard candy and a water bottle.
