Hands down my favorite massage space I've been to in Chicago! Massages: my husband and I usually opt in for 90 minute massages. Depending on the massage therapists, we are able to get our massages done as a couples massage in the same room. Sometimes we have to separate because of space restrictions (husband is 6'5), but we normally don't mind if that happens! The massages are always so strong and I always feel leaving so relaxed. The therapists are very strong so don't be afraid to speak up if the massage is a bit too intense at any time! Therapists: all the therapists are so nice and wonderful! You cannot go wrong with who to pick. The lady at the front (possibly the owner?) is always so sweet and welcoming. Overall, if you are looking for a more luxurious spa experience, this isn't going to be the place for you; but if you're looking for a really good massage worth the money, book your massage online asap. read more

My boyfriend and I booked a 90 minute couples massage here and didn't know what to expect. The spa was clean and efficient but it was our most favorite massage. It wasn't bad by any means, but if you're looking for a glamorous "spa" experience, this isn't it. This is a perfect spot for someone looking to get a massage but it's a little loud in there (since it's right by the L) and the music wasn't the most relaxing. I've been here about 4 times now and every time I leave I keep thinking I should just come back sooner. I'm a hairstylist who works 8 hours a day standing on my feet along with extracurricular sports on the side and I often forget that I could have deep rooted soreness and pain that needs to be worked out but BOY DO THEY WORK IT! When I tell you this was the best massage I've ever had, I'm serious! Working from home has been great, except that without a real desk and office chair, my neck and back seem to be in constant pain. To the point where I'd get terrible headaches, so I knew I needed to go get some knots worked out, which in the past hasn't been the most relaxing experience although I know it needs to be done. However, this was the first massage I've ever had where when the woman asked if there were any areas I'd like her to focus on, she genuinely listened and cared! It didn't feel like she was just running through the motions, she assessed which side was move tense and then was able to work out the knots and still provide a relaxing and comfortable massage! One of the best massages I ever had! I have a spot on my back that always hurts, but this past weekend I moved to the city from the suburbs, and after moving and unpacking, my back was in such bad shape that it hurt just to breathe too deeply. After reading the reviews, I knew this was the place that could help, and I was right! A previous reviewer mentioned that this isn't entirely a relaxing massage, and I agree - however, it hurt so good! My back is now so much less tense and feels way better than it did. The massage was excellent. My boyfriend said it's the best massage he's ever had, and the massage therapist took the time to speak to him about the benefits of massage, cupping, etc. - when he should utilize one over the other, and in general provided a lot of education about how to best care for our bodies. AMAZING deep tissue massage in a clean and relaxing environment--just the right amount of frills to take your mind off day to day stressors. My partner had his massage by Jenny and I believe my therapist's name was Li. Both of us had a *great* massage, one of the best we've had in years. Li used a good amount of pressure and basically read my mind in terms of where I wanted/need knots worked out. I have super sensitive, eczema-prone skin and the oils used did not irritate it. I can't speak for the rest of the massage types but the deep tissue was in a private room on a massage table, basically what you'd expect in a Western spa. I can't wait to go back! read more

I have been waiting to get a massage for the longest time and came here today after finding it on yelp. I got a 60 minute deep tissue. The lady stepped on my back and it cracked like 5 times which felt incredible. I've never gotten that before but highly recommend. They get real deep into your pressure points and lean into them with their elbows. If you're really tense or have a lot of knots then it's kinda painful at the beginning. But as the massage goes on your back eases up and it feels so good. They honestly got into all the tough spots on my body from head to toe. Places I've never even thought were tense they dug into and it felt great. I left there feeling super relaxed and like a noodle. Overall experience was amazing and it's only a couple blocks away from my apartment so I'll continue to come back. read more

Overall solid experience. Tuesdays and Saturdays they have a discount where an hour is ~$60 instead of their usual posted price. The spa also has an online booking system that makes it really easy to book a reservation, even same day. Their lobby is very cutely decorated, with a large zen sand garden coffee table. The lobby staff was very cheerful and swapped my shoes out for some adidas rubber slides right away, and was giving out small bottles of water. They were able to get you through to your masseuse promptly. The rooms are fairly small, and bare bones and simple. The music was a little strange at times but played at a low volume so not really distracting. Massage was solid. The masseuse was a bit haphazard with her technique at times and seemed like she kind of lacked a plan. We went back and forth and she incorporated feedback into the process. She used her elbows extensively. Overall a relaxing experience and a very good deal at their specials price. read more

It was easily the best massage I've ever received. Consistent firm pressure (as I requested) AND she checked in with me several times throughout the massage. She did some walking on my back and legs which I didn't expect and was pleased with the results. I have a terrible back... I've tried... everything. I was hesitant to call Reflexion down the street from me in Lakeview for the first time in March because I've tried it all to cure my back pain- massage envy, chiropractors, yoga, stretching, you name it. But I couldn't resist a check in offer off a 90 minute massage. Upon walking into my scheduled appointment, I met my massage therapist Jessica. Who looked about 80 pounds. Oh great I thought.... this girl is too tiny to have any strength to dig into my sore muscles. WRONG I was! This woman has the strength of a sumo wrestler, and I was instantly proven wrong. I've seen Jessica now a handful of times and it's like she's reading my mind, she walks on my back, stretches while digging into my muscles oh AND I actually feel better after I leave for weeks! On top of it, the place is clean, relaxing, and extremely well priced. I paid $63 for a 60 minute massage the other week. Can't be beat!!! This is one of our best experiences. The therapist Rose and Nora really knew what they were doing and you could tell that they were well trained licensed professionals.
