I booked a couples massage (combo w/stretching/deep tissue) for my husband and I warning him that Thai massages can be different than typical American massages--he doesn't get regular massages like I do. I've had previous experience with Thai massages and knew what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised that he loved it and wants to go back! These people know what they're doing. I have consistent upper/middle back tension/knots and I felt great walking out of there. The stretching they do can be intimidating for some but, I know how important it is for the human body to stay limber (especially as we age) and I love it. Highly recommend this place, especially if you have back pain &/or knots that need to be worked out. Don't be shy about communicating your needs & wants. They are very nice and accommodating. One of the better Thai massages around. We had couples 120 minute Massages. The therapists were extremely professional and the pressure was on par. Will definitely go back on a regular basis. My back was so tight that I actually didn't even feel much aches anymore. It was that bad! This is probably one of, if not THE BEST deep tissue massage I've ever had. My masseuse is the dream massage therapist I always wish I would have whenever I feel localized back pain (knots) - she's the knot finder and attacker lol. Warning: it is not going to be a relaxing massage, but if you need someone who can find knots and work tirelessly on them, Sue is your lady. It was good pain!! Combining this with the stretching, it felt like a complete package of what I need. My back was pretty much tenderized after 1 hour. Though I know I need to go back for more sessions to slowly get all the knots and tension out. Their price is reasonable as well. I cannot recommend this place enough. My husband had a massage here and said it was the best he had in years, so I gave it a try today. I had so many knots in my neck and shoulders that I was getting headaches almost every day. There are massages and then there are MASSAGES. This was a MASSAGE. It was the best I have ever had. My masseuse was so nice, and asked me how much pressure I would like and where my problem areas were. It felt almost like a procedure. She would find a knot and then chase it until it surrendered. I felt like I had new shoulders by the time she was done, and I was so relaxed I could barely summon the energy to get off the table by the end. I got an incredible massage here! It was easy to book and walking distance from my house. Hands down the most affordable and best massage I've had in the US. Before starting my masseuse asked if there were any areas I wanted targeted - I'd had a stiff shoulder after WFH and a fall a little bit ago and she completely got rid of the stiffness. We had a little payment accident and they were super responsive and quick at fixing the error - I've worked with those machines before and it's SO easy to hit the wrong button. Patrick damn near saved my life! I have been very stressed for months, had a heartbreak, moved, drove 32 hours, and have been having crazy migraines that affect my vision. After 60 minutes with Patrick, I almost feel normal again! He did so much to get rid of the knots and really took his time to heal me. I honestly can only positive things about his massage. Might be one of the best of my life! The price is cheaper than most places around. Make sure you tip at least 25% because these are quality massages for a decent price. I visited with Thai massage professional Pearl yesterday. She has apparently only come to Chicago recently. She is very personable, and communicated well during the massage. Authentic Thai-trained massage is my preference, and Pearl is clearly well-trained in the procedure. After an hour I left comfortable and relaxed. The massage location is (for me) conveniently located in the Uptown neighborhood, in the same building with the Green Mill, Chicago's oldest continually-operating bar and Jazz Club. Decided to try this place in my neighborhood due to the really great prices and I couldn't have been happier I did. I feel like a new woman. I got the combo, and every ounce of tension in my body is gone. Anne took care of me and I will definitely be returning to see her. She was so respectful and so kind and I can't say enough how great I've been feeling after and during my 60 minutes. The stretches were new to me and she guided me through it all and I am literally obsessed. Took off a star solely on how I was greeted. A man came down to let me in and didn't really acknowledge me at all even when I walked into the space. If I could give more than 5 stars I'd be more than happy to. My therapist, Kate, was phenomenal. Always delicately checking in with me to ensure that the the deep tissue massage wasn't too much for me to handle. I took it like a champ though because I knew it was temporary and much needed. Not to mention, I was thrilled that they had availability for me on the same day I inquired about their services. Now, there are still less expensive massage places I love, which I have reviewed via yelp (so check them out!), but Thai Siri offered so much more meticulous care that I had not experienced before except in other countries... A little (long winded) back story... Last spring I took a vacation to Paris (and a myriad of other French regions). On the day I was to fly back to Chicago, it was delayed. Thankfully, I discovered this information before heading to the airport. While I'm a chronically anxiously and catastrophically minded person, I was surprisingly thrilled of this news. I mean, who wouldn't LOVE to spend an extra day in Paris of all places!? The only problem was that I had no plans. And to those who know me well, I'm ALWAYS seeking out massages. I felt I needed one after spending only a week in France, which was exhausting due to jet lag and trying to travel to and experience as many regions within the country that I possibly could within such a short time span. When I initially arrived in Paris, I spent a couple days in the city. Then I took the thousand+ mile journey to Nimes on train and eventually rented a car down to Marseilles and the Mediterranean. I then took a brief flight back to Paris for another day or so. On my last extra-bonus day in Paris I figured I would spend my time just making it the most chill day possible. Luckily, my hotel was within walking distance of all these "massage parlors" that were, uh, obviously not what I was in need of... their google reviews included photos of Asian women in lingerie and what not (you get the idea). But I got lucky and found a traditional Thai Bodywork massage establishment. Mind you, I had never experienced a true-to-its-roots "thai massage" before in my life. They were great, don't get me wrong, but I was not expecting the 4'10" grandma therapist to roll me me over and perform what I can only describe as a mammory and intestinal massage. I let all embarrassment go because I'm sure this was common amongst the Thai community. Plus, the waiting room had other French women around my age waiting for their own massages. I wanted to share my past experience with you so I could adequately review Thai Siri Body in Chicago. Kate was soft spoken, and while I could not always understand her due to her accent at first, she knew everything I was saying and was respectful of my needs. Instead of being butt naked, I was relieved to have her set out a pair of loose fitted pants and a tank top for me. The prices, especially for their services, I felt were extremely reasonable. She worked everything I confided to her that I was physically having trouble with, with vigor and passion, but never forgot to work on the rest of my anatomy. I'm going to be coming back here every 2-3 weeks. I see no need for chiropractic work because in my research, their prices are the same (for those who do not accept insurance) and massage, in and of itself, is much safer in my opinion than some of the crazy manipulations I've witnessed by chiros. I had a really great experience here while visiting from out of state. It took us a little while to find parking on a Saturday night, since it's located at a pretty busy intersection. I'd plan to allot a little more time for parking if you're driving. The space is located upstairs on the 2nd floor and seems unassuming at first. Space is on the smaller size but it's clean and inviting. I didn't get to catch the name of our massage therapists (we were a group of 3), but they were all really wonderful and friendly. My massage therapist definitely tailored her work to my areas of pain that I informed her about, so I really appreciated it. She was very skilled and thoughtful! Review Summary: I highly recommend Thai Siri. Like many, I do not leave reviews often. I've been getting massages for a while now, a while is like 12 years or something. I've been in the continuous search of a deep tissue massage for my neck, upper shoulders, and mid-back for years. I'm a passive client, though. I don't speak up, I suffer through things, I am disappointed, and just never return. When I find someone, I follow them to different salons when they have switched or moved into private practice. Since Covid, I've not had a massage much less hugged a person in almost 1.5 years. Feeling like it was time to do some self-care, I turned to Yelp to help me. I picked Thai Siri because of its positive reviews, reasonable prices, and proximity to my home. I had medium expectations but also had backups ready to call just in case. I called on a Friday around 4pm and they got me in on a Sunday afternoon. Disclaimer: I am not a person who needs the full spa experience with herbal scents throughout the business, a waiting area, soft robes, or pre-game mimosas. It's an office building on the 2nd floor. I was 5 min early and was shown right into a room. The rooms do not have doors, they have hanging sheets like a 70s boudoir. The bed is not a standard massage table. There is a head cradle but the bed is wider and sturdier. I started with an oversized scarf covering my back, face down, wearing just my underwear. Before going further, I must tell you about Katie. She was the utmost, professional therapist. Barefoot and mask on, I felt totally comfortable our entire session. I did not have a sheet on my lower half as expected. She used an oversized hand towel over my underwear and moved it around as she needed for leverage. She didn't say much but that was totally fine by me. I didn't feel pressured to make small talk with her and when I did give feedback, she made the adjustment right away. Without hesitation, I highly recommend her. The massage itself is not for the light of heart. When I booked the appointment, I went with the Thai Combination Healing Bodywork massage. I normally would have booked the deep tissue massage but thought the combination was a good entry point for a new place. There were knees, elbows, thumbs, feet, a walker, some oils, lots of stretching - like figure 4 stretches, twists, Katie pulling my arms back like a modified Titanic pose. There was lots and lots of pressure and digging into my shoulder blades. It was a full-body massage, head to toe, and involved her actually standing on my legs and lower back using the walker for support. At points, my top half was exposed due to the stretching but as I said, Katie was a professional and I felt totally safe. The session was supposed to be 60 min. We went 85 min and she charged me for the 60 min session. Be a good human and tip your service workers generously, especially if they go above and beyond expectations. I wrote this review because I literally feel like this massage has jump-started me out of the Covid fog and reminded me that I need to take care of myself. I'm pretty sure this isn't a weekly thing, maybe a monthly thing, but this reset so many things for me. I hope you can have a similar experience. read more

If you're very sensitive or tender this massage will RUIN YOU as it almost ruined me and I have a fairly high pain tolerance. The masseuse is CRAZY strong and she uses parts of her body to manipulate you in ways I've never been manipulated. It wasn't relaxing and it didn't feel *good* per se, but I felt like things that needed to be done were being done. Afterwards I started uncontrollably sobbing in my car, like it got released from the (incredibly priced) massage. The people inside the Starbucks I was parked outside of must have really enjoyed that sight! LOL The rest of the week, however, I felt like I had increased mobility, better posture, and in general was experiencing moving around in comfort and alignment. I would definitely do it again, but this time take an aspirin or CBD in advance to take a little bit of the edge off. read more
