I went in with pain and left feeling really great! I feel so fortunate to have the ease of Relax Foot nearby. It's never hard to get an appointment and the masseuses are also very, very focused on you and talented. The hourly is $40-50. I suggest a generous tip of $20-40. Plan for that. $20 is suggested but they deserve more. read more

Went for a 30 minute $30 massage, very good for the price and time! Had a male masseuse, no issues with him. Friends also got massage same time as well. Would come back. read more

I have been coming here for a few years now and have always had a great experience. Found them on Groupon but they had a better deal at the salon (hour full body massage with hot stones) and I've been doing this one ever since. $42 can't beat that price! I've had a different person every time and they've all been good. They play relaxing music and the place is quiet. I took my boyfriend here for our anniversary last year and he even really enjoyed it. Said it was the best massages he's had as well. read more

Hour massage for $33??? This is a deal! Head to feet massage including temple and back. It's not creepy like some other places, just has curtains for separation. Clothes stays on, nobody is asked to change into a gown or anything. read more

Saw this on the bus today and decided to give it a try on my last day of this wonderful city of Chicago. The masseuse was very polite and it was a relaxing massage for a very reasonable price. The massage involved a 10 minute head and neck, 20 minute foot, calf, and thigh, and 30 minute back portions. I think if there was a little more specific work it would be overall better, but I was very happy with how everything felt and made for a great last day. read more

The amount of whiny, self-entitled adult brats giving 1-2 star reviews are absolutely pitiful. Notice all their profile photos have something in common.... Seriously. Shut the hell up. You went to this place because you wanted reflexology/ a massage for cheap. You wanted to experience a private spa day out of this world because you're unhappy with your day-to-day first world stresses, but are too cheap to consider anything on yelp with more than one dollar sign next to it. You are also so extremely ignorant to proper tipping etiquette (No stupid... the way you tip UberEats is not the same rate/percentage you tip someone to pamper you, massage you, deal with your nasty feet & end of day body funk). Literally these employees work as consistently as possible, which requires fully hand strength utilization through the full hour (or more) & then on to the next. You're complaining about "technique & not enough pressure"? Do you go to the barber/salon, sit at the chair, and expect them to start cutting your hair without direction? Communication is key, regardless if you are just a passive-aggressive 2-faced wimp that probably still smiled on their way out. Your part as customer/client/investor is to communicate your expectations before the service/product/project has started. The professional/vendor/ business will then explain what can be done based on their capabilities. You then can choose if you would like to continue. Anyways...... For those who DO understand basic business etiquette & understand what tier market of massage this business belongs to, this place is very clean, relaxing, professional & provides an experience/ service that hits well above any other 'value' reflexology establishment! Receptionist communication is clear & hospitable (very calm & soft tone). Ambiance is nicely dimmed with plenty of dividers for each individual table. Reflexologist applies a good amount of pressure and is observant to ensure that the pressure is okay if they notice a certain exhaling reaction. If you communicate for more or less pressure, they will adjust! They take credit card! Which is very convenient for tipping (just a $1 surcharge if you are tipping with card instead of cash. I went in for the 1 hour oil & hot stone massage which is around $42. Tipped them $20 because I knew what to expect, knew the value, appreciated the art of the service they provide, enjoyed my experience & understood that this isn't a Denny's. read more

Love, Love, Love. Went here yesterday for a 60 minute foot massage and it was amazing. This spot is definitely being added to my monthly self care plans. The staff was kind and the experience was so relaxing. read more

For the price it's a really good place! They ensure you get all your pressure points and almost every muscle being massaged. You can literally feel the difference right after! I just take one star off because I wish there was slightly more privacy with perhaps just curtains? Other than that honestly you would leave here on a high and wobbly coz your body will be super relaxed ;) read more

Great inexpensive foot massage with oil and hot stones. Therapist was great and hit all my spots.

Was just in here and they would not honor s groupin purchased as a gift for me. It is beyond the date for the special but it says that the value of the groupon will never expire directly on it. I used to go here quite frequently but after one visit whete a few of my friends purchased groupons while in town, and Relax said they would only honor two that day. I had not been bsck. I will not go back again. I think they sell tons of groupons and find ways not to honor them so they can keep the money. read more

If you are like me and like your massages hard/heavier. This is the place to go. Obviously you have freedom of speech and have the ability to tell them if you like it lighter or harder. The best bang for your buck! $60 for 90 mins. I have done the Aires Bath, massage envy, etc, but this is still one of my favorites in the city! I will say you MUST drink water after to release the toxins in your body and you WILL be sore the following days unless you get a light massage. No complaints over here since I feel amazing after the soreness goes away. Always will be back. read more

Self Care is very important. After a stressful week from work and family and friends birthday celebrations. My body was about to crash. I was on Groupon and found a nice deal for Relax Foot Spa. It was a perfect place to help me unwind and release some tension. Amazing service and great prices even without the Groupon deal. 60 min foot and back massage was just what I needed. Jason was very professional and his back massage felt so wonderful. He applied just enough pressure to get the kinks out of my body. Very highly recommended. I will be coming back for the hot stone body massage. read more

This is my go to for fast, quick, massage! I personally love a woman to do my massages and they all rock! I love getting the aromatherapy full body combo that comes with the hot stones. Love getting naked so I can fully enjoy the massage benefits. They can massage over your clothes for the standard options for those that are shy. If you're okay with just having a quickie and being in the same room with others, this place is for you. The hot stones one are more secluded/private. read more

On a whim I bought this Groupon for $38 thinking it was a steal for the value. Originally was looking for any feet reflexology to deal with being on my feet for hours on end in my job. Unfortunately, the experience was not what I expected at all and really wish it was better. Biggest concern to be aware of is this is a high-pressured massage with masseuses that might not be fully trained. Several times pressure was put on areas that shouldn't have hard pressure such as knees, hips, neck, and if you have an injury of any kind make sure to have someone who understands English. I wish I could communicate well with the masseuse but she understood little English. She was a lovely lady but it was hard for her to understand things I did not want her to do. Additionally, I REALLY wish they told me they are a cash only tipping area. I only had a few dollars and wanted to tip her well. I tried to communicate to her that I was going to head to the bank real quick since a tip on card incurs an additional transactional fee. But she didn't understand at all and unfortunately the front desk didn't tell her what was going on after I spoke to him about the running to the bank for more cash. This caused her to panic and run to my car across the street which again made it difficult to explain to her what I was trying to do and frankly was alarming since I've never had someone leave their business and follow me to my car. I ended up giving her the $7 I had on me instead of the $20 I wanted to give her. Again, I really wish I could like this place because it's a good deal and really easy to get into on a Monday afternoon. But unfortunately it left a bad taste in my mouth. I guess you get what you pay for. read more

Just came in for a 90 minute massage and paid $65 they gave me only a 60 minute foot massage, which costs $45 and when I asked for $20 back the lady said she could only give me $5 back.. I'm upset and won't be back..came in with a back ache and left with a back ache and a headache read more

One of the best (inexpensive) luxuries you can get is to hit up is an Asian foot massage. Definitely reminds me of SE Asia where massages are affordable and commonly treated as part of good health and well being. I called in to make a same day reservation for a 30min foot reflexology appointment. The person who took the call will ask for a phone number and then you show up. You can see most of the massage room from the check in counter. Pay upfront and then go lay down, eyes covered until your masseuse shows up. It's no frills, but I got a pretty legit massage. He hits up the pressure points on your toes, shins, etc. I'm definitely am down for the 1 hour which will give you the full body. Ambiance is just fine, and the soft music is a nice touch. read more

true reflexology! so many massage places claim to do reflexology, but have no clue. the woman who did my massage treated every tiny section of my foot (top and bottom) as though it were a separate body part. it was so good that for a few minutes i lost track of where i was. and the price is difficult to believe. i can't wait to return. read more

I love love love hurts so go massages. Relax foot spa did not disappoint. You leave you're shoes on until you get to the station. You leave you're clothes on, so be sure to wear loose fitting clothing. You're in a big room with other people. The thing that is so amazing to me is how they do such a good job while you are fully clothed. My therapist started with my face, head, and neck. Then moved to me arms and feet. The focus of the massage is on your feet and lower legs. She rubbed the right side front of my leg and it felt like heaven. I felt like she got places most places gloss over. After your feet she briefly did the back of my upper legs and then moved onto my back and ended with my neck and shoulders. Making an appointment was easy. I called and had an appointment scheduled for 20 minutes later. What a great addition to the area! read more

I'd really like to give Relax Foot Spa in Wicker Park, a 1.5 star rating because I was really grateful for their availability for an appointment within 15 minutes near closing time but the service was absolutely horrendous. An effective massage therapist will listen to both the client and their body to provide a comfortable and relaxing massage but the therapists here perform a routine massage without considering the needs of their client. I was never asked about any focus areas, pressure preference, or even if I was comfortable. I was sitting on the edge of the table with no instruction and then a man comes over and just says lay down. No "hello", "how are you", or introduction. I understand that this is a bargain massage establishment but these three basics are a must for the start of any decent massage. I thought it was pretty odd that they switched service providers after the reflexology portion of my 60 min combo massage with hot stones ($42 on 2/27/21). The reflexology part wasn't the worst but it wasn't that great either, basic techniques with no relief afterwards. The height of this horror story was the multiple compressions over my groin area by the second therapist and I was honestly mortified at what had just happened but I couldn't say anything but only wished that the massage would be over soon. When I turned face down, my male therapist asked me to take my shirt and bra off when there's no privacy whatsoever ever so I had him cover me with the towel and to leave, which he did but I felt this was still pretty cringey. Next we have the mechanical strokes with this man's elbows bumping into my spine over, and over again with no remorse. Why?! I am now feeling sore with some inflammation near my upper spine as I type out this review. Going into this place I thought I was going to get some tension relief but it seems like I just got some more of it added on. read more

Relax Foot Spa (not to be confused with Relax Feet) is a newer Asian massage spot in West Town. Keep in mind it's the cheap, Asian style so you're in a big room with a bunch of people getting massages, you only take your socks & shoes off - nothing else! They don't focus on specific areas, it's a general massage with the most emphasis on feet. I was a bit hesitant on having a male give my massage but it ended up working out okay. Sure his hands smelled like smoke and he had to cough up some things sometimes from smoking...but he did a good job! haha It sucked he didn't wash his hands before starting though and that I heard him in the back hacking before getting started. Reading over reviews, it seems everyone says the same thing. Just have this dude wash up and your reviews will get better! Because he really does a good job aside from that. Other than the cigarette smell, it was relaxing and deep working out some of my kinks. I'd go back but will request a female masseuse next time to avoid the icks. read more

Consistently good, traditional Asian massage at a good price. Serene, open, semi-private massage tables (couples area available).

The most terrible 90 min massage of my life. No technique or pressure just using thumbs to go up and down the foot and legs, I had to tell the masseuse to apply pressure three times on different occasions and that didn't even help or made a difference. No technique in massaging the back at all free-for-all to do whatever. The most stressful massage I've ever had. Waste of time and money. When I told the front desk receptionist about the massage being terrible he just pulled out their price sheet and told me that next time you can do a different timing. The timing was not the issue the technique overall was the issue. read more

Massage: this is a seriously good, deep, tension relieving massage. Great value. I have no complaints. Environment: there are no private rooms - sectioned areas instead. Not the place for a private, quiet and zen massage. read more

The WORST massage I have ever received. I left with my upper back feeling constantly SORE for 3 days. Preface: my friend took me to this spa after trying out the massages 2-3 times himself and he thought they were fantastic. However, when we both went to get a massage, it was his WORST experience and also my only but last experience here. We got the combo massage that covers foot and body. The foot massage was great; it was my first time getting a foot massage but I didn't feel any pain when the massage was over. The body portion of the massage made me feel excruciating pain to the point that I held my breath at times as the massage carried on, hoping it would end! That's a bad sign when I WANT a massage to end. I was never asked how I felt during the massage and they also skipped over doing arms. I'm sad to say that what was supposed to be a fun and relaxing experience ended being an unforgettable event in a terrible manner. Please make sure there's a standard for all your masseuses since some of them are apparently great. Or, just come here only for the foot massage like the name states. read more

I will start by saying I have had about 40 massages like this at similar places in the city and this place was by far one of the worst! I decided to give them a try because of their 70-min Groupon special. Since there weren't really any positive moments, let me give you all the negative moments: 1. When I arrived, they quickly ran me back to bed in the back of the room. No hello, no welcome just a let me see your Groupon. He put my feet in a bucket of cool water 2. The head and neck rub were extremely weak. I asked for hard pressure and got nothing 3. The hand and arm massage never took place 4. He started rubbing my feet and legs by dumping half a bottle of baby oil all over my legs and feet. While his hands slid all over there was no pressure at all 5. As I was on my back, I could hear people moving around me and the strong scent of pine. I looked under my towel/mask and someone was literally mopping the floors around me as I was getting my massage. It was so weird (the place was loud during the entire 70 minutes) 6. He turned my over for the back massage portion and dumped the other half of the baby oil all over my back. It was disgusting. Again, no pressure at all 7. As I was on my stomach, I heard someone TAKING A PISS in the bathroom next to my bed. they didn't shut the door. Just stood there and PISSED WITH THE DOOR OPEN, flushed and didn't wash their hands! 8. After the massage was FINALLY over, I got up to find 4 men sitting in jackets on the couch at the foot of my massage bed. They were just sitting there on their phones and staring. 9. I got dressed and gave the guy a $10 tip (I didn't want to stiff him). He looked at me and said really and started speaking in a foreign language to the guys on the couch as they all laughed. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST!! read more

Similar to what other reviewers have said, Relax Foot Spa is more bang for your buck than other massage places in the area. However, knowing that the hour-long general massage is only $28, you can't expect the experience to be similar to what you'd get at the Ritz Carlton. Let me start with the ambience. The massage parlor is essentially one room, with the reception area separated by a screen. This means that everyone is out in the open and you are being massaged while surrounded by other people. With that said, you are fully clothed and the room is very quiet with relaxing music playing in the background. In terms of the massage itself, I think it's pretty great. You spend about half an hour on your back and then you flip over. I've gotten the signature massage several times and it seems to be different every time (sometimes I've gotten a scalp massage, which I love). The pressure is also pretty strong which I'm a big fan of. One important thing to note - there is a sign on the counter that encourages tipping at least $10. So if you think you can get out of there tipping $5 for a $28 massage, think again. I fully agree with this policy, because you can only imagine how some people would really skimp on the tip! Overall, this no frills place satisfies my needs when looking to relax for an hour. If you haven't been, it's definitely worth checking out. read more

Purchased a 75- minute hot stone swedish massage, and while I have gone here before and it has been great, this time was pretty horrible. He never asked if the pressure was okay, and I have no idea if he was new or not, but it was painful. The hot stone part was more like "small pebbles" that were brought out for the last 10 minutes...I kept on wondering if I had purchased the right thing; or if I should say something. Either way, normally I have had great experiences here, and love to come back...this time I was more excited just for it to be over. read more

This is one of my favorite spots for foot reflexology. They do such a good job and prices are super reasonable. Most of the time you don't need a reservation and can walk right in. They have the option of doing a traditional massage in a separate room which is also nice. read more

My issue with this place is not the massage experience. I've been here a few times before and never had an issue. My issue is the extremely rude lady at the front desk from yesterday. It's one thing to not be able to resolve my issue but it's another thing for her to raise her voice and talk to me in a rude and loud enough manner for the other people to all turn my direction and look at us while she was speaking to me. She spoke to me as if I had no sense and then spoke rudely to another couple who came in after asking for massages, when she said they were booked the couple said they would just come back a different time, one of them asked if they could use their washroom before they left. She said the restroom was for customers only when they were just trying to be customers a minute ago. I'm disappointed with the customer service and will not be returning for as long as that receptionist is still there. I could not believe her tone when it's a open space, she clearly does not care to keep it as a relaxing environment for others and does not seem to not be equipped/competent enough to handle situations that are not routine. read more

The worst massage experience I've ever had. A woman with her crying baby were at the table right next to me. The entire massage the baby screamed and cried. I got up and walked out halfway through because it was so loud. The unhinged front desk employee was extremely mad when he saw I was leaving and got in my face and flicked me off. He proceeded to cuss me out after I explained to him that this is a massage parlor and it's supposed to be relaxing and quiet...not a place for screaming crying babies! DO NOT GO to this place...if you are unhappy with their service they will explosively lash out at you and demand pay regardless of the situation. Besides that...the half massage I received was terrible and just a lazy half ass effort. Horrible massage and nasty explosive service. Stay away. read more

I've been coming here for a few years, loved it every time, but have not been back since I became pregnant. Seeing as prenatal massages are rather pricey, I thought I'd return here and see if they could complete their $28 deal hr message in my "condition". I'm so glad I came! The gal that did my message was so accommodating to ensure I was comfortable- my seat was propped up and she set me up with proper back support. She altered the usual message for my pregnant self and I left so relaxed and satisfied! I'll likely make this a weekly treat, knowing they can accommodate a pregnant gal. read more

This was by far the worst massage I've ever received. I've been to other places just like this and I was highly disappointed that I left feeling like I just got hit by a truck. My entire body is in pain and even the slightest touch hurts. -Foot "spa" water was cool not even warm -Lighting was too bright -Room was too cold (My best friend and I were sent to a private back area) - I specifically asked her not to be so rough and she did the complete opposite. She missed all kinds of signals I was giving her to ease up or stop what she was doing. I'd rather drive to my usual spot that's 1hr away. Never again. P.s. Exactly what I expected from a right proper Chinese run massage establishment. They get right down to business working on your deep tendons in the feet and quickly get on your shoulder knots. Went here last week and my only complaint was that I could smell the hands of the man who did my massage (head, shoulders, legs/feet). The place seem clean and orderly with male and female masseuses, which I believe are equally skilled. You just don't know which gender will be assigned to you if you care about that (you might be able to specify, not sure). If I were to come to this place again, I'd tell the concierge to ask my assigned therapist to wash his/her hands clean first. Or they could have them wear gloves, which I've seen in other places. Tip: wear loose clothing for easy roll-up (legs/feet area) and long sleeves so there is minimal flesh/skin-to-skin contact if you're fussy. read more

Relax Foot Spa is great if you're looking for a foot soak/rub and express body massage with your clothes on in an open room. The only privacy is a blanket draped over your body. First 5 minutes was focused on head while your pants are rolled up and feet soaked in warm water. It was another 20 minutes of feet, 5 minutes of hand, and 20 minutes full body. My masseuse used the a good pressure, and a gliding stroke technique. I've had real reflexology where the pressure points are targeted on your feet, and this was definitely not that! Overall, my body felt better the next day so it still served a purpose. You could see the front desk from the beds at the end of the room, which I thought was slightly awkward. It was easy to get an appointment in, but from the looks of it, walk-in would probably have been fine, too. read more
