    The amazing meditation tent!

My wife and I LOVE Allyu. We recently just had our first child and were looking for a Spa in the area to get some massages to tame the sore muscle pains of early parenthood. We found Allyu and were immediately impressed. The masseuses have been very good, ask for feedback on pressure and very kind/welcoming. Afterward, they offer you a hot glass of tea and some time for you to chill in their meditation tent. They also have a very quiet waterfall and incense around the building. It's a treat every time we get to come in! Highly recommended - come check Allyu out and relax!

One of the bestest spas I have been to. Such a great experience with really nice professional staffs and peaceful ambiance. They are Asian inspired and bit and it stands true with their services. Lot of them were raving about their showers and it was too good!! Only feedback would be they can make their process a bit slow. I was rushed into services without even a small break. But otherwise too good

I spent my July 4th week holiday at Allyu Spa to relax and rejuvenate for work next week. Luckily, I got a last-minute reservation. I've been to this place before and I keep coming back. My esthetician this time was Hope, and I absolutely love how they first ask about your pain areas and any areas you're uncomfortable with for a massage. This time, I got a hot stone massage as my back and neck were really hurting, along with an additional scalp treatment. What I really love about this place is the cleanliness, the ambiance, the quietness, and the meditation tent. Everything about the place is amazing. The music playing in the background during the massage is very soothing. During the massage, my esthetician kept asking if I was comfortable. The scalp treatment involved a sesame oil massage that provided hydration to my hair. After the massage, you're usually offered green tea. Since I took the scalp treatment too, a shower was included, and I have to say the space was very clean with hot water, towels, and a hairdryer available. I absolutely recommend this place. A tip while reserving a massage: make sure to clearly mention the gender of the masseuse you prefer.

Wow, we had an incredibly luxurious & memorable experience here! My lovely boyfriend booked for us the couples exfoliating sugar body polish w/ 80min massage. First was the exfoliating sugar scrub! I thought this was borderline painful at the start, but it quickly became tolerable. The practitioner exfoliated my entire body thoroughly and went over areas multiple times. We were led to private showers afterwards to rinse off and I instantly felt how utterly soft my whole body was! Everything from the shower room to robes and toiletries felt luxurious and of high quality. Finally, the massage portion! The practitioners asked our pressure preference, areas of focus, etc. We both thought the massages were exceptional and very relaxing with the calming background music. My boyfriend who typically has tension & tight muscles felt his whole body loosened after his deep tissue massage. His masseuse also gave him some suggestions on stretching exercises. Both practitioners were attentive, kind, & professional throughout our entire experience. This place is top tier on their focus on customer satisfaction, quality of services and experienced practitioners! We had a phenomenal, relaxing experience and felt cleansed & rejuvenated afterwards! Might cost you an arm & a leg, but at least you walk out renewed :)

I came to Allyu spa to treat myself to celebrate a special occasion and it was a great experience overall! If you order 3 services totaling $300 or more, you can create a "personal spa day" and they will give you a 10% discount on the total cost (and also automatically add on a 20% gratuity). The decor is well done and really helps to create a relaxing ambiance. Just as a reminder, it is a good idea to check in 15 minutes prior to your appointment time so that your services will start on time. Of the services that I've tried, I really recommend the massage services at this place, which are some of the best I've ever had! I would probably skip on the manicure, pedicure, and facial services next time as I thought those were more standard. But definitely check this place out for their massages! Also, as a pro tip, you can book a free 20 minute rain shower complimentary as part of your services but you just have to remember to ask for it when you call in for your booking.

Logistics aside, everything else about the experience was superb. The spa had everything I needed. The pool and jacuzzi were co-ed, but the womens' locker room had an herbal sauna, steam room, heated relaxation loungers, and showers. I got a 60-minute Chuan Harmony massage with Francisco. The massage was very relaxing, and aroma therapy was part of the treatment to balance your elements per Chinese medicine philosophy. Francisco was also very friendly and highly professional. I fell asleep during the massage, which was a win in my book. Lastly, the pool service food was excellent. One of my best friends got a margherita flatbread and chips with salsa and guac, and my sister got a poke bowl. I had the pleasure of picking at everything, which I all found delicious.

We didn't know…read morewhat to expect, but we were truly satisfied with the service we received, with one exception: the massage. After reading reviews dating back several months, I realized that other people had experienced the same issue. Let me start at the beginning. I made my reservation for a Sunday at noon. When we arrived, we were told that our reservation had been canceled. Naturally, I was confused because I hadn't canceled it. We were asked to take a seat while the staff looked into the matter, and they quickly figured it out. Brittany at the front desk did a wonderful job explaining what had happened. In the end, it turned out to be an error on my end, but she remained friendly, professional, and accommodating. She offered us another date and time and even compensated us for parking. Thank you, Brittany! The bath experience was everything I needed to cleanse my soul. The waterfall area and the eucalyptus sauna quickly became our favorite places. The atmosphere was peaceful, relaxing, and exactly what we had hoped for. Now, on to the massage. My wife and I were in the same room. She had a female therapist, and I had a male therapist. Unfortunately, our experiences were completely different. My therapist spent most of the session lightly rubbing my feet and legs. He never touched my hands, fingers, neck, or head, all of which my wife received during her massage. He did ask whether there were any areas I wanted him to focus on, and I mentioned that I had tension in my upper shoulder area and that I had a shoulder injury. He concentrated primarily on the injured shoulder and very little else. I was genuinely surprised when he told me the session was over. My first thought was, "Wait, where was the rest of the massage?" I would really like to see Aire invest in more experienced massage therapists, especially since this appears to be a recurring concern among guests. That said, the massage experience did not ruin our visit. I would absolutely return, and I would still recommend Aire to my family, friends, and coworkers.

There is staff around so if you have any questions, that can be answered. The locker rooms are clean. There are a couple private changing rooms and, of course, cuz it is separate from the men, you can choose to change in the open. You change into your bathing suit and they provide a robe. Within this locker room, there are showers available and there is also an area provided to get ready AFTER the services are complete. It has hair dryers and spray deodorant and I think lotions. They do provide "wet slippers". They fit like no show socks so there's no need for any kind of flip flop type shoe to protect your feet. I have no review for the men's locker room cuz... Well. I'm not a man. BUT my husband had no complaints. When ready, you meet your partner and go to the "bath" area. They have all kinds of hot tubs and steams rooms and cold plunges and just yeah. It's pretty cool. You hang your robe and in you go. There is also a juice bar and the juices are delicious. Again, there is plenty of staff to assist with any questions you may have. If you booked a massage, and, of course, why not? They will let you know when it's time. You go upstairs and get the best massage of your life. I had a female masseuse and my husband had a male one. Once done, back into the locker room to get ready for the rest of your day/evening. It was a pleasant experience. It was also quite pricey. This was gifted to me and my man. Since we were visiting from out of town and had other plans, we were not able to switch to these times but eventually agreed to move to 9:15 even though it was not our preferred time. The attendants upon arrival were very friendly and welcoming. The eucalyptus steam sauna was closed for repair, which was not indicated when we booked. The dry sauna and hot tub were very small. As the morning went on it got incredibly busy. There were so many people waiting for appointments that there weren't enough chairs in the relaxation room, and it was very crowded by the vanity/mirrors and showers. Our treatments we good, not spectacular for the cost, but we expected expensive treatments on a busy weekend in Chicago. This time, I decided to schedule a mani & pedi at the end of my week stay as an added treat. When I tell you that I was shocked by my experience here, I mean it. There was nothing luxurious about this at all. And these are absolute top-tier prices for their services. They took me down the stairs after I checked in and I waited in this dark area as people were randomly walking back and forth from the pool area. A woman escorted me into this insanely small room (it looks like a closet) where there were 2 pedicure chairs right next to each other then 2 manicure stations across from that. I truly was shocked. I wanted to leave. Their website and spa detail information is so insanely misleading. This small room they cram you into has no windows, and is at the end of a dark hall. Forget that we are still dealing with the pandemic and there is zero social distancing. The two nail techs that were working were lovely but so obviously under appreciated & overworked. Which is beyond sad. My pedicure was ok but my manicure was the worst I've ever received. I wanted a French tip and the tech haphazardly painted each tip with a regular brush. Not one was the same. I also walked out and came right back to get some nail polish remover to clean up my own hands as I had white polish all over my skin. Just insane. The receptionist was appalled when I showed her my nails so she said she would take it off my bill ($65) was removed but I still paid over $150 plus tip for my mani and pedi. In my personal option, they should close down the manicure and pedicure options of the spa. It is not a luxury, high end experience. Quite the opposite. This was not a great way to end our stay here & it put such a bad taste in my mouth. I won't ever come back to the spa for any service at all.
