I was greeted by a very pleasant front desk attendant who went over the Covid protocol with me, and quickly supplied me with a pair of spa shoes for my visit. After I completed my intake sheet and the Covid waiver, I was then escorted to the meditation tent where I was told that my massage therapist would find me for our session. It is evident that she is a therapist who is passionate about her industry and her patients. She worked with me to customize a massage that would leave me feeling relaxed while also targeting my trouble areas. As a dancer who has often has tight shoulders and thighs, I was really impressed with how she was able to relax the muscle without having to use excessive force. I wish we had added on some chakra or one of their other more specailty offerings, and if we're back we'll definitely do that. What a fantastic way to start a day! I was given a gift voucher for my birthday, so I scheduled a 60 minute full body massage and a 30 min scalp massage add on for 9am Saturday morning - surprisingly the place was very busy, probably a full house! I parked across the street ($4 for 3 hours with validation) and made the quick trip across the street and down to the riverwalk level to enter the spa. I was met by a host and asked to fill out a standard pre-massage form and then given some spa sandals and shown where to leave my shoes. Once ready I was offered water/tea and taken back to the relaxation tent, which was warmly and dimly lit with some running water, was very nice and calming. My therapist Chris collected me pretty quickly after I sat down and took me back to my treatment room. There was a bag to put my clothes in and a robe for my shower after my massage (shower because the scalp massage involves essentials oils, so your hair gets pretty oily/greasy). I got undressed and under the sheet on the bed. Chris came back in and immediately asked me if the face cradle was comfortable....I've had a lot of massages and I think that's the first time anyone has asked me that, which is great, cause sometimes it can be real uncomfortable! Chris started my massage and within 2-3 minutes asked me how the pressure was, if I needed more of less etc. and from then on I was in complete bliss. Chris could tell where my knots were and worked them with the perfect amount of pressure to break them up without it hurting. Without telling him to, he also spent quite a bit of time massaging my neck and shoulders, which for someone who stares at a computer screen all day was great, as that's where I hold most of my stress. Once my massage sessions were complete, Chris asked me to put my robe on and waited for me outside the door with a glass of water before leading me to my shower suite. He walked through the controls for the shower and left me be. Once done you can go back to the relaxation tent or leave. I haven't had a massage in years ever since my local one went out of business. Decided to go on a sister date with my sister on a gray cloudy cold day. It was very relaxing. Mood lighting, quiet rooms, soft humming. It will definitely get you relaxed in a few minutes. You check in, get some spa sandals and offered tea or water. Then they take you to a large dark waiting room with a big stone lit and the soundtrack to a meditation temple. We got the sugar scrub and you get to take a shower after in their wonderful stoned showers. The massage was really relaxing. It's pretty pricey and the parking is in a lot you get discounted for 2 hours which we barely made. This would be great place to unwind and get a meditative massage. I've been visiting Allyu since late December of 2021 and I enjoy my visits. It is quite a distance from my home, but the service is worth it. Parking is fairly easy and accessible. The spa is clean and has an immediate calming effect on me. I literally walk in and my shoulders drop. I've had one amazing massage and one that was good. The relaxation tent is phenomenal! I am looking forward to the sauna, which I heard is fantastic. I usually receive my nail services from Denise. She is professional, skilled, and pleasant to chat with. The facial was decent but the massage was average.The pedicure was by far the worst pedicure I've ever had. The painting is not in line, I have polish on my skin. I was poked several times. I thoroughly enjoyed my massage. My pedicure with reflexology and hot stone exceeded my expectation and was the best I've ever had. That being said, I will not return for a couple of reasons. First of all, it was so dark in the interior of the spa that I could not see at all. I know they want to create a certain calming atmosphere, but I was anything but calm making my way to my massage fearing where I was walking. Another ingredient they add to creating a zen experience is the aroma of incense that permeates the entire spa. My headaches are triggered by smells of any kind. This is a common trigger for many and I'm surprised this wasn't considered. One more less significant thing I'll point out was that the bottles in the shower were not labeled. For those of you not uncomfortable with very darkened interiors and who aren't sensitive to incense, Allyu provides good service. read more

Absolutely love Allyu spa. This was my second time here for the "couple's retreat" package with my fiancé. It includes an hour couples massage, 45 mins in a private sauna/shower room & pedicures. We actually skipped on the pedicures just to cut down on the time we were there. But didn't miss them much. As soon as you arrive you're offered a hot cup of tea (flavor of your choice) and get seated in their relaxation tent which is so pretty and calming. The private sauna/shower room is the ultimate way to pamper yourself. Enjoy the sauna, rinse off in one of the showers with dual shower heads including a rainfall. Even the soaps and lotions they provide you with are heavenly. And of course smell amazing!! We loved our massages just as much as we did the last time. I've had a few bad massages in my life but the masseuses here know what they're doing. Afterwards you get another complimentary solo shower in yet another beautiful shower room to rinse off. I recently went here for a facial. I'm a huge fan of their massages and love how sweet all the staff is. They never disappoint in creating a calm atmosphere. The person doing my facial was very gentle with my skin and pretty awesome all in all. I gave this 3/4 stars because it was to be an hour long and she was done with almost 15 minutes to spare. I was disappointed in this because I could have had extra massage time on the face and neck. I noticed too late, once I was already on my car. This spa is wonderful if you are going for a massage or facial. The spa has a very relaxing atmosphere (even the lobby), the staff is attentive, and the meditation tent where you wait between services is really lovely. HOWEVER: BEWARE of the nail salon! It is already expensive and the quality is TERRIBLE! I got a gel "no chip" manicure today at 4:45. It's currently 10:45 and 2 nails have already chipped. I'm shocked and really sad that this manicure has already started falling apart in 6 hours. I wanted to treat myself to a nice mani before vacation but now I just feel disappointed I wasted my money and time. $45 for this terrible quality is inexcusable, I will not EVER be returning here for any type of manicure. UPDATE: this morning Allyu Spa contacted me about my manicure and offered a complimentary repair or replacement manicure. Unfortunately I've already left for vacation so will have to wait to get my nails repaired, but I really appreciated how prompt and caring their customer service is. Adding a star! 2nd Update: went in for the complimentary manicure after the gel manicure didn't work out. I opted for regular polish with the spa manicure. While I appreciate them offering a complimentary service to make up for the poor initial gel manicure, I'm still very disappointed in the quality of the nail services. This second time I left with uneven, chunky polish and several areas of my skin covered in polish. The salon has very low lighting so it's hard to tell what the manicure really looks like until you leave. My skin looks amazing, she was so gentle, and her massage portion was amazing. Took my wife to get a 90min prenatal massage (value $170) and the experience was not the best. The front desk staff was not very professional or welcoming. The only area to place all personal items was a little nook open to all guests (no lockers or secure storage area). My wife's massage therapist was Jennifer and her massage was very lackluster compared to other reviews posted. The massage was repetitive and seemed to try and fill the 90 minutes rather than tackle different areas. Once the massage was finished, there was no mention of a shower or resting area by any of the front desk staff. I don't understand how this spa has been open for as long as it has. The front of house is nice but massage therapist/facialist are mediocre at best. You carry your belongings with you from service to service. Having no locker / changing area is very inconvenient. And since there are no lockers, there are no shower areas. You have to schedule your shower at the time of service and they have a timer set /so don't plan on taking a long, relaxing shower Nothing nothing has changed in years. and I mean absolutely nothing. It's dark, dank, dusty. On my last trip there a couple of weeks ago towels were actually greasy. She spent the whole time on a different area and neglected to do the actual full body massage, skipping multiple other areas as well. Her hands were freezing and the oil was cold. Nothing was relaxing and the back pain I had was not resolved. When I spoke to a manager to see if anything could be done, they basically told me too bad. Come back and waste another $120 to try out someone else. I'm sick to my stomach that I spent that much money in that way. If you go to this spa, do not see Dylan. I am 20 weeks pregnant and went to Allyu for a prenatal massage. The customer service was the WORST I have ever experienced. The spa works with a parking garage across the street which had a malfunction that caused me to to be 10 minutes late. I promptly called the spa and let them know that I could not be there on time. My massage was cut 20 minutes short. When I spoke to a "manager" Brigitte, she effectively told me that it doesn't matter if their clients get into a car accident, they expect them to be on time. I just left Allyu after a custom spa day experience. I got a scalp and body scrub, 90 minute hot stone massage, and pedicure. Every part of my day was amazing. First, I am impressed by their steps taken around COVID. There was a dedicated air purifier in each room (even the single seater bathroom), and everyone was wearing a medical grade mask properly. I felt incredibly safe throughout! One pro-tip, if your booking does not automatically include a shower reservation, request one! It was a great added touch. I work in the building and due to convenience, figured I'd give it a try. I ended up sitting there for an hour and a half only to receive the sloppiest manicure ever. My manicurist did not clip cuticles, clean nail beds, buff nails, or fully remove my old polish. When I mentioned that my old polish wasn't removed she said she'd remove it but never did. To top it off, the no chip polish is bumpy and full of bubbles. I addressed this with the front desk and they added a $40 credit to my account which I'll never use. Waste of money. read more

I want to start off my saying this spa is well kept, relaxing with a friendly atmosphere. The massage I got last week was comfortable and calming, and my masseuse ( I forgot her name) was attentive and asked me if there was anything she could have done better. I appreciate these two positives. My negative review is about manicure quality. My manicurist, Sam, was a sweetheart and I loved talking to her. She gave wonderful hand and foot massages. However, less than 24 hours after my manicure, most of my nail polish on my nails chipped. There is a large portion of naked nail from my cuticle and where the nail polish actually begins. I'm incredibly upset by this given how luxurious and expensive this spa is PLUS I paid extra for fast drying nail polish that's supposed to be better quality, per the salon. This manicure was a gift from my boyfriend and I saved the certificate from February of this year until Friday 9/8 for a wedding I was in. I'm beyond upset that my nails looked awful for the wedding as I was embarrassed to say I got them professionally done.
