A medium size restaurant with around 10 tables inside. They could accommodate most size parties. You have the choice to order from your table or leverage an interactive menu with the hostess. This seems to be a popular food delivery kitchen and they are built for it. It slowed the internal service but still fairly efficient.

Lua has turned into fast food style self serve ~ self qrcode ordering, pre-tip, self water & utensils. Tables not clean. This is all tolerable but the last couple times the staff was not in a good mood. This makes the pre-tip unjustified IMO. Asian beer gone and chicken tastes different.

3.5 stars* The restaurant is set up that you order by phone or the screen, serve yourself water, get your utensils, etc. we ordered the soft bun with bbq pork. It was ok- the meat was cold and kept slipping out the bun. The pickled veggies aren't as tangy as I would've liked. Unfortunately, they were out of the crispy pork. The rice noodles with lemongrass chicken was pretty good, but I wish it came with some mint leaves. The beef wrapped in betel leaves had a nice grilled flavor and liked it with the chili. The portions were good size- I left stuffed! The tables felt sticky and not clean. It's a pretty good place for a quick lunch, but the ambiance wouldn't match for a nice dinner.

Randomly came across this place after a doctors appointment. When you enter you can choose a place to sit and place your order through your mobile or you can do the self service order tablet up front. We both got their egg noodle dish, jalapeño butter chicken, and bbq pork buns. The food is just AMAZING and bursting with flavor. So clean and fresh and the presentation was just beautiful. My husband LOVED the chicken wings. A new twist to just getting fish sauce chicken wings. I really enjoyed the noodle dish. I don't normally turn to noodle dishes because either the noodles are under/over cooked. But this dish was just breath taking. We've tried different entrees the next few visits. And everything just taste amazing. Hands down my favorite dish is their egg noodle.

The food here was unreal and the portions were really big for the price. The only thing I didn't love was the sort of self service aspect (order with the QR code, pick up your own food trays when they're ready etc). We had a big group so it was a little cumbersome and some of the trays could have been too heavy for some of our party if they were alone. That said, the Pokémon decor was charming and again, the food was incredible!

Two people, 2 entrees, 2 appetizers, might have been a bit ambitious on our part but well worth the over full feeling after. Delicious with a capital D! A nice casual spot with fresh, timely (not too fast not too slow. Just right for a fresh meal) service. We ordered the lemongrass pork lettuce wrap with wavy noodles. It may sound silly but the noodles stole the show. All of it together was so satisfying though. The sweet chili chicken wings were crunchy and super flavorful also. Bun noodle salad with shrimp was gorgeous! And wontons in chili oil was quite decadent. So packed with pork and chive filling and silky smooth. Just spicy enough. Can't wait to overindulge here again!

I ove this place. Some of the most flavorful Viet food you can get in Portland, in my opinion. They don't have Pho, but their menu is substantial with everything else. They have the tabletop QR code menu system, so you can just walk in, grab a table, and order.

I'm visiting from out of town! In case you're wondering about parking, it's slim pickings, and it's only street parking. I had to park a bit away and walk in the rain, but it was worth it. The food was wonderful! I ordered the egg roll noodle bowl (very flavorful) with the butterfly pea matcha milk tea (almost too pretty to drink, make sure to stir). There's a neat ordering system where you order on a website at the table. I had some trouble getting the transaction to go through, but it finally worked. There's also a bar if you want some alcohol. The vibe is airy and spacious. My server was approachable. I would come back for sure... as long as parking wasn't too difficult!

    Cheers!

We came in with a group of 6 right when they reopened for dinner at 4:30pm and got a table easily. We wanted to place one big order, but the QR codes at the table to order off of makes you pay right away, which didn't make sense since it was all going on one card. We also had some older folks who preferred a paper menu, but we could only find two copies that they had to share. All of the silverware, napkins and water were self serve. We also bussed our own tables, but eventually the area to put dishes was completely full and we had no more room on our table for the food that was still coming out. The workers were nice, but clearly didn't have time for any service outside of ringing us up or cooking. The food was good and the prices were decent. They had a ton of vegetarian options. The tofu bahn mi had a ton of flavorful tofu, but lacked variety and portions of the pickled veggies and toppings. I've definitely had better. The tofu bao was pretty much identical, but in a bao bun, which was light and fluffy. I would go back, but not to sit in and eat, just for take out.

We shared the cream cheese wontons, coconut curry with chicken spice level 2(which comes with rice), and the luc lac. Everything was deliciousss! The chicken in the curry broke apart so easily and the curry itself was very flavorful. Spice level 2 was perfect for a little kick, but not too much. The meat on the luc lac has a nice char on it and a sauce that is almost sweet. Service is quick and the vibe inside is very trendy with colorful decor and lights. Great for a night out. Previous visits have sometimes left us confused as if we ordered something different than a usual so i would say it is not too consistent but great if you catch it on a good day.

We got to our table few minutes after ordering. Guests also had the option to order to go and dine in the tent tables outside. The interior of the place was so stunning. There were dragon on walls, umbrellas in the ceiling, a huge full service bar. Our dishes came out within few minutes. We got the chicken skewers, chicken pho, chicken luc lac and steak rolls. We liked the small plate dishes, but the entree ones were disappointing. The chickens were chunky and dry, bland flavor. As much as we loved the vibe of the place, we didn't enjoy the food as much. The staff members were very joyful and friendly. They were explaining the process to every guest and keeping everyone informed on waiting time. During dining, they were also available to help.

My friend got the noodles with crispy chicken and mushrooms, and those were phenomenal. The Vietnamese platter would honestly make a perfect date-night meal. This has great variety and fun to share. The fries and wings were flavorful appetizers and a great way to start the meal. Service was great overall, but a bit hands-off after the food was served. I don't remember anyone checking back in on us. Nothing was wrong with the food, but it would've been nice to have that quick follow-up. Would definitely come back, especially to check out their brunch next time.

The beef pho broth however was much less intense and complex than I prefer (Pho Van) so somewhat disappointing but a great fill with aok broth on a cold day. Downtown Portland's hidden gem for authentic Vietnamese!…read more I was walking around downtown Portland and stumbled upon Cuốn Vietnamese Street Food, and honestly, it was the best meal of my week . If you are looking for fresh, flavorful, and satisfying comfort food, do not walk--run to this spot. To get the full experience, we ordered a variety, and every single item was a hit. We started with the Beef Pho, and the broth was the absolute star. It was rich, aromatic, and deeply savory, clearly simmered for hours. It was the perfect dish on a sunny Portland day. We also grabbed a Chicken Banh Mi. The bread had that perfect crispy crust with a soft, airy crumb, and the chicken was grilled to perfection with fresh veggies and herbs. Of course, we had to wash it all down with a creamy, sweet Thai Tea--it was delicious and the perfect end to the meal. Beyond the food, the vibe is great. It's a super clean, casual spot with big windows letting in lots of natural light. It's set up for quick counter service, which makes it perfect for a fast lunch downtown, but the staff is so friendly and welcoming that you feel right at home. It's a family-run business, and you can taste the passion in the food. Highlights: · The Pho Broth: Seriously some of the best in the city. · The Banh Mi: Fresh bread, great fillings. · The Service: Fast, efficient, and incredibly kind. Pro Tip: Don't forget to grab your own utensils and sauces (the chili crisp is a must for the pho), and help yourself to the free self-serve hot tea. It's the little touches like that which make this place a winner. I am already planning my next trip back to try the Crispy Pork Belly. Highly recommend

Positives: fresh, well made, very flavorful proteins. Cons:…read morePrice I tried Cuon for the first time and enjoyed it. I went for a Vermicelli bowl where you get to pick 2 proteins. I selected Pork Belly (their specialty) and lemongrass chicken. The bowl itself is standard Vietnamese fare, nothing special, creative or exciting in that sense. That said, the ingredients tasted fresh and the proteins were very well seasoned and cooked. The pork belly skin had an awesome crunch and you can clearly taste the lemongrass in the chicken. The included spring roll had nice crunch but little flavor. Unfortunately, outside of Pho, Banh Mi and Noodle Bowls, there's sadly not much else to the menu. No Vietnamese salads, stir frys, etc. Either way, what they do make, they seem to make quite well. So, on to my main issue ie, that for a place thats only open for lunch, the prices are a bit too high. I noted about $16 for a Banh Mi sandwich, no sides. Pho was around $20 and my noodle bowl was about $20 as well. Weirdly, its about the same prices as eating lunch back home in Miami, a FAR more expensive city in general. In fact, I've often had more exciting Vietnamese in Manhattan for lower prices. So while its easy to recommend Cuon on quality, its not a top recommendation for lunch value in the PDX which is why Im docking 1 star.

Quick Napshot - Authentic, Rich Flavors -- Worth Every Penny…read more Detailed Review -This restaurant is a true gem in Portland's dining scene. My wife discovered it through a local foodie group after spotting their porridge dish, and it has since become our go-to destination for authentic Vietnamese cuisine. The menu highlights include the Vietnamese fritter, Bun Cha Ha Noi, and the porridge -- though note that the porridge is only available on weekends. Each dish is prepared with the care and complexity that defines genuine Vietnamese cooking: fresh herbs, bold flavors, and perfectly hot food served consistently. Unlike many Asian restaurants, this establishment sets itself apart through its cleanliness, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to culinary authenticity. As someone of Vietnamese heritage, I can speak to the nuanced preparation that this cuisine demands -- and this kitchen delivers it exceptionally well. Every visit reminds me of home and satisfies a craving that is otherwise very difficult to find outside of Vietnam. A few practical notes for first-time visitors: reservations are strongly recommended and are almost always necessary, which speaks to the restaurant's popularity and the time-intensive preparation their dishes require. On pricing, expect to pay a premium -- but the quality absolutely justifies the cost. For those who cannot travel to Vietnam, this is perhaps the finest Vietnamese dining experience available outside the country. Highly recommended.
