#12 Brisket and Tenderloin Pho
Beth H.

This is my favorite place for Pho. I had a dental procedure last week and have not been able to eat much or chew. Every time I have ever been there it's quick friendly service, very tasty food. There is just something about the pho #12 that changes my mood. Great ice coffee, salad rolls and magical hot goodness. Has a nice vibe and makes me feel so happy. Must try.

Recently visited Portland for the weekend and I ate here twice! I got the #12. It was great! The customer service was great as well! I highly recommend.

I came to Pho Oregon with a large group of people in the middle of the week for lunch. I must say that the staff were quite gracious and were able to seat the large number despite the lunch rush and no prior reservation. I personally got a small Tai, Nam, Gan Pho (#7), which was a popular choice with my friends. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time, given the number of people within the group. My favorite part might have been a combination of the meat and the broth. The meat was tender, and the broth was rich and flavorful. They also provide a good amount of herbs and greens to go with the pho. To behonest the sizing was on par for the price. I could probably have finished the small if I really wanted to, but I ended up taking some of it to go. Most of my friends ended up finishing their bowls, and they themselves aren't very big people either. The restaurant was decently sized. I will say it reminds me of many of the other pho places I've been to, but I think it adds to the charm in a certain way. There is also a decent amount of seating if that is something you are concerned about.

The most authentic Bánh Xèo Miền Nam (Southern Vietnames Crepe) in Portland Metro Area. More details to come.

Nothing food-related in this review. I've never even looked at their full menu. This spot is my one and only fix for Bánh Xèo Southern style, made with mung beans. That ingredient sets it apart from the Northern and Central regions, and once you've had it, you'll understand why I don't stray. I'm a sucker for anything mung beans. But this afternoon I went rogue. While waiting for my table, I spotted something on the drink menu I'd never seen before: Avocado Smoothie with Coffee ($7.75). Smoothie + coffee + dessert + affogato vibes all in one glass? I had to get it! Verdict: surprisingly decent. Not an every-visit craving, but definitely a fun curveball when you want something different. Creamy, not too sweet, with just a touch of Vietnamese coffee. If I recreated it at home, I'd go half strong Vietnamese coffee, half mashed avocado, condensed milk drizzle, and sliced almonds for crunch. Get it at least once who knows, you might end up with a new favorite.

Worth every dollar as every plate is filled with delicious and savory foods! Would definitely be coming back!! Service was awesome, our waitress was funny even though she tried to argue she was funnier than me but that's cool. Restaurant was clean and spotless. Definitely bring your family here, enjoy a nice lunch and leave with a filled belly. Also, try their coffee.. will definitely leave you energized!!!!!!!

Been wanting to try this place for a while, it did NOT disappoint! Large dining area, quick and nice service, and insanely flavorful broth. Some of the best pho I've had!

Pho Oregon is my go-to for pho. I love their early hours. It's never too early to get pho... The broth is so complex and deep. You get really nice portions of meat and herbs. Service is friendly and fast! The whole restaurant is really spacious and clean.

Absolutely delicious and I can't wait to go back. I absolutely love bean sprouts with my pho and they give such a generous amount. Love.

Service was quick Food was well flavored Giant bottle of sriracha Large space with plenty of tables and space between you and the next person Ambiance was better than most standard pho restaurants Staff were nice The avocado coffee, a must try

Short ribs had to spit out pretty much every bite we took because of the fat and gristle
Krissy H.

If you're thinking about coming here, don't walk away--run. Everything was dirty and unpleasant. The customer service was horrible, and the food was even worse. The barbecue short ribs were undercooked and nothing but fat and gristle; I literally had to spit out almost every bite. The table setup was disgusting--the spoon container was filthy inside and out, and many of the small bowls for sauces like sriracha or soy sauce were dirty. Even the teacups looked unclean. Overall, the lack of cleanliness and poor food quality made this a really bad experience. Definitely not recommended.

My phone was so delicious! I ended up going with the lean brisket option, and it did not disappoint. I was wanting soup as I wasn't feeling the best, and a friend recommended this spot. I got beef fat on the side, and it added more flavor to the broth! The server was very nice, and knowledgeable of the different menu items. I made my soup spicy, and the broth was spot on. The only thing that I would say is that there were some flies flying around the restaurant and on some of the bottles. So keeping that in tact would help make the place feel a little cleaner.

#2 Pho Combo

Visited after hiking on a cold day, and had such a great meal! I came between lunch and dinner during non-peak times, there was no wait but it was still busy. Servers were friendly and helpful. Pho #2 (5/5) - Delicious! I ate the whole bowl and drank all the soup. Couldn't get enough of it, the different cuts of meat were all very tender. Fried Spring Roll / Egg Roll (5/5) - Crunchy and soft inside, could tell it was fresh and made in-house. I will definitely be coming back!

#2 Pho - Tai, Nam, Gau, Gan, Sach

After moving to Bend, OR, I had been yearning for authentic flavorful pho. So on my way back from a weekend trip in Portland I had to make a stop at Pho Oregon on 82nd. I had previously been to the Beaverton location, so I came knowing that it was going to be delicious. But it truly hit the spot. I came by myself at around noon on a Sunday and was immediately seated at a table. Was brought a steaming pot of jasmine tea, which is a non negotiable for me. Ordered a small #2 combo pho that came quickly with a generous serving of toppings. The broth was savory and warming. I added some sriracha for spice and lime to my liking, but honestly it didn't need anything extra. There was a good serving of protein in the small which left me pleasantly surprised. The rice noodles held their shape through my entire meal. 10/10 - wish I could doordash this to Bend. The restaurant itself is a Vietnamese banquet hall that's well decorated and filled with a good range of table sizes. It was pretty full when I arrived and had a steady flow of incoming tables as I sat through my meal. It's everything you want and expect from an authentic vietnamese restaurant. I would recommend Pho Oregon to anyone and everyone.

There is plenty of seating there and It looked like there was a space for live music and string lights - probably a fun spot to grab dinner in the evening. We came for lunch and ordered the chao mian with chicken (spicy) and bian bian noodles (spicy). The noodles are cooked to order and we were served quickly. The serving sizes are huge. Neither one of us could finish ours. We'll likely order one dish to split next time, and that'd still probably be more than enough. The flavor of the chao mian was a bit lackluster. It was savory with a soy sauce flavor base, but got a bit repetitive with each bite. It was decently spicy and texture was there with the veggies, but I wish there was a way to customize with more spice or vinegar to taste. The bian bian noodles were more flavorful and also spicier. Fun noodle texture. There are also other vendors in the garden so you can pair a dessert, drink, or side with your meal while staying in the same area. Overall, a filling meal for a good price! Would come again to try their beef noodle soup.

The place was full of hungry locals and tourists but was uncustomarily quiet and calm. From the hostess that seated us, to the waitress and servers, all staff and management were extremely polite, positive and helpful. We were starving. So we ordered 3 entrees and side of Dry-fried String beans. The Green Beans were cooked perfectly and the serving size was generous! One of our new favorites is the Mongolian Chicken. Is not a spicy Chinese food dish but the moist chicken and seasonings produced a yummy & comfort food level dish! As usual, the lightly battered & deveined Butterfly prepared Salt & Pepper Shrimp was mouthwatering, with every bite. As the last entree to be served. The ten Chicken & Vegetable Dumplings were fresh and flavorful. Needless to say, with only 2 patrons eating lunch with 3 heaping entrees plus Dry-fried String beans and white rice - we took home 2 more meals worth of Chinese food leftovers. Definitely dine in at this Old Town location or order To Go!

The service was kind of weird/awkward about IDing us for drinks. I assured her I was happy to grab my ID and she was kind of rude, alluding to the fact I look old and she doesn't need it haha. As our food started to come, our friend noticed a long black hair in the chicken dumplings. We notified our server and she investigated the dish on our table. This rubbed us all the wrong way because you should believe your customer and take the plate from the table and maybe exam it in the back/kitchen? We didn't like the hair deter us and everything was truly delicious. We had pork soup buns (good, but not very soup-y), pork wontons in chili oil (yum!), chicken potstickers (probably my favorite), spicy chow mein (delicious), the dry fried green beans (so good)! We were stuffed. I ended up telling the server that we wouldn't need the new chicken dumplings and she was very rude and taken back by that. I feel bad to inconvenience them, but none of it would've happened if there wasn't a hair in the food? There were other small, rude things our server did but ultimately, it didn't ruin our night or take away from the delicious food! I would recommend the restaurant with the warning that the service is lackluster.

We devoured everything and left no crumbs but the dishes I would likely gravitate back towards are the hand pulled noodles, wings, and actually the Mandoo! The hand pulled noodles were coated nicely with a spicy sauce and had a great chew to them. I loved the thickness of the noodles and added crunch from the cabbage and other veggies. Half sweet and half spicy for the wings was the way to go - each wing was doused in sauce and sesame seeds but still maintained its crunch. As someone that doesn't usually like wings, these were fantastic. Lastly, the Mandoo surprised me! It was the sauce that sealed the deal. It was like a thousand island, poppy seed kind of dressing that worked very well. I couldn't stop eating them. If you're looking for authentic Korean food, this is the place!
