I found out about kyucafe for the first time today while searching for a quick caffeine fix. I picked up a caramel latte, americano, a fresh squeezed orange juice, ham croissant, and shiitake mushroom onigiri. I like that the food is housemade - onigiri and caramel latte were my favorites, very flavorful. The cafe is spacious and cute, with a ramen wall and many self served stoves. I also enjoy that they sell canned lattes and matcha. they make it in house but if you order it cold they will can them. try getting the matcha with strawberry syrup! the smaller size lattes are 2 shots espresso which is good and the larger are 3 shots. the matcha is good quality! you should come here if you want a relaxing study space. they have extra outlets by the wall seating. An exceptional, independent cafe with the best fruit matcha around. They make their matcha's with cheong, making it just the right level of sweetness and a higher concentration of fruit flavor. It beats other fruit matcha's that use a syrup, flavored powder, or even a compote. The staff is always so friendly here as well. They also bring your order to your table, even if they don't have to. They've recently upped their food menu, which now includes a larger selection of premade refrigerated items (savory and sweet), pastries, rice balls/onigiri, rice bowls, and breakfast burritos. Their ramen selection for their ramen bar is also pretty diverse. You shouldn't have a problem with seating. They have multiple tables, and one large long table. In terms of outlets, I've only found two. I'm not sure if the long table has any underneath it. I love this place and you should come if you support independent cafes and tea shops! read more

Everything about kyucafe is great! Although I was able to go twice during my time in LA, I find myself wishing to go back for more. On my first visit, I got the strawberry matcha latte which was amazing: affordable with a great taste- what more can you ask for? I also got ramen, and the male barista was super helpful as I was a little confused by the machine. He even drained the ramen and brought it over to me with a tray, napkins, and utensils. I really felt that he was happy to be there to run this business and help out the cafe goers :) The second time I went I got a regular latte and a blueberry matcha latte- all of them were as good as the first visit. This is a lovely family-run cafe with lots of healthy and tasty options. I love coming here because not only is their food healthy and good, but it is affordable!! Which is a very rare find in LA. I truly appreciate having a place like this in the community. They have a variety of healthy lunch options (including vegetarian) such as salads, sandwiches, rice balls, and snacks as well as really good drinks such as the strawberry matcha latte. Everything I've tried is good, but some of my go-tos are the Quinoa salad and the Power Bowl (which is packed with tons of ingredients including quinoa, lots of veggies, and chicken). The great thing about getting lunch here is that it is much quicker than other places, because you can just grab and go the sandwhiches and salads. If you'd like to sit and enjoy your food, the cafe also has tables and seating with a stylish interior. There is some parking in the parking lot behind the cafe and laundromat. I definitely recommend this place. And I heard they also have catering, which I'd like to ask my office to try next time. read more

I saw they had bulgogi bowls which is really convenient for lunch. Plenty of pastries to pick from. They even serve Shin instant noodle bowls, that's cool! Rice ball - spicy tuna was yummy but tuna to rice portion was thin/little but maybe it was an off day. Rice was on the drier side as well. Fruit bowl - mango, kiwi, green grapes, blueberry, strawberry $5 can't go wrong :) Turkey sandwich - a little lack luster, straight to the point turkey, cheese, lettuce, mustard and mayo on a croissant. I'd recommend adding: cucumber or tomato which would really elevate this. I like that it's convenient tho! Service - two guys I'm assuming the owner and his brother, super kind and accommodating Ambiance - really clean, not many decor maybe bc they're new. Plenty of seating - 2 tables for couples, bar for solo dining and one large table for a group, not to mention 2 outdoor table with umbrellas. Drinks: reasonably priced, they have milk alternatives! Love the can drink concept Vanilla ice latte - the coffee has a burnt taste, I don't prefer it Blueberry matcha latte with oat milk - super yummy but on the sweeter side. I'd recommend asking for less sweet. Orange juice - fresh and super deliciousssss :) Overall review: I can tell this business has a lot of heart and being that it's new there's room for improvement. I've visited kyucafe a couple of times recently and plan to visit many more times in the future. Kyucafe presents a relaxed yet lively atmosphere to its patrons. Kyucafe is well-suited towards grabbing a quick healthy lunch/snack, but it's also well-suited towards lingering in the cafe with your laptop or book for work or leisure while enjoying some of their specialty beverages. For the food options, I have enjoyed the sandwiches. In terms of the drinks, there's high-quality coffee and coffee-based beverages, but on my second visit, I sampled the strawberry matcha latte and was blown away by how it surpassed any matcha latte I had previously tried. The fresh-squeezed orange juice in a can is also delicious. Finally, I would be remiss if I didn't mention the owner Allen.
