I don't usually write multiple reviews for the same place, but this restaurant absolutely deserves it. I left a 5-star review about 8 months ago, and after coming back consistently ever since, I can confidently say they have never missed. I've worked my way through so many different items on the menu, and every single meal has been fresh, flavorful, and worth coming back for. It's honestly my favorite sit down spot to eat at because the quality is so consistent What really made today's visit special, though, was the service. Today was my mom's birthday, so I brought my family here for brunch, and Amanda took such great care of us. It was my mom's first time visiting, so she had what felt like a hundred questions about the menu, and Amanda answered every one with so much patience, kindness, and genuine enthusiasm. My brother is autistic, and she was just as patient and accommodating while he took his time ordering. She never made us feel rushed and made sure everyone felt comfortable throughout the entire experience. She also brought out a slice of cake with a candle to sing happy birthday to my mom. You don't get this kind of service anywhere. Also Kayla was so great too!!! I mistook this place as a coffee shop because of the name, otherwise, i would have paid a visit sooner. The plaza can be a bit of a challenge for parking, but that's life in LA! They also have a lunch menu if you prefer. First, their hot chocolate tasted like it was made with Ibarra chocolate (yum!) I liked how it was already put in a to-go cup which worked out. To eat, i recommend the smoked salmon benedict if you're like me who prefers tangy/tart flavor. The hollandaise sauce could have used more vinegar. Capers made up for it on my benedict but the chorizo eggs benedict fell below our expectations. For sides; potatoes were crispy and we'll seasoned or if you go with fruit, they were sweet and fresh. We had the special; pumpkin Brúleé French toast which was also delicious. Overall, it was a positive experience. The servers were friendly and attentive, and the food was satisfying. However, the space is quite small and can only accommodate a limited number of customers. The cost for items was a little up there (ex: $14 breakfast burrito), but made with quality so I'd still be interested in trying their takeout options! I was sooo excited about this place because I though it would be a good (and cheap!) replacement for my beloved Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory for my broke grad student budget. My first mistake was looking at the pictures for prices without looking at the date. My bf loves pico de gallo so we ended up getting one for $4.25 (almost a 50% price increase in 2 years!!!!!). We got it sliced and wrapped all nicely and took it home to enjoy it. My bf took a bite and started coughing and begging for water. I cautiously took a small bite and spit it out. It was WAY WAY too salty. I tried a couple more times to eat some but I was very, very disappointed. Looking at past pictures I'm hoping the apple I got was just a fluke.
