Kwik Kar costs a little more, and their spelling is atrocious, but they are fast and efficient. Each time I've gotten work done there, they've interrupted my coffee break at the coffee place that's within walking distance--repairs were done well before I expected. Plus they always give you a free car wash card for the place across the way (the one with the tread mill that pulls your car through) and so that's like saving another $15 each time. They try to fool me as I didn't know anything , I went for the inspection of my car for the registration purpose , and you know what they told me , "ohh your car has major safety issues , the power steering fluid is low it must be leaking and they failed my car and told me to go back the next day so they can check it properly, when I went there the next day they told me that my power steering pump is not working it needs replacement and the told me that it will cost 600$ just for the replacement of pump and labor , for the parts they asked me for $230which is in auto zone for 107$ and if you change the pump and take the old pump to Auto zone the will refund you $40so hardly the pump cost 60 & which the try to Bill me for $230 plus flushing the whole oil which the bill for $146 and extra labor for $180 and then what, they told me ohh your coolant pump is not working need to replace it and the estimated it for $230 , altogether they gave me an estimation for the $825. I went to different auto shop and they told me that everything is working properly only the coolant was leaking which the fixed it for free and passed my car for inspection , so be careful with these people and before going for the major repair with these guys cross check with a different auto shop to avoid Being fooled by these guys read more

First visit today. The service was quick and attendants were courteous. There were attempts to upsell, but knowing your maintenance schedule helps with that. The attendant was impressed with how well I knew my car and stopped with one attempt. The waiting area was nicer than any other garage that I've been to and I was in and out within 20 minutes. Beware of this place! My husband and I have taken our cars here a few times without any trouble, but my most recent visit was a BIG disappointment! All my car needed was brake work. In addition, (2) Kwik Kar staff members told me that my car needed a long list of repairs: new tires, an alignment, hoses replaced, etc. They insisted I make the repairs, but I only approved the brake work. Upon follow-up with two other car repair shops---I've found that the list of repairs were unnecessary. I won't be going back! read more

I have been going to Kwik Kar for many years and have always gotten a good price and good service. I visited this Kwik Kar location a week ago and I was less than impressed. I was greeted by a man who was nice but lacked customer service. The men that worked on my car could care less to work with me or communicate with me as a customer. I sat in the waiting room for probably 20 minutes with my car finished out front (after being at the location for ~30 mins) before one of the guys said "oh uh are you ready to go" and handed me a receipt. They didn't care to tell me if things were good or anything. Terrible customer service and less than friendly or helpful. I hopped in my car and drove a mile and a half down the road to H-E-B. When I got out of my car I realized my car had been damaged. I immediately drove back to the Kwik Kar to discuss the new damage. I was nice and professional about it. The same front desk employee got the manager and man that worked on my car and explained that they would look at some cameras. There seemed to be scrambling happening. They conveniently left me in the lobby for 20 minutes while they "pulled up the footage". When they finally let me look at the footage the angles were terrible and proved nothing either way. The manger proceeded to be rude and hateful toward me telling me that "it wasn't detective footage" and after asking if I could bring someone back to look at the footage he said that "he would not tolerate me bringing someone in to yell at him". I had given this man no reason to be unkind to me. I told them I would be back before they closed with my dad or boyfriend to look at the footage. When we came back the men were rude, and less than helpful. The manager was in the area where cars are worked on smoking and doing nothing. There was one customer in the lobby. After waiting in the lobby again for 30 minutes to look at footage they asked us to come back in 5 days because the manager didn't have time to help us today. A bunch of dishonest and unfriendly people working here and I would not even suggest it to my enemy. I now have to pay a lot to fix a car I didn't damage. read more

Needed a quick oil change. Done. But, a week later, I saw oil under my car and opened the hood and found the dipstick tube broke. I dreaded going back because I figured they would deny any responsibility. I was VERY relieved when they completely took care of the issue with no charge! Turned out the new filter was defective and that is where the leak was from (not really their fault.) Also, they showed me how brittle the plastic my VW's dipstick is made of (when it gets to this age.) Regardless, they took responsibility and fixed it for me (again, at no charge.) My first visit to this location and I won't be going back. I had oil leakage so I came to see if they can fix it. I left my car there over the weekends. I got a call on Monday letting me know that I have an oil leak ( I new that when I left my car there) and my coolant is leaking as well. Just for this info they charge me $100, mind you that I already knew that I have an oil leak!!! So to find out where and why coolant is leaking it would be extra $150 and after they will be able to give me an estimate on what need to be done to fix this issue. When I brought my car there on Saturday I did explain what issue it have and no one ever told me that it would cost me $100 dollars for them to tell me that my oil is leaking nor did anyone called me on Monday and told me: " we see the leak but it would be $ 250 to find out why". Just FYI, my dealership charge $140 for diagnostic AND you get a rental!!!! I decide not to deal with them at this point and took my car to Christian Brothers who charge me $0.00 to find out why, where, and how much it would be to fix my oil leaks. Ohhh, also I was told ( by Kwik Kar) that my belt need to be changed, so I ask Christian Brothers to check on it and guess what, it was just little loose that's it. read more

I was going there for JUST am oil change and couldn't afford to be up sold on anything else. I have been to this location twice for service and I am extremely pleased with this business. This particular Kwik Kar location is conveniently open on Sunday, as well. The manager, Toney Urban, is running a top-notch establishment!! Keep your Dunkin' Donut receipt and you will receive a $5.00 discount. I highly recommend this business for all your car maintenance and repair needs!!! The professional staff is very polite and they work quickly. The first time I visited this business I needed some assistance with a dust cover that was dragging beneath the front bumper of my vehicle. The man at the front desk offered to assist me free of charge!! He had things back in place within ten minutes. I tried to pay him something and all he asked was that I bring my car back for service in the future. In keeping my word, I took my car back for an oil change a month ago. The waiting room was very clean and comfortable...not the typical cramped and dingy feel you find at most repair shops. My car was done in under 20 minutes and I also filled out an entry for a mini-Ipad that they were going to be giving away in a future drawing. Still can't believe that I received a call two weeks ago informing me that I actually WON the drawing. I went by to pick up my new Ipad and I couldn't be more grateful. I have visited Kwik Kar Lakeline in Cedar Park a few times for oil changes and state inspections. They have always been quick and courteous, but I have some mixed feelings about their service. Each time when I arrive, a service guy walks out to meet me in the parking lot. We discuss what service I want for my car, and then he takes my keys and drives my car into the shop to get started. I walk inside to the waiting room and then see their menu of service prices. I wish the prices were told to me during my initial discussion with the service guy because I now feel committed to paying whatever price they are asking since they already started servicing my car. I have learned to confirm prices before they begin. The waiting room has been pleasant for my short visits. They have comfortable chairs, free wifi, magazines, television, bottled water, clean restroom, and cool air conditioning. If the service guy finds areas of concern with my car while performing the requested service, he comes into the waiting room to discuss this with me. I have him document his concerns in my records so that I can go home and research the necessity of that service and price compare to other shops before I have them do whatever they recommend. Once they are finished with my car service, I am called up to the checkout counter to pay. They apply the coupon I found on their website and give me a free car wash coupon with my receipt. I walk out of the waiting room and find my car parked at the front door ready for me to drive away. I do not give Kwik Kar Lakeline the highest rating for a few reasons. On two occasions, they have recommended services for my car that were unnecessary. One time while getting an oil change, the service guy comes to tell me my power steering fluid needs to be replaced. I tell him that sounds familiar and to check my service records because I believe they recently replaced my power steering fluid. Sure enough, he looks at my records and finds they changed my fluid earlier in the year, so he apologizes and says I really do not need the service he recommended. I am fortunate for my memory because he would have otherwise sold me a clearly unnecessary service. On another occasion, a warning light for low oil pressure started showing in my car about halfway between oil changes. When I returned my car for the next oil change, they did not find an oil leak that would have caused my low pressure, so I am pretty sure the reason was because they did not add adequate oil to my car during my previous oil change. Another problem I have with them is price clarity. They added on a disposal fee to my oil change, so I got charged more than the price they quoted me for the oil change. This shop may not have the lowest prices or highest competency, but their convenience and speedy service keep me coming back. read more

Thank you so so so much to these guys (and gals)! It was Thanksgiving weekend, so of course car troubles find the perfect time to happen. I brought in my BMW when the coolant light came on, and they told me they would inspect it and run a pressure test (all for free) to check for a leak. I was very worried it could take hours or hundreds of dollars to fix, but at each step Ryan sat down with me and explained my options. Thankfully, no leaks, and they replaced my coolant within 45 minutes. They were so friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful, especially when they could see how worried I was about the time and money. As a young woman who is sometimes suspicious of car places that try to talk me into work I don't need, I felt very welcomed by everyone here at Kwik Kar and I appreciated their honesty and helpfulness. ***Also, there are numerous coffee shops and restaurants in the same shopping center within walking distance so it was a great place to wait if it had turned out to take longer. read more

This particular location is terrible! We had the oil changed on in early January of 2013 at this location and after arguing with the service tech that we did not need over $200 worth of extra work completed, we left thinking we were satisfied. The next day, however, the oil pressure light turned on. We took it back and they told us that we had a leak and needed repair work, but they claimed it wasn't their fault. Now, less than a week later, my wife was driving home from work and the panel lining the undercarriage of her Jeep started dragging the ground. I left work early to come help and it turns out they didn't screw the panel back after changing the oil! They stand around eating and talking in the shop, try and get you to pay for unnecessary services and then miss easy details. It's obvious they don't care about their customers or quality of work...just making money. Pick a different shop to save your precious time and money. read more

This place is an absolute JOKE. I've been getting my oil changes here for about 2 years no issues. Simple oil change. Then my throw out bearing on my truck goes out so I decided to let them do a clutch kit install. Charged me $1200. I ate the cost because I wanted my truck in working order. This was about 4 months ago. Now my throw out bearing is bad again. The reason I refuse to go back and let them fix their mistake is because about 2 months ago I brought my van in for a starter replacement because the bolt was stripped(otherwise I would've done it myself) so I paid for a tow truck to have it brought there after calling and asking is they could get the bolt of, they said yes. So I brought it there and 2 days later I went in and asked how things are going and they said that they sent a guy out with an impact IN THE PARKING LOT. They didn't even have the decency to put my car into their shop and do the job properly. I went on vacation and asked them to try again while I was gone. On my vacation I call them to see how things are going and they said they sent a guy out again and tried in the parking lot. I had given up at that point so I said I will just pick it up when I get back. But my brother who was with me didn't think that was right so he called himself and asked to talk to the manager. My brother started of the conversation very professional and NOT yelling. Soon the manager started yelling at my brother and even called him a "punk ass kid". My brother is 25 years old. My brother simply asked to refund us our money for getting it towed there. I ended up having a friend have to go and pull my van behind his truck to a friends house. My friends dad happened to be a mechanic so he went out to take a look at the starter. He got the bolt off in 10 minutes. A man in the grass of his yard got a bolt out that a shop with every tool they would ever need couldn't get it out in a week. Don't waste your time or money going to this place. I now and out $50 dollars from the tow truck company and $1200 for my clutch which is drivable but makes the same noise it did when I brought it in there to get fixed. read more

I just wanted to warn people about this shop. I spent 1200 dollars on a clutch from them, then a couple of months later the clutch started acting up. We took it back and they replaced it under warranty, but it was actually worse. We could barely get it out of the parking lot! Then when we complained about it they said that it was our transmission, not the clutch. Which may sound reasonable, but 1. Did they check the transmission when they pulled it down to install the clutch? Because if they did and saw a problem, then why didn't they say anything. They just put it all back together knowing the 2nd clutch was going to go bad too. Why not recommend sending the transmission for a rebuild at that time since it was out already? Or 2, there was nothing wrong with the transmission, which is what ended up being the case. After the manager hung up on my I took my vehicle to not one, but two transmission shops which both said it was the clutch. So o had to pay for the transmission shop to replace the clutch again. I hope this helps someone else from getting scammed. read more

My sister-in-law took my car in for check engine light.She was told it would be $197.00 to fix .She came back a few hours later and was told it would be $970.00 by john Asst.Manager. She almost died here she was a women from South America who did not understand.She had no choice but to put it on her credit card.They charged be $470.00 for a valve cover,48.00 for a gasket and 47.00 for a purge control valve plus labor and they also had more to up sell. Myself and her husband went back that night and spoke to John he said valve cover was warped and came from dealer. I asked to cover and had it looked at it was not warped. A few days later I called dealer and went in. All parts were $250.00 there and 1 hour to install.This placed ripped her off and took advantage of a lady.We call Manager Ryan and went in and explained to him and asked for his owner.He said Montoya would call me. Ryan called me back and said yes they over charged on part and valve cover was not warped pcv was cracked and leaking oil. He offered $129.00 back.I called him back and explained we are taking it to dealer to confirm dealer parts were put in.Now Ryan say's he did not get from dealer but a third party.Ryan also stated that he thought he was being very fair. You be the judge. After dealer looks at car we will update and may put in a dispute with our credit card company and file a complaint with the BBB. Stay away from this place read more

While the customer service was pretty great the pricing was absolutely ridiculous. I went in to get my brakes changed and was told that all 4 pads and rotors needed to be changed. After having my car raised on the platform and the parts ordered and on there way from the auto parts store they informed me it was going to be 663.50 Dollars. Being a girl who has absolutely no knowledge of cars I was like okay. I waited around for over 2 hours because the place sent the wrong parts then when I got home I had multiple people tell me on average a brake change costs between $300 and 400. They had charged me 240 for labor even though they only actually worked on my car for less than an hour and the other was in parts. Even if the parts were top of the line they should have informed me of that and offered a cheaper solution. I am definitely never returning to this place. read more

I have been to this location several times. The staff is friendly but not that knowledgeable or skilled. My check engine light was on for an EGR valve error and my dad replaced the valve already but the light would not go off. They charged me $100 to clean out the throttle body and the check engine light came on again not even a mile down the road. When I took it back they said they could not figure out what the problem was and suggested that I have the EGR valve changed out again. I took my car elsewhere and that mechanic knew exactly what the problem was which did not really have to do with the valve itself, but a part deeper in that needed to be replaced. It was fixed that day at the other shop. This was my last experience at Kwik Kar. Go to Advanced Automotive and Transmission. It's just down the road from Kwik Kar and is so much better and honest! I recently needed a full brake job and took my truck to Kwik Kar. They replaced my bearings, brake pads, and rotors on all four tires. Approximately 5 months later my truck was squeaking when I turned left and right. Well it turns out my bearings had become loose because of a faulty part (not their fault) and needed replaced. Ryan was the gentleman who helped me and he was awesome. They completely replaced the faulty bearings/rotors under their warranty and did it in a timely manner. I was constantly informed of how long it would be and when my truck would approximately be ready. I am really pleased with my experience there and definitely plan on returning for any auto needs that may arise. Recommend! read more

Not only did they take a look at my truck before I got on the road, but they provided exceptional customer service from the start.
