Updated from 2 to 4 stars because even at its worst, any KFT location is leaps and bounds better than the other local tea places I've tried.

I ordered the cocoa cream wow and it tasted like straight up chocolate milk... it was very disappointing, it did not taste like brown sugar at all. I tried it first at the KFT at Tysons and it was amazing so I was excited to get it at the Reston location and I'm sad to say it was nothing like the one at Tysons. read more

I love kung fu tea ive been to at least 5 different locations, this location i think opened up recently and when i went in the first time the entire staff welcomed me and asked how i was doing. they had just had a rush of people so they were out of the bubble topping and asked if i wanted to wait 10 minutes for a fresh batch. i was in no rush so i waited and the staff talked to me the time that i waited. every time that ive been back my drink has been made quick and delicious. i have yet to have an issue at any location- my favorite new spot to go any time im in the area!! read more

This is the worst kung fu tea location I have been to. The drinks weren't mixed well. I got an oolong milk tea and it tasted like a lot more powered milk than tea. I also asked for less sugar but it tasted like 100% sugar in there. Other locations would know how to adjust the sugar level. The store is nice with a lot of seats. There are board games that you can play while chilling there. It's a good spot to hang out with friends but they gotta make the drinks better. How can you mess up bubble tea?!?! read more

It seems that the Reston KFT has worked out their kinks! The drinks now come out super quickly, and taste as they should. Some of the staff aren't that friendly, but that may just be me being used to Teas'N You's super enthusiasm/hospitality. Other than that, I'm happy with this location. read more

I love bubble tea! After moving here from Hawaii, I thought my bubble tea obsession would have to end but since this place has opened up my dreams have been answered. I recommend anything on the kung fu top 10 list, my favorite being the taro slush which reminds of my go-to in Hawaii! Also make sure you get the app for some free cash to use. read more

Just stopped by here on the way to work, it says they open at 11... pulled on the door and it was locked and about three people just stared at me from the inside ... are you open or not? If you arnt going by by the hours on the door maybe take them down. read more

I came in last night around 8:50 and the lady that rung me up didn't give me my exact change granted it was my fault I didn't check my money. but that's no excuse, that she didn't give me all the money they owed me. my total was 5.23 and I gave her a 20 so they owed me 14.77. so I called in and the guy practically yelled at me saying that it was my fault. yes their drinks are good but their customer service is ass. I give this place a 2 star mainly for the lack of customer service. even though im at fault the young lady is too. and the simple fact that, that man yelled at me was jus unacceptable. the overall point is fuck Kung fu tee and their customer service, won't catch me there again. read more

The guys here are usually fairly friendly, their only merit is they're fast. My only real complaint is that their taro tastes nothing like taro and the consistency is a little inconsistent. Good quick boba spot. read more

Had the Matcha milk tea with boba balls. It was good. I especially liked that they had so many dairy free options! They use Lactaid milk and other powdered non-diary milk options. Overall the tea wasn't too sweet. The only thing that would have made this better is being able to control the sugar content. I would definitely go there again. My friend got a mango tea with no sugar and it was very very tasty. Lots of options for different people. read more

I've been to KFT in cville and annandale so many times that the workers actually started to memorize what I wanted and I had my go-to drink. I was super excited that one had opened up near my work in Reston. Went with a co-worker and they messed up my order not once, not twice, but three times (at this point, the drink was still bad but drinkable and plus, we didn't want to continue wasting time.. not to mention that I was embarrassed because I had hyped this place up). Please work on fixing drinks and being consistent. read more

Quick and convenient stop to get bubble tea in the Reston area. I'm always ambivalent about Kung Fu Tea because their tea flavors are more floral than I'd prefer and their boba can be inconsistent. I go for 70% sweet at max because 100% is way too sweet for my tastebuds. I like the variety of flavors and toppings they offer, but I wish they had lychee jelly as an option. read more

What a great addition to Reston, there is hope for Hunter's Wood Plaza after all! Service is terrific and anything with taro is heavenly. I'm addicted to the taro milk tea and the mango slush is very refreshing. I wish that they would open a little earlier, it would be great to start the morning with one of their teas. read more

Delicious and complex tea flavours! I am working through the menu daily but so far my favourite is oolong that adds a smokiness to the drink. Ordered two different drinks at two different times. Winter melon tea was overly sweet, no melon flavor and I couldn't drink it. Bought a cappuccino second time and instead of an actual espresso and frothed milk, they used the cappuccino flavor they use for tea and threw in hot milk. I like bubble tea a lot but this cafe is just not as good as other tea places. The smoothie they made often so watery and they seem to always short of ingredients. The store workers always have thr same answer .. the shipment has not arrived. I go there many times often on a weekly basis. The same answer is alway there. This location has a terrific outdoor place that can at least accomodate 4 or 5 tables. The umbrellas are always shut and the tables and grounds are never cleaned. Back in summer, died cicadas were everywhere. When we bought some teas and asked to have the umbrellas up so we can sit outside under the shade , the answers are always "these are broken". What a waste to have that outdoor space. Is it truly broken or just the manager doesn't want to be bothered? I really don't think the store cares about their customers. Regardless how much i love bubble teas, i wont spend a dime there. read more

One of the worst experiences for bubble tea til date. Taro milk with oreo jelly's - tastes like left over tea powder and some cold water. No taste no sugar it's next to impossible for anyone to have a second sip... please avoid the place or ordering taro milk if u can! Good luck!! We have ordered 5 large taro milk with different jelly's. All are worst. It's great. All KFT locations are great. This one is new so they need to get their act together but the tea came out delicious.

You can customize your drink just about any way you want here, which is awesome. The green tea (even just the plain tea) is fantastic!!! It's not overly sweet and is super refreshing and has a smack of jasmine- just the way I like it. They are also not at all stingy with the boba. Sooo excited to have a boba tea place in Reston! This is definitely by far the best boba tea place out there. If you want a nice cold drink this is the place to go. When I go here I get the taro milk tea with bubbles and less ice. I'd say that's the best drink ever. Getting less ice gives you more of the liquid and the ice doesn't block out the drink. Kung Fu Tea is very convenient because there's one in every corner now ahahaha. But one thing I would say is that if you have a sweet tooth you can get more sugar and if not you can get less sugar it all depends on your perspective of sweetness. read more

I was really excited when I found out Kung Fu Tea was opening up a location close to my house. My mother and I decided to stop by there one afternoon to check it out. She ordered the green tea with red beans slush and I got the taro slush with "panda" boba (black and white boba in honey). I think the price was a little expensive for a medium drink (it's usually about / a little more than what I pay for a large), but in the end it was worth the price. The staff was friendly and relatively efficient considering the long line at the cafe! (mainly young high schoolers). My mother *loved* her drink, and mine was very good, as well. I personally like the white bubbles a lot because they are not coffee flavored. There is a nice little seating area outside that we sat at while we enjoyed our drinks. Hopefully, I will be back here soon and will bring my siblings along to try the boba, too. read more

Kung Fu Tea is really great for bubble tea and my go to drinks place. The ambience is lively and there's a huge variety of drinks to choose from. My favorite feature is the extent of the customization - you can choose the sugar level, ice level, and type of bubbles added. Some are a little too syrupy and not enough natural tea flavor comes through. The Slushes are really refreshing and good for a hot day. I recommend Taro and Coconut milk teas (or slushes) with regular bubbles, or the Honey Green Tea with Nata Jelly, or the Lychee Drink with Mango Poppers. read more

I've been to all of the Kung Fu Tea locations in the D.C. area. Although their drinks are exactly the same across all of their locations, this location is the best one. It's very clean and bright. The employees are very friendly, warm, and polite. I was just there a few minutes ago and the young female cashier and the young man who made my drink were super polite--greeting me when I came in and thanking me when I was leaving. I know it's a franchise, but it sets this one apart. Wish the other locations could train from this one. read more
